Share for review missing annotations
Using 17.1 and just upgraded to 17.3. Have loved share for review, but recently I'm unable to see location of annotations from inside ID app or multiple web browsers: Editor leaves a note, I can see the note, but there's nothing to indicate where the note belongs on the page--not all of A's comments but many of them. Other editors also can't see the annotations either.

Share for Review 'highlight' and 'strike through' issues
The share for review 'highlight' function and 'strike through' function are not visible in the host's files or the online preview. When one of our designers creates a document and then shares it with the team for review we receive a notification that text has been highlighted. When you navigate to the online preview or to the original indesign working file the notification lives in the share for review box but no text is highlighted so you don't know where the intended edit is. The same happens with the strike through function. Pinned items or using the…

export review comments
I previously used Adobe DC to send design proofs for review. I LOVE THE NEW InDesign option. Of course, it has a few bugs, but overall I love the UI right in Indesign.
However, I would like to export comments for my records and documentation. In case there is a discrepancy in a final product, I prefer to keep an archive of comments related to a project. I do not see a simple way to do this.

"Share for review" somehow linked to old file
Had an older file that was Shared for Review and used it as a template. Saved the file under a different name, another user made some changes to the file, and this other user then Shared for Review. But the Share for Review under the new file says "You cannot access comments because another user has an active review for this document". But if i open the review under the newer file it takes me to the old file. Neither of us can see the comments under REVIEW in InDesign. We can see the comments if we go to…

Share for Review - Critical Scrolling Bug with Large Documents
Indesign Version 17.0
When scrolling in large documents (200-500 pages) the browser-window of Share for Review the screen hops between 3-5 different screens multiple times a second. This bug makes the feature basically unusable. Sometimes it snaps back (maybe after rendering correctly?), sometimes it just doen't.
The bigger the document, the faster the error seems to occur. Working on my 200 page-document with my team is essentially impossible right now.
There is a post about this over here with a video: https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/share-for-review-scrolling-bug-with-large-document/m-p/12516079#M452898
Our team has this problem on Mac, Windows - and on Safari, Chrome and Firefox (didn't…

InDesign crashes when updating review link
InDesign Version: 20.1
OS: macOS Sequoia 15.3.1
Device: MacBook Pro (14in 2021)
Memory: 32G
Chip: Apple M1 MAXI regularly update a large file. Any time I try to update the Share for Review link, InDesign crashes. In smaller files, I receive an error message saying, "There was an error updating the artifact." The link will successfully update, but not without crashing or errors.

Share for Review has ISSUES
I have been using the Share for Review feature for almost two years now for my employer to review documents that I am creating for them. I use it almost daily and never had any issues until the updates that came a month or two ago.
Since the Share for Review feature was updated I can...
No longer copy text from the comments that are made to paste into my document. This is troublesome because I am generally laying out curriculum that has been written and there is constant text edits being made during our review process, so I was…

Share Review not showing online "pins"
The comments are marked on web as "Non Mapped Comments" while in Indesign they´re showed in right places!
The comments are synced "n" times before this momment
43 votesThe issue of “Unmapped Comments” has been fixed.
Please use Share for Review feature and check when you make comments on the web if they are shown on the correct Spread.

review
ID 16.0
When I receive a replacement comment I find it unfortunate that it is not possible to validate the replacement in inDesign and that it is done automatically. Same for deletion.

page range for publishment in 'share for review' is set by last print/export job
When sharing for review, the published document can be limited to a certain page range, because it takes that setting from the last print/export job. The only workaround is to first reset that range in the print/export window. Then publish for review to see all of the pages.
Being able to select what pages to share (or not) would be a nice feature in the 'share for review' interface. This way, I would not have to make versions, separating artwork ready for review, and artwork that is not.
10 votesThe fix is now available in the latest InDesign update, 15.1.1
Please update to the latest version to get the fix.

I know the most recent update was supposed to fix this issue, but I am still having issues with the blank box in the "Share for Review" section. Any suggestions?

OPTION TO: turn off share for review????
turn off share for review???? I HATE IT DON'T USE OR NEED IT. IT INTERFERES with constant popup window (lags, freezes, stalls, empty frame takes up space & time) so intrusive. I should be able to TURN OFF!!! IF I EVER NEED IT, toggle back on.
it is a time & space waster!!! hate it!!!

Share for Review / Hyperlinks not working
Hyperlinks are not working on Share for review, using image, text or even buttons. They work fine if you export the document as Interactive PDF. Already tried to delete the review and upload a new version, but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone else have this issue?

Copy and Paste from Share for Review Comments panel not working
You used to be able to copy/paste directly from the REVIEW panel COMMENT when you receive feedback. Now it won't allow you to copy what someone has reviewed and suggested as replacement text. This is very important as it makes it much more efficient to copy it from within InDesign rather than swapping between screens to do it from the browser. Please can you fix this! Thank you!

Gray boxes behind photos in Share for Review
I have been using the new Share for Review for the last little while and am enjoying receiving feedback directly on my documents for import into InDesign. However, I recently went to a published file and noticed that all of the images in my design now have a light gray square behind them. Additionally, the colours and blending on some of the images are all off or look odd. The gray boxes appear on all of my previously uploaded documents, and I've checked from multiple computers and they all appear to show these boxes.
Please refer to this thread for…

Share for Review files not updating
I'm having issues getting an existing Share for Review file to update after making changes. When I click "Update Link," it just spins and never resolves.
Here's the link to the original forum post containing the information needed.

Share for Review -Disappearing tools
I have Indesign 16.0.
On my first test of share for review, all the tools appeared.
after saving it they disappeared. Then I saw that save as function disrupts the process.
Then I signed out of my account and rebooted.
When I signed back in the tools were there again.
I opened another document (made in InDesign 16.0) and the tools were gone.THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!
How do I get the tools to stay consistently?2 votes
