Share for Review 'highlight' and 'strike through' issues
The share for review 'highlight' function and 'strike through' function are not visible in the host's files or the online preview. When one of our designers creates a document and then shares it with the team for review we receive a notification that text has been highlighted. When you navigate to the online preview or to the original indesign working file the notification lives in the share for review box but no text is highlighted so you don't know where the intended edit is. The same happens with the strike through function. Pinned items or using the marker tool are visible. I understand from other forum posts that this is an ongoing issue. Our team was very excited about using the Share for Review function to help us as we work remotely and speed up our editing time. However, it is challenging to convince everyone to continue to use the function when we have to double back to editors to ask them to provide their edits again because their first marks aren't visible.

Yes, this continues to be a problem. I've seen misalignment in markup even on the web reviewer portal. Somehow Adobe perfected a PDF markup technique, then abandoned it with the web-based sharing tools.

I agree wholeheartedly. Currently, however, the exact position is not even displayed in Indesign itself, but I have to somehow guess which position/word/letter is meant. A more precise marking would be desirable here. Both in the web interface and in Indesign.
In addition, it would be good if you can mark the changes made as done in Indesign, but the comment should not disappear, because otherwise the respective colleague has no overview of what he had given for control. Thus, it should somehow still be apparent what should be corrected for comparison.
