For long documents containing more than 50K characters, GREP search fails to find all matching instances
Since updating to CC 14.0.2 on Windows, GREP search is no longer functioning properly. Not all instances of queries are found, or not found at all.
I believe this is the case when working on documents created in an older version. In a newly created document it does work as it should.

I still have the problem in 14.0.3 Mac, in newly created documents. If the grep match is after 50,000 chars it will not be found, unless it also occurs before 50,000 - then both occourances will be found.
I went back to v 14.0 and the grep works well.

A fix, but not an update... that's just bad... we have a team and we're not all installing this and having potential issues. I have a bunch of scripts that need this to work.
Is this being fixed completely in the next update? 14.0.3? and how soon?

Thank you for the fix. When this fix will be in the next official InDesign update, do we have to uninstall the plugin or do something about it? I hope this plugin fix won't break anything when updating to the next InDesign version.

Will this fix be a part of the 14.0.2 version or will there be a 14.0.3 that includes this bugfix?

That was stupid - although careless is probably a better word ;o) -

@phantom steve: Theres an instruction for Mac as well. Its not a vbs for Mac.
Although i'd prefer the Hotfix to be in the cloud as well. Maybe as a Beta-Branch.

Double-clicking the .vbs file on my iMac opens Text Wrangler.
Is there any other way to install ? -
Bastian S. commented
Why do we have the cloud if you dont use it for updates... just push the fix
