Place multi-page PDF pages: Place Gun will be unloaded after first page is placed to a frame
New bug with InDesign 17.2 that I cannot see with InDesign 17.1.
[1] Load multiple PDF pages from a multi-page PDF to the place gun.
[2] Hover the loaded cursor over a graphic frame to place the first page in that frame
[3] Click to place the first page.
Result:
The first page is placed to the frame
BUG: The rest of the loaded PDF pages in the place gun are unloaded. The place gun is empty after you placed the first of several pages to a frame.
WHAT WORKS:
[1] Load multiple PDF pages from a multi-page PDF to the place gun.
[2] Draw out new frames with the loaded cursor to place one page after another

I have just updated to 17.2.1 and this fix does seem to work.
I can now place a multipage pdf into existing graphic frames using the default 'Place' function.
Thanks for fixing this!

I`ve same problem after last actualisation.
Temporary solution is before import (ctr+d) (place) mulitipage pdf to document you need make single pages in ACROBAT DC from pdf and palce it all. THEN It`s working

This is extremely important. We use this on almost every document, every day at work. This has been "under review" for almost a month now!

Please fix this ASAP.
I use the Loaded Place Gun Cursor constantly when creating Impositions. I create an Imposition Template in my Master Page (rotated pdf pages etc). Then I delete the content images from the placed pdf pages in my Master Pages. Then I insert as many new pages as I need and use the Loaded Place Gun Cursor to import a Multi-Page pdf, clicking them in from 1 to 100....etc. Then I edit the Original layout in my Master Pages (cropping Bleeds and Slug etc) which then applies those changes to every page in my Document at once. Very Quick and Handy. -

I have the same problem since updating to the last version - (17.2)

Yep, same issue here. I use many templates with box frames already in place to just import a multipage PDF once and start dropping in pages but now I have to do one import per page.

Same issue here. It was fine when I used it before the weekend.
Hoping a fix will be found soon!

Having the same issue. For me this feature is absolute necessary in my job, creating books by importing about 300 pages of multipage PDF files in one action ... placing each single page is no alternative for me. I'm using now Zanelli's Multi Page Importer script, which works fine, but the advantage using Indesign's place method is, I can import the PDF pages directly into the frames (which I created in the sample page)

I just ran into the same issue. This was working 2 weeks ago. :( Unfortunately, any temporary fixes are not going to work for my scenario.

Same issues here too. I tried the script, but it is a little clunky to use with my templates.

Having the same issue since upgrading to 17.2, another work around for this is to revert back to versions 17.1.
