Could you add a tab in the ‘Table Options’ dialog window when selecting a table. This tab called Table Summary would be a field that allows you to add a brief description on what the table is about. The information would then carry over to a PDF when you export it.

An accessibility check on the PDF without a table summary produces a warning. Whilst tables summaries are not compulsory for accessibility, in order to get 100% compliance (green tick), tables summaries need to be added which Microsoft Word and other programs seem to do whereas Adobe Indesign does not.

The attached PDF further explains the request.

1. Our main need is a way to specify "subheader" rows which will repeat after the main header at the top of each page. In the screenshot, "Bank of America" with gray shading and "Canadian region" are both examples of subheader categories which appeared previously in the table. We need them to continue to appear as a subheader row, underneath the main header, with an option to add text (in this example, "cont."). Note we need the ability to style the additional text.

A GREP style which could be used on the subheader row would be even better, as sometimes the table does not include all of the subheader text in the continued row. An example: The original subheader might read "Bank of America NA ($54,890)" and the client wants the subheader continued row to only show up as "Bank of American NA cont." So a GREP look behind feature would be great.

2. A secondary need for which we have a workaround…The main table header (in green in the screenshot) also needs "cont." added on subsequent ages. Our present workaround is to go ahead and include "cont." in the first table header, but under Table Options select Header, Repeat Header: Once Per Page and check "Skip First". On the first page of the table, we then insert a header row not defined as a header row. Not obvious, but it works.

The continued subhead feature would be extremely valuable to us because we have tables which run dozens of pages long, as is the case with many users who work with long tables. Now, the subheader rows must be manually inserted at the top of each row. Although we have written scripts to do this, the problem is when the table is edited by rows being added or deleted. The manual subheader rows must then all be deleted and then re-added.

Adobe, please change the standard color presets for printing to the proper standard printing conditions and profiles that are published by the European Color Initaitive ECI (eci.org.). The icc-profiles are publically available.
Actually, Adobe still uses outdated FOGRA39 characterization data by default, second Adobe applies FOGRA39 in an own icc-profile that differs from the standard-profile by the ECI.
FOGRA39 is outdated, it's been replaced by FOGRA51 since years, for good reason. ECI has published the corresponding standard ICC-profile "PSO coated v3", which should find it's way into Adobe's color settings. Please integrate the official ECI-profiles, because these are highly optimized by professionals for printing and color.

Please, please, PLEASE update the Interactive Buttons and Forms functionality to include the ability to assign fonts to the Interactive Text Boxes.

Currently, I have to hope that the design I have made is 100% final approved before I can create the final Interactive PDF and spend additional time fine-tuning the fonts and paragraph alignment. If there are any changes after that, I have to go through the entire process again, losing valuable hours, depending on the length of the document. The ability to change only the font size is useless.

But if the functionality was included in the InDesign palette for the Buttons and Forms, or available via the Character palette, I would assign everything once, during the initial design, and it would carry though no matter how many iterations were created.

Let's say you have a file that's CMYK plus one spot color (let's say Pantone 123). You want to create a PDF file for print that is only the separation of the Pantone 123 spot color. What I have to do now is create the color separation first by printing to file, then distill the resulting .ps file.
Can there be a way to directly export the color separation by using Export to Print PDF?
Maybe there is a way to do this already, but I have not been able to find any info online on how to do this.
