History Window
Using the hotkeys Command > Z to undo constantly brings up a tour of the History window. Don't want to use it or I would already and am really over it telling me to. Please how do I stop the prompt?

History panel logs issues
The history panel does not allow some actions to be undone. One is the act of stepping back several steps. As long as no new actions are done, you can step forward again, but as soon as you complete a new action, the inbetween steps disappear. The undo/redo history is also cleared; only new actions completed after that point can be undone. This is a problem because is makes it impossible to test various options and then quickly return to the original option, as I have often done in the past. Instead, the desired option must be set up again…

History panel erases undo option and history steps (behavior different from previous version) and
The history panel seems to be limited to 5 actions. Additionally, with the latest update (20.2), if you access the history panel at all, it overtakes the Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z function for undo/redo as it has worked in the past.
When the history panel is opened, it selects the most recent action. Even if the panel is closed, whatever is done after this point erases all the other actions, so that you are left with "open" as the previous step. Edit>Undo (Ctrl+Z) is disabled, and you can no longer undo work.

Text Frame Lag when Window > Control (Panel) is enabled.
When Control Panel is enabled (Window > Control), double clicking into a text frame has a lag for about a second. Turning off the Control Panel helps but this is not a solution.
I think this lag is related to loading fonts in background for the select field – doesn’t matter how much or how less fonts are installed/loaded on Mac.
As this is a long existing performance issue yet (available since 2018), could you please consider to optimize the lag for text frames within a future update, finally?

Color theme tool pop-up window unable to be closed
I'm running Adobe Indesign 14.0.1
To recreate, select the color theme tool and click anywhere on a placed image, a small horizontal color theme menu pops up with five swatches and a few other buttons to the right of the swatches, and then never goes away. Ever. There is no option to hide or close the window and while I appreciate having a palette to pick from on my screen, I went with my own palette for this project and the color theme tool was unnecessary.There needs to be some way to hide or close this small window…

Scroll bar disappears in Pages panel, swatches panel,Layers panel and background task panel loses its boxes on the right.
2017.1 Release, 12.1.0.56 x64 build
The pages panel loses its scroll bar and doesn't display all pages. Panel needs to be opened wide to display anything. This cuts off easy access to document's later pages.

Pop up window doesn't go away
when I save my ID file to a removable drive, I get a pop up window saying I am saving to a removable drive. There is a Check Box to "Don't Show Again" and it happens everytime.
Tried support, but they were no help

[ID-4257175]Pages Panel: Buttons are hidden behind page number text when window is thin
When the pages panel is as thin as possible, the buttons such as delete page are behind the text that says the number of pages. It is therefore not possible to click on the buttons. I always use this panel in a thin band, and it is now less practical.

Color and Swatch in control panel extends pass screen edge
- Indesign CC V13.1 on Windows 8.1 Pro
2.When selecting the fill or stroke for a shape in the control panel at the top, the pop out panel with swatches extends beyond screen edge
- I expect the entire pop out panel to show with the swatches displayed

pages panel
Hi, when I have the Pages panel open and add a few pages or spreads, I can't see the numbers of the final pages, they're hidden by a blank panel. Could someone please look into this or provide a workaround. Screen shot attached.

layers panel disappearing
My layers panel keeps disappearing - I go to the "Window" menu and open it up, do what I need to do and next time I go to use the layers panel - which I haven't closed - it has closed again... I need to keep revisiting the "Windows" menu every time I want to use it.

Scripts Panel Sorting
InDesign 2017.1 (v12.10.56); macOS High Sierra 10.13
When I open the Scripts Panel, nothing is in order. It used to be in alphabetical order like the Scripts Panel folder in my user library.

Links panel
When you highlight a link in the document, it used to highlight the corresponding image in the links panel, so you could easily edit or replace, instead of having to scroll through the links panel trying to identify the asset from the thumbnail. A minor workflow thing but it makes a difference. Would love to have this feature back in.

Opening Text Wrap panel crashes application
- Indesign 2021
- Place image, open text wrap panel, does not open panel and crashes.
Happens with any image and any document. Panel opens fine if pic box empty.
OsX Mojave.
Gone back to 2020.

Cannot resize Epub Interactivity Preview panel
I can not resize the Epub Interactivity Preview Panel at all.
I am using the latest InDesign CC 2018.SWF Preview panel is fine.

Media panel gone HUGE
So, after running in a while on the new Adobe 2020 app, I noticed that the Media panel started to grow in size each time I opened the tab. Before I could notice, the Media panel was absolutely huge.
I tried to:
Reset the workplace
Reset the UI scalling
Uninstall and Install again InDesign 2020 (While removing UI Preferences)
Restart PC
Nothing has worked.
The only solution that seems to work as of right now is to downgrade to 2019.

paragraph styles panel

Expected: Paragraph Styles Panel opens to a list of my styles
Actual: Panel opens and the list cannot be seen until the panel is widened to 3x its normal size.The panel appears to be split into two columns with the styles in the left column. When the panel is narrowered (ie normal size), the styles column collapses and the styles list cannot be seen. The only way to access the styles list is to enlarge the width of the panel to about 3x its normal size. Please see the attached image showing the action of the styles…

When pasting or exporting, the Preview Panel will not resize, expands to the entire window
When exporting or pasting in Indesign 2018, the preview panel will not resize.
It expands to the entire window which there is no minimize button on top, only the cancel button. I have resize arrows but will not resize.1 vote -
Panel Keyboard shortcuts don't work if panel is minimized
If I have a keyboard shortcut assigned to a Panel item, then that shortcut ONLY works if the Panel is visible (i.e. not minimised).
Please allow all Panel Keyboard shortcuts to work wether the panel(s) are minimised or not
