InDesign 16.0 saves Converted files in last used folder, not containing folder
On Catalina OSX (10.15.7), InDesign 2021 (16.0) saves a Converted file to the last used Finder folder, rather than the folder the document is contained in.
Happens with 'Save As...', as well as saving InCopy assignments.
The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – version 16.0.1.
Please update to this version to get the fix.

Better remove that FIXED tag, Ravi.
17.0 x64 doing it again.
This is now doing the same in Indesign 17.0 2022.
Still an issue here. Latest update. Noticed it's happening on documents marked [converted].

Can we open this up again? This is still happening for me. Big Sur 11.5.2, InDesign 16.4. It's slowing me down.
Still not working- Don't mark this as fixed. Big Sur 11.4, Indesign 16.3.2
Still not working with idml and pdf. Please, for the love of god, stop changing this functionality. I am working with very many files very quickly, I can't paranoically keep copy-pasting the source folder address every time i move around from order to order, file to file. It's basic functionality.
Also, the filenames break if they contain "." anywhere but at the end. Its basic functionality, fix it, we pay you per subscription way too much for what you're "updating" from version to version. You're generating more malfunction than useful features. We're paying you to further break the program basically.
Still not working for me. Uses last used folder when exporting pdf, keep having to move documents around. Going back to 2020 version.
Big Sur and Indesign 16.2.1
This is still a problem for me. New MacBook Pro with the MI-chip. InDesign 2021 (16.0.2) saves an Exported file to the last used folder, rather than the folder the document is contained in. This is incredibly frustrating for my work process, and crazy that this wasn't caught in QA testing. I just spend 1+hour in the adobe live chat with no solution other than to post a new comment on this uservoice page.
If you click on the tree little dots in Creative cloud, you can update to 16.0.1

The update 16.0.1 isn't showing up for me in Creative Cloud.
Any ideas please?
I'm using Catalina 10.15.7.
I am still seeing this problem. I updated to 16.0.1 yesterday and it's still doing the same thing. Suggestions?
Thanks Ravi, fixed after the update!
Thanks for the fix!!
16.0.1 is still not showing up in my Updates on CC. I'm on Mojave 10.14.6. Do I have to enable auto update to make this happen or what?

Thank you for this fix!
Thank you for the Fix! Its greatly appreciated!!!
Is it really fixed this time?
Anyone try it yet?
I had to go back to a previous version last time it was determined that it was fixed. I don't want to have to do that again...
