Color theme tool pop-up window unable to be closed
I'm running Adobe Indesign 14.0.1
To recreate, select the color theme tool and click anywhere on a placed image, a small horizontal color theme menu pops up with five swatches and a few other buttons to the right of the swatches, and then never goes away. Ever. There is no option to hide or close the window and while I appreciate having a palette to pick from on my screen, I went with my own palette for this project and the color theme tool was unnecessary.
There needs to be some way to hide or close this small window that pops up, like other toolbars that are able to be closed by clicking an X button somewhere on the pop-up, or under the window toolbar and checking and unchecking to toggle visibility.
User is no longer facing the issue anymore with latest InDesign version.
Closing the issue.

Hi!
I found a way to close this window. Select the eyedropper (Color Theme Tool) again and press ESC. -

This is still an issue. This didn't use to happen - the panel would auto-close when another tool was selected. Can we have that default action back please?

Any word on this bug . . . it's aggravating . . . can these two tools should be separated or at least make it more difficult to accidentally click on?

I am experiencing the same thing. It's in my way and I don't use it. Didn't;t mean to activate it but it popped up when I tried to use the eyedropper tool.

Click the color theme tool icon
Use it to pick up color from an image
The usual mini color palette doesn't show up, just nothing
A while later the mini palette appears and then won't go away even with ESC or clicking away -

When using the Adobe Color Themes panel, there's a pop up that says "Click to set active color" when you hover over color swatches. You can't click on the color beneath the pop up without first moving the mouse off of the pop up. It makes using the color themes panel slow and obnoxious. Please either move the location of the pop up off of the swatches one is trying to access, or remove it altogether (or give us an option to disable it)
Turning off "Show Tool Tips" in preferences doesn't fix the issue.
It is also an issue when using the same panel in Illustrator. I'm certain there are other apps that are affected as well.
