I had the disappearing problem of the scrollbar in the pages panel still after they closed the previous bug? they said it's fixed in 13.1 but not in my version.
I work on mac and pc on the pc version I still had it BUT I read the solution from a mac user about deleting prefs and that helps me.
here is what I did.
close InDesign and search in the InDesign folder for Global Preference Panel cut this one and save it on your desktop. start InDesign and it will give you an error no panic just close it and place the GPP back on the place where you took it out. now start InDesign and voila the scrollbar is back ;) I think this is the same as deleting your prefs maybe a dummie way but it works. have fun

came accross this thread while trying to fix the *missing scrollbar / not scroll to the end of the list* in the swatchpanel.

I have MacOS Mojave, Indesign 11.4.1.102

For me the fix was deleting this single file:
~/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign/<Version #>/<Language>/InDesign SavedData

I am still having the same issue....still in InDesign 13.1 :( Scrollbar keeps disappearing on Swatches panel. Trashing prefs fixes temporarily...but I have to keep trashing them! Problem resurfaced only an hour after trashing prefs today :(

Hi Abhinav - I have the 13.1 update. But I still have the problem.
The full Pages panel does not show, esp the last 2 pages. Scroll bar doesn't show till I click on it.
Please help!

1. InDesign CC 13.0 (latest)
2. Narrow/resize the pages panel
3. The text at the bottom minimizes (…) and options are still clickable
4. The text at the bottom overlaps with the options, they can't be clicked anymore

Thanks to the team - under Windows 10 everything is fine again.

For Mac users deleting this file was the solution for me:

Macintosh HD/Users/<USER>/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign/<Version #>/<Language>/InDesign SavedData (only this file "InDesign SavedData" has to be deleted).

I'm having this same issue. I thought the latest Indesign release would've fixed it but it's exactly the same in the new CC.

Having updated to InDesign CC 2018 (version 13.0.1 x64), the layers panel has now lost the 'Click to select item' boxes which are normally displayed to the right of each item.
I'm running on Windows 10 (Version 1709, OS Build 16299.214).
I uninstalled, reinstalled, no change. Uninstalled without saving preferences, reinstalled, no change.
I then installed CC 2017 (12.1.0.56 x64) and the selection boxes are present in that version.

It looks like this solution is for WINdows and I am on MAC. Running macOS Sierra Version 10.12.6

I've recently upgraded to a MS Surface Pro 4, and am having some very serious display issues with InDesign (and InDesign only.)

I'm using CC2018, v13.0.1 x 64

1. Pages Panel
- My page master thumbnails have disappeared
- Pages do not align correctly (set to display vertically in the attached screenshot)
- Cannot scroll to the bottom see the rest of pages
- Tools missing at bottom of pages panel

2. Layers Panel
- Selection dots are missing, can't select individual objects without right clicking in the panel

3. Swatches Panel
- Can't scroll all the way to the bottom of the available swatches
- Tools are missing at bottom of panel

4. Background Tasks Panel
- Can't cancel a task, button is cut off

These issues are making it very hard for me to do my job, please help!

I have this issue after changing to Microsoft Surface - it is a massive problem!
I also can't see the bottom of the swatches panel, and the selection dots in the layers panel.

Panel Swatches (didnt show button create swatch etc). Master Page empty, Panel Page not full display

In the Pages Window the last page is not accessible in the window. It is cutoff. The scroll is literally at the bottom and the last page is covered up and you cannot Select it.

This is very annoying - I have attached a screenshot of how the page is showing only 25 of 26 - because you cannot scroll to the last page - 26.

Please fix.
