When pasting or exporting, the Preview Panel will not resize, expands to the entire window
When exporting or pasting in Indesign 2018, the preview panel will not resize.
It expands to the entire window which there is no minimize button on top, only the cancel button. I have resize arrows but will not resize.1 vote -
Panel Keyboard shortcuts don't work if panel is minimized
If I have a keyboard shortcut assigned to a Panel item, then that shortcut ONLY works if the Panel is visible (i.e. not minimised).
Please allow all Panel Keyboard shortcuts to work wether the panel(s) are minimised or not

Data merge panel blank
Data Merge WAS failing to display data field placeholders in either existing documents or new ones. I'm getting a completely Data Merge blank panel when importing a new source file, and when opening an existing document with a linked file, I was only seeing a preview of one of the records.
This persisted through a number of workspace configurations (most including a second monitor) until I broke the Data Merge panel off from the others, and cycled through the panel size presets (the up/down chevrons to the left of the panel title) - only once returned to 'standard' size did…6 votes -

About InCopy pop-over window unable to close
In the process of looking up the InCopy version number for another bug report, I opened the About InCopy window. This opened on my second screen and will not clear. There is no exit button, ESC does nothing, clicking it does nothing, clicking the links changes the content of the box but doesn't open any other options, clicking away from the box sends it behind the current window but does not close it. I cannot use InCopy as it is unresponsive underneath this pop-over box. The box can be cleared by closing out of it in Alt+Tab gallery,…

[ID-3934389]Copying animations loses timing panel settings
When copying/duplicating animations (using ANY method), the timing panel settings are completely lost. This is really bad for complicated animations. The timing panel settings should be maintained when animations are copied/pasted or duplicated in any way.

InDesign CC2019 - blank control panel
Just installed InDesign CC2019. Bizarrely the control panel containing the adjustment controls with character and paragraph setting is there but empty. I tried turning off and on, and resetting the workspace but to no avail. Resetting preferences on start up has worked but feel this could happen again.

Links panel sorting
InDesign CC 2018, 13.1 (mac os 10.13.4)
panels: links: panel options: show column: Scale.
Bug:
The sorting function for "Scale" in links panel doesn't work properly.
If I sort by scaling percentages, they list incorrectly.Example: 187 % comes between 21 % and 15 %.
That means it sorts them alphabetically as digits, but should sort them as numbers. Please fix.4 votesHello All,

properties panel is lagging
I like the new properties panel, but it seems to be a little bit laggy.
If the properties panel ist active, and I’m clicking on a text frame or image eg. it is lagging a little bit. If the panel is close, there is no issue.3 votes -
Books Panel Does Not Operate as a Standard Panel
The Books panel does not operate in the same manner as other, standard panels. When re-positioned, the panel size is changed, and the Workspace is updated or a new workspace is created, the Books panel does not 'remember' the changes that were placed on it. For the user, this is extremely frustrating behavior. The books panel should, at a minimum, remember its position/size in relation to a given workspace.

Gradient Panel and Color Panel missing all options
After using InDesign 18.5 for some time the options for adjusting color in the Color Panel and Gradient Panel go away. This can be fixed by resetting the user preferences/settings (hold shift/cntrl/option/command while opening Indesign). This fix is only temporary and eventually the options disappear again. This is driving me nuts!

The Book panel does not remember its size and location
The Book panel is the only panel in InDesign that doesn't remember its size and position when you close and re-open it.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a new book (File > New > Book). The book panel is shown at the centre of the screen. No need to add documents to it.
- Move the panel to another location on the screen, and change its size in the usual way (click-drag on a corner of the panel).
- Save the book and close it.
- Re-open the book.
Expected behaviour: the book panel is opened at the same location and at the…
14 votesBook panel is a special type of panel that is always associated with the .INDB file – unlike other panels where there is no actual association with a file on disk. The panel also shows the name of the Book file. If that INDB file is deleted, then the panel does not have any meaning.
Only when the Book file is opened is the Book panel available. So it can’t be part of a workspace & thus its size and location also can’t be fixed as there could be multiple Book files that can be opened simultaneously.—

Pages window isn't showing pages
v 17.2
With the new update, the Pages window/panel is not showing the pages in document. The panel is locked to the side in my workspace. When InDesign is opened the panel needs to be unlocked from side and click on Pages tab to have pages show below. Re-lock the panel and click on Pages tab to show document pages. Please fix. UI scaling window problems
There are numerous problems with the new UI Scaling Feature when it is set to any size other than the smallest. I've attached several screenshots and a screen recording.
Screenshot 1: New document window. Toolbars slightly overlap the buttons and the ruler.
Screenshot 2: On the right edge of the main window, there is a gap between it and the panels.
Screenshot 3: Bottom of the main window has a white bar along the bottom.
Screen recording: Panels that all collapsed down to an Icon or Icon/Name only don't pop up in the right position when…5 votes -
Control Panel missing fields for Type
Updated to InDesign 17.2 and noticed that some of the fields to the right in the Control Panel are missing for type. Using 27-inch monitor in full screen mode. If take out of full screen mode and move my window way over to the left off screen, and pull the Control panel out, then I see the fields. They used to fit.

PDF Comments panel doesn't fill full height of panel
The actual content inside the PDF Comments panel does not fill the full available height of the panel. Leaves an awkward wasted empty space at the bottom of it. Screenshot attached.
