Using eyedropper to copy text attributes crashes InDesign CC 2018
Using the eyedropper tool to copy text attributes crashes InDesign every time.
Fix of the issue is now available in InDesign’s latest November’17 update.
Please upgrade to the latest version InDesign CC 13.0.1 for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.
Thanks,
InDesign Team

Hey, I had the same issue which I have managed to fix. Try double-clicking on the eyedropper tool and checking the boxes that say "Character Settings" and "Paragraph Settings"

I have replaced all PS fonts with Open Type and everything was normalized.

eyedropper tool won't sample text attributes correctly. My highlighted text turns invisible when I sample another word, and if I color it so I can see it it's still the same text as before I sampled. SUPER ANNOYING! May as well use Illustrator if I want to manually set text! I've double-clicked the eyedropper and everything is selected and I updated my InDesign last night. STILL HAPPENS! HELP! LOTS OF TEXT TO SET!

I just started having this same issue today. Highlighting text and using the eyedropper tool transforms selected text incorrectly. I'm getting large stroked outlines, instead of the correct text attributes. It's not crashing, it's just not working correctly.

CC 2018 eyedropper does not work with files created in CC 2017. When you click on selected text it gives it a border.

Why do we have the cloud if you can't provide fixes over the cloud... ? I don't get it

Version: The newest update of Adobe InDesign CC 2018.
Every time I have a line of text selected and use my eyedropper tool to pick/copy a different text style with my cursor to my current text, the program shuts down. This is a bug which now happens since the newest update. Hasn't happened to me before. -

I'm also having this same issue, but it's not just with copy. It crashes with objects as well. It is an immediate shutdown of the entire program every time.

This issue happens for me every time I use eye dropper tool, even if its a new document with only a two cell table on the page. Running Indesign on OSX.
