  1. Publish Online does not zoom in/out or change orientation properly on mobile

    I am using InDesign 19.3, and have been using Publish Online to create dozens of magazines in digital format. I have just realized, however, that when viewing them on phones (either Apple or Android), the orientation switches are klunky and zooming in/out does not work very well. We do have the code embedded in a simple frame so that it can be branded with our logo. That should not make a difference, however. This problem seems to go far back in the forums and there have been no improvements or updates over time. Is there anything in the pipeline…

  2. Clicking on bookmark in bookmark panel resizes view

    When you double-click on a bookmark in the Bookmarks Panel to go there, the view resizes to a random zoom. (Random as far as I can tell, anyway, there is probably a reason for the zoom level deep in the code).

    Not sure if this is a bug or a feature request, but navigating a long document via the Bookmarks Panel would be much more useful if the view stayed at the same zoom level.

  3. Text rendering bug during regular works and also in the presentation mode

    Hello, I am facing a strange text rendering bug in the InDesign v18.4 on my Mac Pro 7,1 during regular work on the InDesign document (it doesn't matter which one), mainly while using magnifying glass tool (zoom in / zoom out) and during the presentation mode (see video and screenshots).

  4. Snapping objects is funky

    When moving or scaling objects and aligning (snapping) them to guides or objects, they don't snap to the guides or objects exactly. I regularly
    need to zoom in and visually align them correctly.

  5. Publish online doesn't work properly in chrome browser on new mobile devices (android)

    Hi there,

    We have published an interactive document with Indesign "publish online" feature. It works flawlessly in every browser, except in Chrome on some new mobiles phones with Android (not possible to go back or forward through pages or zoom). On the contrary, Interactivity and videos work properly.

    We have the last indesign version (2021. Creative suite)

    What's the problem?

  6. scroll bar disappears

    My scroll bars are CONSTANTLY disappearing when working in InDesign and using key commands to zoom in and out. This is SO annoying, and I am always having to reset my workspace. Literally fix your buggy software or I'm leaving. This is ridiculous.

  7. Files open small and display in the top left only - scrolling goes hay wire

    the program seems to be functioning, but will only open and create new files in the top left hand corner of the screen. If I zoom in, it will zoom, but only in that small space. If I scroll, it goes hay wore showing only grey and clipping lines like it can't process what its viewing.

    Help, I can't use Indesign at all with it like this.

  8. Basic Shortcuts Gone

    InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator all lost shortcuts such as spacebar hand, zoom, unable to scale boxes in InDesign or constrain placed images, Photoshop you can't constrain a scale with shift. All same in Illustrator. Just noticed these yesterday and assumed it was Mojave, which I installed Saturday. I updated Adobe upgrades but that didn't help.

  9. Page(s) in InDesign moving back and forth; Pasteboard not accessible

    InDesign 2023 v 18.0 Page(s) in a document will move back and forth, especially after CTRL Zero short cut key stroke is used. The movement is constant and doesn’t stop without changing the zoom percentage each time.
    In addition, InDesign is not allowing me to view work on something on the pasteboard. It moves the document back over and I can’t access the elements I was working on, on the pasteboard. I can change the View to “Entire Pasteboard”, but if I zoom in too far InDesign does the same thing… moves the document back over and I can’t access…

  10. Command & Space Problems

    Updated to MACOS - Catalania, now animated zoom doesnt work anymore by holding COMMAND & SPACE! InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop can`t do it anymore. Also holding SPACE to move the Paper doesnt work anymore.

  11. Text box disappears, styling not displayed in real time

    I am using the latest Indesign update for M1, 16.3.2 (Big Sur 11.4)
    I am now having problems where the text box that I am styling disappears. I either have to zoom in or out, flip pages, or now go as far as closing the file and opening it, because Indesign is either not displaying the changes made, or the text disappears. Placing a cursor within text is also not accurate, and either a character to the left or right.
    These are new issues, please advise.

  12. Bug: Arrange mode "4-up vertical" scales one document differently

    System: Windows 10, Indesign 17.1
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open 4 identical documents in A4 size, preferably single spreads
    2. From the menu select to arrange them as "4-up vertical"
    3. Press Ctrl-0 on all to fit the documents into the window
    4. Compare the zoom value

    In my case, on a full HD monitor, one document ended up having a zoom of 51.75% while the other three had 51%.

  13. black background on pictures with GPU accelaration ON

    With GPU Performance ON i have a black background on certain zoom in or out with some linked pictures or PDFs. With Both 2021 and 2022 versions. Pictures attached.

  14. Information panel not usable

    I use Indesign 18.3 on MSI CreatorPro X17 W11 (last version) PC and the Information panel is not usable. The panel is far to big, and not movable !!!!
    The monitor setup is 3840x2160 with zoom factor of 225%.
    It seems the zoom factor is appied to the text but NOT to the Information panel size. The app and other panels are OK.
    I reset completely the caches and personal parameters, nothing helps.

  15. Hairlines/artifacts randomly appearing on screen

    1) InDesign 16.1 (and othre versions)

    2) Place an image or object. Apply a drop shadow. Pan/scroll, zoom, enable or dissable output preview

    3) Consistent rendering.

    4) Glitches of bands of light or dark pixels may appear over images, in transparencies and effects. These may come and go depending on resolution preview mode, zoom and/or if overprint preview is rendered. (The lines are similar to tiling lines in PDFx1a in that they are rendering glitches presumably caused by floating point calculations)

  16. inDesign buttons not show

    Some interactive buttons not show in acrobat DC. I have to click on something (e.g. the zoom) for showing all interactive buttons. Huge bug!

    Tested on windows and mac.

  17. InDesign 16.2.1 completely broken (Big Sur)

    16.2.1 completely broken/unusable on Big Sur. View continually jumps around and fractures, whether you're interacting with the program or not. The moment you zoom/drag to the view you want, it jumps and fractures to another view. Had to revert.

  18. Scrolling issues

    Scrolling up and down in a document and in the pages widow etc stopped working after v 19.0.1 was installed. Same with alt + scroll to zoom in and out. (PC/Windows).

  19. Disappearing objects

    I'm finding several of my indesign documents now have this lovely helpful trait where random objects dissappear and reappear off the page depending on zoom or moving other objects near it making it near unusable as a program unless I waste time copying and pasting everything on to a new document. Sort it out adobe this program should NOT have this level of bug at v14!

  20. Publish Online feature has issues when viewed in iOS 13

    We are using the "Publish Online" feature inside Adobe Indesign to make some of our content available on our website. We've recently received reports from users with Apple iOS 13 mobile devices that the content is not displaying properly on those types of mobile phones. When the content first opens, if you double tap the page zooms in ok and double tapping again zooms out ok. However, if you try to pinch/zoom, the page blows up very large such that you can only see a couple words and you cannot pinch to get back out. Sometimes…
