   We have concluded our investigation into the issue and found that the issue is specific to few versions of MacOS 10.14.×.
   As a part of our investigation we had reached out to many of you, where many of you have confirmed that the issue gets resolved after upgrading to MacOS 10.14.5.

   Note:
   If you are NOT using MacOS 10.14.5 and still facing this issue, please upgrade your MacOs to 10.14.5 version.

3. Export to PDF function crash in InDesign 15.1

   The issue reported is at Apple’s end.
   Hence, Apple is recommending to update macOS to 10.15.x version in order to resolve this issue.

   Please update your macOS to Catalina. If you still face this issue in macOS 10.15 do add your comment in this thread.

5. [ID-4216880]Placed graphic displays and exports outside stroke.

   Thank you for your support all this while. The issue is now fixed in the latest update of InDesign.
   Please upgrade to the new InDesign 14.0 from your Creative Cloud Application.

   If you are unable to see the update yet, click on the menu (three dots) on the top right corner of Creative cloud app and click on “Check for App Updates”.

    Hi,
    In order to reproduce the issue we sent information to all the affected users who have either voted or commented on this thread.
    Based on the replies we got we could infer that the issue is occurring when a third party software or application is also running in parallel. Some examples of the software used include Global Auto-correct, Google Chrome,
    Moreover, when the issue occurs it seems to hamper all CC applications such as Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
    A possible fix for the solution includes restarting the application or restarting the system.

    In the absence of any consistent reproducible steps, we are currently closing this thread as “not reproducible”. In case you again encounter the issue, please create a new thread mentioning the steps with which we can reproduce the issue and additional softwares, if in case any, that you are using.

    Thank you for your patience all this while.
    This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.

14. InDesign False Ligatures Bug

This has been a problem since CS5 and we recently had it occur in CC2015, so it is still there. Affected fonts have been many over the years, including licensed Adobe fonts. Fonts can be Open Type or PostScript. Language setting can be English US, UK, or seemingly anything else. The only thing that works to avoid it is to turn off Ligatures which is generally unacceptable, so the only workaround is a targeted GREP style to apply ligatures to only the pairs that should have them for that file. This is a long-standing problem which has been reported in forums various times and needs to be addressed. There is no sure fire way to reproduce the bug. Only thing that sometimes works is to brute force load/unload fonts until the problem occurs. It seems that once the problem occurs the first time it may then become more frequent on that computer. I know someone who has even seen the effects of this problem in printed material (i.e., in a book they were reading).> >

    The fix of the issue is now available in the latest InDesign 2025(v20.4.1.004). We recommend you upgrade to the latest version for the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update, go to the Creative Cloud application click on the context menu on the top right, and click on Check for App Updates.

17. InDesign 15.1.1 English dictionary missing plural word spellings

18. Shortcuts and keyboard keys stop working.

There does not seem to be a common cause or specific file(s) that sets it off and it may or may not happen to all open documents if more than one is open. Generally closing the document and reopening it helps, but there have been times where I have to restart the program for anything to work. The issue includes any shortcuts and sometimes keys such as the arrow keys when trying to edge a graphic or text box over. Generally, I am able to type in the file name if I am trying to save my work before I close the program, but there have been times that my keyboard is disabled there as well and I have to save over what I have open, rely on the auto-backup file, or duplicate the file in Explorer and rename it so I don't lose the original file. This has not been an issue in any other programs except InDesign and has only been in the past few weeks. The crashing since the last update has subsided, but this issue has not. I would love to know how to fix this.> >

19. InDesign Color Settings Are Overwritten by Other Versions

    The issue has been fixed in the latest release of InDesign – InDesign 2021. The fix was also available in the previous version of InDesign – version 15.1.2
    Please update to either of these versions of InDesign to get the fix.
