Wrong menu gets expanded while clicking on an item on Menu bar in InDesign
When InDesign is opened on my second screen, I can't select anything on top menus.

This happens consistently for me as well, ONLY in InDesign on Win10-Pro.

Correction... use the regular System... not enhanced. The enhanced created another bug. Large documents would not display properly when using a scroll mouse. Objects would pile up on top of eachother. Kinda like when you beat solitaire on windows.

This seemed to work for me. Not sure if its a permanent solution but I right clicked on the Indesign.exe file (not the shortcut) and went to properties and under "compatibility" I ticked the box for "Override High DPI Scaling Performed by: System (enhanced). Just to note, my windows 10 is set to scale to 150%. Don't know if that makes a difference.

I've seen issues like this that have been linked to screen resolution when you have a laptop connected to an external screen.

I'm having this same issue but only on one of the 2 monitors. It is only messing up on whichever monitor I set as the main display.

When I click on "File" the dropdown open for a second and then opens the "Window" dropdown instead.

Windows 10 has been launched since a few years ...
How is it possible that a software like InDesign still has this bug ?Any update ?

If I switch to a different monitor, the issue resolves itself. Main display (problem monitor) is 1366 x 768. Secondary (working monitor) is also 1366 x 768.

It's now April 12th; has this issue been resolved?
I was just upgraded to a new laptop running Windows 10 (old laptop was Windows 7), and I have this issue - so annoying!!

I have a user I support that just got the cloud suite and has this problem with InDesign only. Setting the text scaling the same on the laptop and the 2nd monitor gets around this, but is not a fix. It's not at all satisfactory to have to scale 2 differently sized screens the same. The user showed me how both Photoshop and Illustrator work fine regardless. This means someone on the InDesign development team needs to talk to the devs for either of the other two to see what they did.

Happening to me as well. File is the only menu that doesn't have any issues.

Ditto the comments below. Please let us know when it's fixed. Using a second larger screen essential for my Indesign work. I'm surprised this bug survived pre-release QC...

I use two screens and I run ID CC 2018.
In W10 Display, Scale and layout: 125%
Both ID on screen 1 and 2: 1920 x 1200, when I go with my mouse from the left over the menu's, File, Edit and Layout are fine, and then every menu shows the menu to the right of it. When I start from the right, the same applies.
When I use Scale and display 100% everything works fine, but this shows a font too small. -

I also am experiencing this on a LG 34' extra wide monitor. I have the display setting to only display on second monitor and the menus are also offset. This really, really slows down production tremendously. Please fix ASAP!

A colleague and I have experienced the same issue, using high-res Microsoft Surface Pro 4's.

A colleague and I have experienced the same issue on super high-res Microsoft Surfaces. A restart banishes the issue for a while, but it always comes back...

I recently upgraded to a pair of 4k monitors. I find that most things work correctly so far with the exception of some of the drop-down menus in inDesign. I refer to the 'View' menu. When placing the cursor on the View menu, the drop-down menu opens normally. When I try to slide down the menu to choose an option, it changes to the Table Menu. I can access the items in the View menu if i use the cursor keys.
