Object Layer Options Causing Image to Glitch
When Object Layer Options are used (top image over graphic, bottom image under graphic box, for example), the image will glitch and polarize. When moving around the document or toggling between regular view and preview mode etc, the image will sporadically go back to normal or alter its representation.
Normal behaviour is for the image to show as expected.

Can not make a single change to the paragraph style options
I can not make a single change to the paragraph style options or character style options. The only change it allows me to make is the font family only ONCE. This has been going on for about 2 months and can not fix it. PLEASE HELP. I can't set up a single style. It's Driving me NUTS.

Rounded corners on rectangle get rounder every time the rectangle is clicked into
Sometimes when I click into and out of a rectangle, or click and move the rectangle, the rounded corner value goes up from 0.0625 to .1667. I am using about 30 identically sized rectangles on the page, and I would like them to have identically rounded corners.

Resize text box crashes InDesign
Resizing a text box crashes InDesign CC 2018.
I need a text box to be larger to (accommodate more text) and every method I've tried to enlarge it crashes InDesign.
- Drag corner (any corner); crash.
- Manually input larger width or height; crash.
- Change text box properties to auto-size based on amount of text...add text; crash.I NEED to add text to this file TODAY.
3 votesTo identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.
We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding : Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.
We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.
If you still face this issue even after updating to the latest version of InDesign, please submit the crash report to us. (The guidelines to submit crash are available at (https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/submit-crash-reports.html)

EXPORT OPTIONS GREYED OUT

when trying to export from the recent indesign the options that i normally use are greyed out. see attached sceenshot, i have tried this on another computer and all seems fine, both are running mojave and indesign 20190 votes -
InDesign opens with tiny window
For several recent versions of InDesign, and Windows, including the most recent of both (just updated InD yesterday, and this happened shortly after), I have on rare occasions had InD open as only a tiny box showing only the basic minimize/maximize/close buttons, and a window edge, positioned in the upper left corner. If I click on the maximize button, it goes to maximized, but then cannot grab outer edges to resize the box, and minimizes just goes back to almost nothing. If I then quit InD, USING FILE/QUIT, OR COMMAND-Q, then it will reopen OK. I think, maybe, this…

Exclude color fields in book synchronization synchronized nevertheless
I have book files and do not want to synchronize the colors. I disable this in the synchronization options.
The colors will still be transferred/synced to all synchronized documents.

paragraph style options "Bullet or Number position"
Hello,
I am contacting you regarding a problem with the new version of InDesigns’ (version 18.0).
The problem is that using the "Bullet or Number position" in “Paragraph style options” to change the size of a column in a table, results in the text disappearing.Please check out the PDF and the video (in comment) below for further explanations.

Export options locked
Hi., When customising the Workspace [ i.e. colouring menus and adding Panels to the Panel Dock ] on an Apple Mac, and then subsequently using File->Export, the Drop down list of Export formats are locked out [ i.e. I cannot go from PDF Print to any other format ]. To resolve I have to go back to one of the default Workspaces such as Essentials etc, and then the Dropdown can be accessed. This happens in all recent releases of InDesign including 2019. Object Layer Options is broken in v18.3
When turning off a layer in a placed PSD file with "Object Layer Options", other layers in the PSD are also turned off, even though their respective visibility icons indicate they are showing.
See the attached file. The "Gradient Map 100" layer makes the image purple. However, when hiding the "Generative Layer 1" layer, the effect of the former layer is broken.

Selecting 'No language' from styles advanced options really exports the tag to EN in PDF
When you have a document with multiple languages and the main language isn't available in InDesign's presets, ie the document is mainly in Kirundi or Samoan and there are some English phrases, a user should be able to select 'No language' from the style's advanced options. Instead, 'No language' will export as EN and the tag in the PDF will have EN listed as the language in the tag's properties. This is problematic because the tag's language will override the document's language properties. This is a clear failure of WCAG SC 3.1.2 (language of parts).

Danish translation in 'EPUB Export Options' is wrong
In the EPUB Export Options window - Metadata - two fields are translated into Danish. But this is not done correctly.

Text frame options (Ctrl B) doesnt open since 3 days
Text frame options (Ctrl B) doesnt open since 3 days. Indesign freeze. And the Windows desktop background dissapears somtimes. I use this funtion for every project. So I don't know what to do now?

Quick export as pdf assume the last used options
When I use quick export I end up having all the same questions and options as going to file > Adobe pdf presets. So it is not much quicker.
I feel that the quick export should be a function that uses last setings and export immediatelly without further questions rather than the file location.1 vote -
Dotted line looks pixelated in pdf
When I export a Indesign file to pdf that has lines in it with japanese dot style, the dots appear pixelated in the pdf. But only the dots on a straight line, the dots in the rounded corner (see attached screenshots) look good, as do the dots on a circle line.
When I print the file they look good. But as I need to show this document on screen as well it has to look good on screen too.
Could you please fix this?

object size and position options doesn't work as expected for grouped objects
Currently if you use the size and position options in the object styles panel, it applies the x,y position to all objects individually in a group rather than to the group itself.
Anchored objects currently handle grouped objects in the correct way. This feels like a bug/oversight.
Would expect a group of objects to behave as 1 rather than being each item being treated individually within a group

InDesign in Windows ALWAYS forgets app size and position!
This has been a persistent pain for many YEARS. Everyone knows that an app should open to the last position and size. That's what the double-box icon is for in the upper right corner of the window border. Every single application in WIndows honors this "requirement" for Windows conformance.
InDesign forces Windows users to reposition and resize the program every single time it is opened. This becomes a tremendous nuisance, and in any other program would be considered incomplete and unprofessional. 21 votesThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.
If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

Gradient palette window is cutting off -- Show Options turned on
Gradient palette not fully expanding after clicking "Show Options". Everything below the Reverse Gradient option is cut off and there's no way to expand the palette window to make edits to gradient bar. See attachment.
Tried restarting computer and made sure InDesign is up to date (18.2.1)
I should also note that this is an issue on multiple computers.

No preset options showing in InDesign when trying to output high res pdf
Yes, I'm trying to output a high res pdf for print and I'm attempting to apply the usual Colour conversion / Destination and only offered either CMYK or RGB as an option.
No other presets. E.G Working CMYK- Coated FOGRA39 etc.
Any suggestions anyone.. on How I can fix? I have already Uninstalled InDesign 16.1 and then reinstalled. I tried outputting to pdf in Photoshop it seems fine - all options showing.
I looked in Library in Presets and there only seems to be a in Alias see attached2 votes
