1. I can't create my Composite Font and all of my C.F are missing

   Latest Version, Korean ver.

   Text > Composite Font > New > (making composite font) > save > ok > loading > pop up that i don't have access rights

   And When i open my works that i made with my personal composite font, pop up that indesign fail to make composite font (my composite font's name).

   I made a composite font and used it well, but when I turned on my computer and turned on InDesign, all the composite fonts were gone.
   Therefore, I tried to recreate the composite font, but the above window popped up and I couldn't use the composite font at all.
   Even though I created it from a new document, a window like the one above popped up and the composite font could not be saved.
   Please solve it as soon as possible.

2. IDML save changes Object Styles/Transparency Settings

   When I export a package the resulting IDML and INDD files are different.

   In all cases, the IDML file appears to randomly assign different transparency settings to random objects across any number of pages. One Object Style was changed to 60% opacity when it should have remained at 100%. In another a drop shadow was applied at 75% and Opacity was set to 60% for the image inside a graphic box, when neither effect had been turned on for the content of the box object.

   It has taken me awhile to track down. My partner was opening idml versions of my work, and kept nagging me about "why does this look THATway?" I finally caught on that it was the IDML export being messed up.

   The resulting files are rather large, containing many linked images, but if you wish I can provide the package of v15 of my project, which contains the two NOT MATCHING files in idml and indd formats. Let me know.

   P.S. It's possible the IDML open/import process is the culprit, but since I see the same error in the same place when I open the file each time, I suspect it was exported incorrectly.

3. sign out

   Trying to sign out of my personal account and log into the agency account. When I click "sign out" a window pops up and then disappears. I don't get signed out. I cleared cookies and signed out on web- no dice. Think I have to delete and reinstall software just to sign into a different login...

4. pannels

   sometimes panels like Links, Layer are not opening by command or clicking in Window menu, then I got a solution for this issue i.e. change the workspace to another and comeback to your old one, it will help you. But it'll be an issue for everyone else. So please solve this issue in next update.

5. Error when pasting hex color code with #

   When pasting a hex code with a hash character prefix (#) in InDesign 18.3 (macOS 12.6.8) you get an error that it is a incorrect color format. Even if I try to "correct" the pasted text by removing the hash character, I can‘t get InDesign to accept the pasted color code.

   This annoying "bug" applies to the color window/palette.

6. Extension Manager can't be found in Mac version of Indesign 2018

   I'd noticed that OpenAsset was always opening without me installing it. I close the window, it pops back up. I don't want to use that extension, but can no longer find the extension manager to turn it off. I tried using the extension dropdown to uncheck OpenAsset, but it just reopens a few minutes later.

7. windows 10 - paste number from clipboard history into X/Y-object coordinates

   How to repeat the issue:

   1. Activate Clipboard history in windows settings (win 10)
   2. Copy a random number to your clipboard (my testnumber "-2,375")
   3. Create a new document and place a rectangle (or random object) on your page
   4. Select the object and click (focus) in the field for the y-coordinates
   5. hit "windows+V" to open your clipboard history (must be activated in the settings)
   6. Click on your previous copied number.

   6-Bug. The number has been pasted two times in the y-coordinates field.

   Test system:
   - Win 10 pro (1809)
   - current Indesign CC version (how to check the actual version?)

   By the way, if you try the clipboard history in a text field in inDesign, it works totally fine.

8. Save as... drop-/pulldown menu not working

   Dropdown menu for saving as IDML file is not working. I have this problem for some (2-3?) years now. I have waited in hope it would be solved in a coming update, but after all those years it is still not solved. Therefore this bug entry.

   I tried resetting the preferences (Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift) but this does not change anything and the problem remains.

   Indesign version 15.0.1 on a late 2015 iMac

9. Blank Document/Pasteboard when Display Profile Changes

   When the display profile changes, i.e., when using automatic profile switching when room lighting changes (Spyder), document pages and any items on the pasteboard disappear. The rest of the UI remains the same.

   The 'fix' suggested elsewhere is to turn GPU preview off. However, when you do that, clicking on the document/pasteboard makes both flash white and can also make the document jump leftward to the edge of the window.

   The only real fixes are to close and reopen the document(s) or restart InDesign.

   And just in case anyone is tempted to suggest I stop using Spyder or any other display calibrator, please don't.

11. CC libraries

    CC Libraries doesn't load up properly, the drop down menu only stays open if I hold down left click on the mouse and doesn't load the library I want when I release.

    This bug has only come since the most recent update to CC2018 13.1. Running High Sierra on an iMac Pro 2017

12. Items Dirty the Document When No Change To Doc Was Made

    InDesign File Dirties On Open With No Changes

    STEPS:
    1) Open the provided file called Dirty File.indd

    RESULT:
    The title bar shows an * in front of the name, indicating a change has been made to the file (it's "dirty") although no change was made. This is a problem,, as I wonder if my file is leaking memory or will become unstable if more items or pages are added to it.

    OTHER TEST #1:
    1. Open the file Dirty File.indd
    2. Open a new untitled InDesign document and save it as Doc2.indd
    3. Choose Window>Arrange>Tile All Vertically
    4. In Dirty File.indd from the Pages panel drag page 1 and drop it into the Doc2.indd window
    5. Save and close Doc2.indd
    6. Open Doc2.indd
    RESULT:
    Doc2.indd is good, it is NOT dirty

    OTHER TEST #2:
    1. Open the file Dirty File.indd
    2. Select all items on Page 1 and choose Edit > Copy
    2. Open a new untitled InDesign document and save it as Doc2.indd
    3. Choose Window>Arrange>Tile All Vertically
    4. In Doc2.indd, chose Edit > Paste In Place
    5. Save and close Doc2.indd
    6. Open Doc2.indd
    RESULT:
    Doc2.indd has an * next to its name in the title bar. The document IS dirty even though no changes were made

    UMMM it's an InDesign document problem, you need the .indd file to see the bug and get the problem data from the document. But your web page here doesn't allow .indd files to be uploaded to this bug submit page. So...please contact me to get the file I guess.

13. Oswald Book Font Installed on Windows but doesn't work in InDesign

    I am using InDesign CC 14.0 for Windows 7 and I am having trouble with a font called Oswald. I have 3 fonts from the family Oswald installed on my computer (book, light, and bold). However, Oswald Book does not work in InDesign. It works in Illustrator and Microsoft Word so it appears to be an InDesign issue rather than a font installation issue.

14. Bug: Arrange mode "4-up vertical" scales one document differently

    System: Windows 10, Indesign 17.1
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Open 4 identical documents in A4 size, preferably single spreads
    2. From the menu select to arrange them as "4-up vertical"
    3. Press Ctrl-0 on all to fit the documents into the window
    4. Compare the zoom value

    In my case, on a full HD monitor, one document ended up having a zoom of 51.75% while the other three had 51%.

15. Scroll bars and status bar disappear in InCopy

    InCopy scrollbars and status bar (page navigation) disappear and there doesn't seem to be an identifiable way of turning these back on. Working on a corporate device so cannot test the 'Run as administrator' fix that is suggested on another forum online.

    Scrollbars and status bars are available on start up but disappear if you use the zoom tools, the device sleeps, or if you are active in another window (e.g. a browser) for some time (not sure precisely how long). Closing and reopening the program fixes the issue, but it is irritating to have to check in all stories, close, reopen and restart the workflow just to be able to navigate the document. Switching between layout and galley/story view does not affect the issue. Windows, InCopy v19.3

16. Printing a document with variable fonts garbles them

    (I sent test fonts to Josh Hadley at Adobe yesterday, i.e. Aktiv Grotesk VF)

    1. Select variable font from the menu (e.g. Aktiv Grotesk VF)
    2. Select world-ready composer
    3. Select a couple different instances from the drop-down or select an instance via the slider (e.g. Black, Bold, Regular, Light) and set some text in each
    4. Print the page from InDesign on a PostScript printer

    See the attached image. What should happen is that the repeating blocks of text should be set in the different instances you selected in step 3. They are replaced by a random font instead, only the first instance you set some text in gets printed properly.

    Platform: macOS Mojave 10.14.6
    App: Adobe InDesign CC 2020 version 15.1.3
    Printer: OKI B432, Postscript printer

17. Anchored text box in a table cell with text threads crashes when cutting

    As the title says. It sounds similar to past bugs.

    First, create a text box and add a table.
    Create a separate, new text box and add a single character in it.
    Anchor the text box to any cell in the table.
    Enable "Show Text Threads" from the View > Extras menu.
    Selecting and attempting to cut the table will lead to a long hang and crash.

    This is on the latest version of InDesign at the moment, 17.0. I am on Windows 10 20H2 19042.1288. I can verify this occurring on two separate systems.
    I've included a video walking through the steps to reproduce the crash.

    As the title says. It sounds similar to past bugs.

19. Keyboard input problem

    Windows 10. ID 14.0.1
    This is similar to the 'missing first character' issue many of us have seen in the past. What happens, randomly, your keyboard input doesn't quite work. You can try various shortcuts and they simply will not work. You have to create (or go into) a text box, type some text.. and THEN keyboard shortcuts will suddenly work again.
    Acrobat does the same thing.
    Very annoying that when you think you've saved a file that it has NOT been saved.. you only find out when going to close a file that your 'ctrl S' did not work.

20. Layout drop down does not work

    When I click on the layout menu dropdown and select any of the options like move pages, delete, duplicate, etc. Nothing happens. I have the most recent version of InDesign. I also get a default option when I click on the File drop down options and requires me to restart so I can save, export to pdf etc.. This is incredibly frustrating.
