Indesign 2020 intolerable lag of up to 10 seconds when switching from selection to text tools
Since the latest update, InDesign has extensive trouble switching from selection to text tools. This appears to be exacerbated by having more than one layout file open. I'm running Windows 10 Pro, i9 system with 64GB of ram. I've reinstalled, deleted preferences, reduced fonts installed, deactivated preflight, deactivated opentext options bug on boxes. The problem is very repeatable and proving a major work disruption.

I just downloaded Adobe Indesign 2022 and this problem is present, has there been any update to this.
I am working with Windows 11 Ryzen 7.The delay is problematic on a 40 page document
