Find/Change Panel -> Dockable ?
I'm struggling with screen estate here (laptop, no other screen) and was wondering about the Find/Change window.
It's floating on top of everything, like a modal window, but you still can interact with everything underneath.
So it is basically acting like a panel.
What I am missing here is an icon + the option to dock it and hide and show when needed.
It is quite a large panel so it very often hides things (results, context) under it.
What about 3 things :
1. "make it a (real) panel", don't change design quick and dirty, but already…187 votes -
Add a CAI Content Authenticity panel to let users check image provenance
It would be helpful to have a CAI (Content Authenticity Initiative) panel in InDesign to allow users to check the "Cr" content credentials on placed images.
(Adobe is one of the founders of CAI, so it should be implemented in all Adobe tools.)

Please rename the Assignment panel to the InCopy Workflow panel
We don't use Assignments and we don't know anyone who does, we all work on the layout; but use the Assignments panel to track the status of our stories, in the "Unassigned InCopy" category. The panel should be renamed to InCopy Workflow, though the ability to create assignments can stay for the minority of people who use that feature.

remove image from links panel
In the Links Panel, it would be very handy to remove an image that is listed simply by right clicking on it and removing it.
For example, I just manually removed over 500 images from image frames using the direct select tool. Theoretically, I could have selected those 500 images in the Links Panel, and removed them in the right click menu.

Tools handling
Instead of corner nodes which are used to resize the box, provide the easy option to user where ever they want hold the box edges to resize, it could be better to work with ID..

Larger Colour Swatch Window and Colour Creation Tools
When creating or changing a colour in the swatch window the square that shows the colour is tiny and the dragging tools be it in RGB or CMYK are the only way to choose a colour. I feel like more options could easily be availble here in terms of how to pick a colour, like a large "rainbow" grid to drag the mouse around to select exactly what you want. The current system, larger with more fidelity would be incredible!

Alt-text inside Links Panel
Can we have a column added to the Links Panel that lists the alt-text of the image so I can open/edit it from the links panel rather than finding it inside my document?

Ruler guide color should be an inline feature in the tool panel
Changing ruler guide colors requires too many steps (Layout > Ruler Guides > Change color > Ok). When a guide is selected, guide color should be (also) configurable in the tool panel. This would make it feel a lot more 'instant'.

Buttons and Forms Panel
It would be a great option to enlarge the Buttons and Forms panel. It is so small. I make a lot of fillable forms and use this panel often. Please make it larger.

Make align/do not align to baseline be available on the text control panel at top as well as on para control panel.
It is great how, at the top of the Indesign work area, when you choose the text portion of the control panel, you can still (at far right) access some paragraph tools (spacing, etc.); and how when you choose the para portion of the control panel, text tools are also still available at far right. Perhaps there is a reason I haven't thought out as yet why my idea hasn't been done, but I have to, I am CONSTANTLY needing to access the align/do not align to baseline tool when I'm in text mode, and I have to…

Properties Panel
I have been enjoying the consolidated Properties Panel that recently debuted in Illustrator 2018. Makes workflow much faster. Would be great to see this for InDesign as well!

Share for Review Editing Tools
When a stakeholder is commenting on a Share for Review document, it would be great if the editing tool they used most was either sticky or became the default. Our proofer posts around 300 comments on our magazine and when he's using Share for Review, he has to select the highlighter tool each time he makes a comment. Having it be the default (or allowing it to stick once it's chosen) would making proofing much more efficient.

pages counter in book panel
It would be useful to see total number of pages in a book.
I could be displayed in the very bottom row of book panel, next to synchronize or save book icons (on the left).24 votes -

Bigger preview in Import pdf panel
It is hard to see the PDF preview in the Import PDF panel.
It would be great if you could choose the size of the thumbnail or adjust the size of the entire panel.10 votes -

Please don't kill the Control panel.
The Control panel is more useful, less obtrusive, and more space-conscious than the Properties panel on small displays like laptops.
