remove image from links panel
In the Links Panel, it would be very handy to remove an image that is listed simply by right clicking on it and removing it.
For example, I just manually removed over 500 images from image frames using the direct select tool. Theoretically, I could have selected those 500 images in the Links Panel, and removed them in the right click menu.
There is a script by Peter Kahrel which just does exactly what you’re looking for.

A trash icon or bulk delete option would be nice but I found an easy work around. InDesign auto selects the element from the links list when you click the page number to the left of the title. Presto, hit the DEL key, rinse and repeat. two minutes of key bashing and my problem was solved. It would have taken me hours to select each object from the layers window.

I would LOVE to be able to select a lot of images in the links panel (it may be all PNGs, or all bitmaps, or all lores) and then delete them with one click – but keep the image frames.

No it is not.
Situation:
I have 10pages of document. Then i will open links panel, select 18 links od 5 diferent pages (nothing selected on page) then run the script. Script will delete all unlocked graphis and left Empty Frame. Idea is: I will select 20 links on links panel then click on trash icon and all frames with this links will be deleted on multiple pages. -
