  1. place window preview

    When placing picture there is no preview for placed picture, in previous versions there were on the bottom of placing dialog window... very annoying

  2. Tab order window is not resizable

    I design a lot of long forms inside of InDesign. Part of this process is getting the tab order correct. The Tab Order window only displays 9 rows and is not resizable. This makes at a glance review of the tab order impossible.

    Additionally, dragging and dropping rows above/below each other is broken. The blue line that signifies where I am about to drag something to does not always match up with where the drop actually happens. Sometimes it can be above another field.

  3. Second window-column disappears

    On the right side I have two columns of windows (colors paragraph effects pathfinder and so on …). I stick them together. From time to time the second, inner column disappears when I start ID. So I have to collect the windows again. But when I collect one window I need the whole Window collection appears suddenly …

  4. Animation preview window does not resize in Windows

    The animation window does not maximise or even resize in Windows. The issue doesn't seem to be in Mac devices

  6. No window appears when I open the app, not even when opening a previous document. Mac 10.13.2

    No window appears when I open the app, not even when opening a previous document. Running Mac 10.13.2 on MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012. I tried using the 2017 version and no window appears there either! I need to do my work today!!!!

    This is regarding the comments where our users are still facing the issue.
    Please note that this particular fix caters to the scenario where the UI of InDesign won’t show up even if the app has been launched successfully.

    Thank you for reporting the issue to us.
    We have fixed the issue in the latest version of InDesign, Id 14.0.3

    Please upgrade your InDesign application to the latest version to try out the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update yet, go to Creative Cloud desktop application, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right corner and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

  7. [Indesign CC2018] [Os X] Can't move application window when clicking on application name

    Users are not able to drag and move the application window when click/drag on the application name, located at the top of the main application window. When click/drag on the left or the right of the application name, moving the window is possible.

  8. InDesign window defaults fullscreen after escaping presentation mode

    When entering presentation mode (shift+w), and then escape, InDesign windows becomes fullscreen.

    When I come out of presentation view the window size gets forgotten and automatically becomes the size of my entire screen (very annoying to keep having to resize the window all the time, completely disrupts my work flow) It even cuts off the bottom tool bar, which I use a lot.

    I have an M1 Macbook, Indeisgn 17.4

    I have previously posted this and told that the issue was fixed. I followed all instructions and the issue is still there.

  9. Properties window not staying in custom workspace

    Every time I open Indesign (14.0.1) my custom workspace loads, however, since adding the new 'properties' window to this workspace, the properties panel does not load with the custom, saved workspace. Instead I have to open it separately each time from the Window menu.

  10. Document Window and Pasteboard Disappear

    When clicking and dragging to select objects or dragging an image into the document, the document window and pasteboard turn blank, so I can't see what I'm selecting or where the dropped object will go.

  11. Corrupt overlay palette window -- stretched and can't be closed

    The overlay palette window is ever-present when I open InDesign. Every time I close it from the 'window's dropdown (as it is to wide to find the X close window icon, it just keeps reopening? It is too wide to fit on the screen, and the text in the panel is pixelated. I have tried docking it to other windows to contain it, but it corrupts those too. Anyone else had this problem?

  12. the document window extends below the bottom of screen

    One file is open and you have the document window filling all available real estate besides the tool windows, when a second file is opened, the document window extends below the bottom of screen and must be resized again to view the info at the base. This issue was not apparent on pre CC Indesign

  13. CC library window disappears from workspace

    Every time I start indesign the CC libraries window disappears from my workspace. I add it again and overwrite my workspace, but it disappears again as soon as I quit. Using CC 2018 13.0 on Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.6

  15. Window resizing doesn't work in 18.1

    Hi, just updated to ID 18.1 and when I go to resize the document window to make it narrower (just grabbing the right side), it resizes the entire thing – height and width, doesn't go back to the way it was properly and ends up on the bottom of the screen, instead of just making the window narrower.

  16. Not working window tiling introduced in macOS 15

    MacOS 15 Sequoia introduced window tiling, which lets you arrange windows on the screen in tiles.

    This automatically works for any window of any app on my Mac. It also works for Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator windows, as long as «Application Frame» is activated in the window menu.

    But window tiling does not work with windows of Adobe InDesign v20. Even with active «Window Frame».

  17. Window Resizing Bug

    InDesign 18.2.1 on MacOS 12.3.1 (have been having the same issue for the past few ID updates)

    When application frame is turned off so that document windows float, document windows cannot be resized as expected. When dragging one edge, other sides of the window resize themselves – example .mov attached.

  18. My InDesign CC window will not minimise into the dock?

    Hi,

    Not sure where to go with this one but I have just upgraded to Adobe CC and noticed that I'm unable to 'Minimise' the window in InDesign and also noticed that it won't do it in Illustrator but Photoshop does minimise (ODD!)

    All it will do is when you double click it fills to fit screen and then the opposite.

    I have posted this onto the forum and others have mentioned that they are also experiencing this problem.

    (I have turned on the 'Double -click a windows title bar to minimize' in the System Preferences)

  19. Big Sur "Half Fold - Print Outside" Bug

    Printing from a Mac with OS Big Sur, Version 16.1 Indesign. Ricoh MP C3504ex with PostScript card.

    The printing option "Half Fold - Print Outside" will result in only 1 print no matter how many copies you choose.

    Example I want 15 copies of a church bulletin I apply the necessary settings and hit print. Instead of getting 15 I only get 1.

    Tested on High Sierra with Indesign V 13.1 and it works perfectly.

  20. Hyperlink window causing crash/lockup

    Hello,

    I'm working on a file from February 2020 that contains hyperlinks. Every time I click to use the Hyperlink window to edit/update urls my InDesign locks up. However, when I try this in a new file I created in December, I'm not having any issues with the hyperlinks window/tool.

    I'm using the latest version of InDesign CC (16.1).
    I open the file, click the Hyperlinks window and the program locks up to where I have to force quit.

    (Not sure if it matters - I'm adding this comment from my Mac, but I'm trying to do this work…
