Emptiing a text frame when making corrections
>>>Very often, when making corrections of the text, a text frame (not the one I am working on) is emptied and the text moves one page forward creating overflowed text. In most cases it happens on the next page, but sometimes it can be some other text frame -- forward or backward. I can't tell what is the reason of this behavior because it is different every time.

Crash in InCopy corrupts InDesign file
>>File crashed when writer and designer were making single story InCopy edits back and forth. They made single story edits with no problem, but then tried to export a selection of 12 stories (all on 1 page) by selecting all 12 stories and exporting selection. When the writer opened InCopy to edit the page, it crashed every time she scrolled to that page.

Color Profile Warnings when copying Objects and Text within the same Document
>>Mismatching color profile warnings are very helpful when copying objects between documents with different profiles, which is why this is an always-on option for me.
>>However, for some time now, such warnings seem to pop up randomly when I copy text between documents with the same profile settings, and sometimes even when copying text from one text box to another within the same document.
>>My understanding is that this is a bug, as live text in an INDD cannot have different profiles. Is there a way to avoid these warnings and still get them when

Pasting Chinese text from illustrator to Indesign changes the content of the text. Help!
>>I have text in Illustrator that are in Chinese, using 苹方-简 typeface. When I copy and paste the same text into Indesign, the text changes into new characters.
>>I know you need to expand the characters to use as vectors, but sometimes we need to change the text and go back and forth before finalizing. The question is why does it not do that for english text? I copy and paste between illustrator and indesign all the time, but this is the first time I've come across changing the text content completely.

InDesign crashes when trying to cut, and/or copy, a table from the paragraph level
>>Different versions of InDesign have this problem including 2023, 2024, and 2025 - on Mac Monteray.
>>If I attempt to highlight tables from the paragraph level and copy or cut, either with menus or key commands, InDesign will either immediately crash, or beach ball a bit and then crash.
>>Upon reopening InDesign, the menus will not appear. I have to use the keyboard commands to quit InDesign again. Upon reopening, it will work properly again... that is unless I attempt to copy or cut another table.
>>Please fix! I'm constantly working with complicated tables

Copy paste not working
>>>I was designing a book by copying the text from word and pasting in indesign it was working fine. But now when I am trying to paste it, it is not working. At first I thought it is the systems problem and I tried troubleshooting but still the problem persists. I am able to paste the copied text in other docs but it is not working in indesign. Please provide a solution as soon as possible.

[ID-4199810]Cross reference takes more space than its text
>>>A cross reference sometimes takes up more space than its actual text.
>>In the attached shows a frame with text with the right side of the text frame visible and the word "with" (above) extending well beyond the 2nd to last line in the frame. The "112" in the picture is a cross reference. When that cross reference is removed and "regular" text is typed in the 112 fits on the line.
>>Question first posted and confirmed by another here: >https://forums.adobe.com/message/10908454#10908454>.
>>This happens in CS6 and in CC2019, 14.0.1 x64.

Be able to anchor already created text box
>>Use Case Scenario: Create text box, use text box. Realize it'd be nice to anchor already created text box to another text box/object/???.
>
> Current workflow: copy text, delete text box, find anchor point, insert anchor point, adjust anchor point, create anchored text box, copy text box, further adjust text box.
> Desired workflow: right click on text box/text -> select "anchor to [text/object/???]", anchor to [text/object/???], adjust anchor point settings. No need to redo entire content.>Why can't this be done? It's always an option for non-text box content boxes/objects, correct? So why can't text box boxes
