2. Add scrolling feature to Publish Online

   I create decks for brands and companies, and we often need to use interactive elements like videos and gifs — so we need to publish them online.

   Because of smartphones, the design of most websites now, and the way people read PDFs in 'Reader', people expect to be able to scroll rather than clicking left and right.

   I'm having a lot of requests now to create documents in non-adobe programmes, like Readymag — purely because they offer scrolling.

   My contemporaries are having the same.

   I hope this would be a small fix for Adobe, because it would make a huuuuge difference.

8. External link to a specific point of a Publish Online document

   Can we get a way to link directly to a text anchor, hyperlink destination, page # etc from an external source?

   For example: I'd like to publish product documentation using Publish Online, and it would be nice to be able to link to a page or text anchor from a help document that would take someone to a specific point (i.e. a connection diagram).

9. Android Chrome - publish online incompatibility.

   Publish online is a great idea with a brilliant future and I love it. Hope Adobe will continue to update it although I am not so sure. Most major browsers on Safari Firefox Opera Chrome Mi on desktop or mobile Windows IOS and Android, look they r working fine. There are issues with Android Chrome which in some countries is a big issue. (browsing a published document with Android Chrome control bar next-previous buttons appear instantly and then disappear and can't bring them back, touch, zoom seem not to be working either and browsing freezes)

10. Nav bar in Publish Online interface

    Can Adobe give designers control over the Nav Bar and not keep messing with the Publish Online interface. They've recently made the Nav Bar thicker, which has now messed up all the web apps I've sold to clients

11. Merge Features of Share for Review into Publish Online

    Looking at all of the different feature request posted for "Share for Review" I feel it would almost be better to just merge the "Share for Review" features into the "Publish Online" since it already has many of the requested features like setting PDF quality, being able to select the number of pages, print as spreads, ect... The only thing it is missing is the ability to make it invite only and the commenting features. That way instead of two tools there is one. Maybe it has an option that when selected it adds the "Review Features" and if not selected it stays as a Publish Online document.

12. publish online full screen support on iPads

    Hi,
    i am using the great "Publish Online" feature on several documents.
    My docs are ok everywhere...

    Except full screen browsing :

    • working perfectly on desktop browsers, when clicked on the icon in the inferior bar.
    • working perfectly on iPhone (recent os) when switched in landscape mode.

    • not working on iPad (recent os, iPad 2, iPad Air and iPad Pro), none of the gesture will work, and none of the browsers neither…
    I've tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera.

    Impossible to obtain a full screen viewing, which is really required for a presentation. The upper bar will remain for ever.

13. Improvements to the publish online platform

    It would be interesting to improve the "Publish Online" platform, such as adding options to flip the pages of digital files in interactive pdf. Add visualization options by region in Analytics. Making it easier for the developer and users.
    And also add resources for ebooks.
    And also organization options. As creating folders, it would help a lot.

14. Enhancements in Publish Online

    Publish Online feature is quite good, but it'll be good if we have the below additional features:

    (1) Option to edit directly the contents and update the preview
    (2) Option to add the viewer comments like doing in PDF
    (3) Option to attach the files, usually will be as PDFs and TXT formats
    (4) Option to import the comments as mentioned in (2) into respective InDesign files
    (5) Option to adjust minor style elements

    Please let me know, if you need any clarifications on the above given details.

15. Scrollytelling! (InDesign Publish Online update request)

    It would be amazing if you added "scrollytelling" capabilities to Publish Online!

    Scrollytelling is the interactive, scrolling interactive online media that the NY Times and other sites use to craft stories in an engaging way. See Shorthand.com or Vev.design for examples. It seems like adding this functionality would bring life and added engagement to a piece of InDesign that I feel has been underserved for a while. How feasible is it to add Scrollytelling? Let's make it happen!

16. Download HTML master from Publish Online

    It would be nice to have the possibility to give sort of a HTML "master" with all the animations, buttons, interativities, etc. as can be seen in the uploaded document. That way, this master could be storaged where the client wants: own server, own PC, historical arquive in their web or wherever they would like.
    Also, it makes it easier in case the designer/agency using Publish Online breaks parts with the client, breaks parts with Adobe, ends activity for good or any similar situation. And I'm pretty sure it would also be cool for Adobe to not have all that occupying space in their servers forever (even if they eventually start charging for that, in which case being able to download the content as it's seen would be needed as paying any plus should be an option and not an obligation)
    I know some plugins offer this option (WebPublication for instance) but I think this must be included as an InDesign Publish Online own feature as these plugins charge unfair amounts, taking advantage of the fact that the option is not offered.

17. Publish Online - repeated issues and lack of certainty with platform

    Don't know if this is the right place, but Publish Online service is variable. Continued messing with the interface and uncertainty about what Adobe's going to do next means that I now will have to purchase Ajar In5 and also rent some server space to put my docs on because of the problems I've had with Publish Online interface and also comments from some of Adobe Community forum members that say it's foolhardy to rely on Adobe to continue supporting Publish Online because it's 'free'.
    Unfortunately, this means that rather than having Illustrator and Photoshop under my subscription, these will have to be dropped to save money, which I can then spend on In5 and server space. A great pity because I would have preferred the simplicity of using just adobe's online doc service - even if there was a charge - don't really want any more complexity because I'm running a business, time's money!

    Don't know if this is the right place, but Publish Online service is variable. 18. Sharable Publish Online Dashboard

    I would like multiple users to be able to update on a single dashboard. We like the idea of being able to update an existing link instead of replacing it which can be a lot more work. Currently, if we link a published file to our website and only one person can update it that's a problem, for obvious reasons. The single file might be linked in multiple places and turn into a tedious workload.

    I'm wishing for an upgrade for InDesign to do this and make this tool even more powerful, it will be awesome!!

19. Transparency is too fragile in Publish Online

    I created some text overlays (saying "PROOF") as objects with no background fill, then set the objects to 30% transparency.

    On publishing online, InDesign fills them with white, and some of the time also fails to produce the text.

20. Remove the menu bar from Publish Online when in full screen mode and make sure any remote clicker device can be used to present.

    Several users in our practice would like to present animated InDesign presentations using Publish Online.
    However nobody likes the menu bar appearing across the bottom of the screen, it's very distracting for anyone presenting onscreen.
    Also, most people presenting onscreen would use a remote clicker to move through the slides, as you would in a PowerPoint presentation. However the remote clicker does not work with Publish Online. I would say that I could move our entire practice, with over 1,000 users over to Publish Online from PowerPoint if these two major factors were addressed. It's a shame because they are currently losing interest and reverting back to PowerPoint. This is very disappointing for me as an in-house Adobe trainer. Our users love InDesign and really wanted to get going with the animation and Publish Online, but these two issues are major problems for presenters all over the world.
