Problem copying font from Acrobat Pro DC PDF (to Word and Indesign)
[Adobe Indesign 2021 - 16.3 / Suitcase Fusion 21.3.0]
Since the last update, I am unable to copy/paste from a PDF in Acrobat the accented characters of the French dictionary (ô, é, è, ç, à) to Word or Indesign, whatever the font is (Adobe font or personal font).
The glyph disappear when pasted.
The glyphs exists in the dictionary when looking at the panel in Indesign.

We received an escalation from our client that sorting on the index entries generated from InDesign is not matching with MS-Word sorting. Attached the marking received from client for your quick reference, please confirm whether we can consider this as Bug and can be fixed in the upcoming versions?

Keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Right Arrow / Left Arrow in tables
InDesign version 14.0.
The keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Right Arrow" to move one word to the right does not work when the text cursor is in a table. Same for "Ctrl+Left Arrow", to move one word to the left.

Text originated from MS Word yields problematic results when exported to HTML (excessive <span> statements)
I’ve stumbled upon a bug evident in text originated from MS-Word, which affects the HTML structure when exported from InDesign. Originally I encountered it with Hebrew text in heavily-style-driven paragraphs, however I re-created it in a completely “clean” style environment as well:
(1) Create a new file in MS-Word. Type some text into it (as “Lorem Ipsum”).
(2) Copy the text and Paste into InDesign.
(3) Reset the Paragraph Style; then apply a Character style to the text (it could be a Character style with no attributes).
(4) Paste the same text into Notepad, then Copy…

Dictionary: Added words using context-menu are only in lowercase, but should be with uppercase letter
ID 17.1
Language: German
Using User-dictionaryIf I'll add a word from text (wich contains an uppercase letter at first position) to the user-dictionary using context-menu (right click on mouse), I get the option to add. After this, the word is added, but only in lowercase, although the checkbox "upper/lowercase active" is enabled.
Workaround: Adding the word with uppercase letter by using the menu-bar: "Bearbeiten -> Rechtschreibprüfung -> Benutzerwörterbuch" inserts the word in uppercase.
Please have a look and change it.2 votes -
Adding a word starting with the Danish letter æ makes InDesign crash
Add a word starting with the Danish letter æ to an index invariably crashes InDesign, both the small æ and the capital Æ, no matter which method we use. Words where this letter is not placed at the beginning, like “bæverfælde", are no problem, nor are the two other Danish characters ø and å.
We also tried to add the words from a list, using a script which places index markers on every instance in the document; this did not make InDesign crash, but no entries were added either :-(

Words in placed document become bold after certain characters
When we place text from a Word file, we always strip it of all existing layout. But for some reason there are some weird unicode characters that cause Indesign to make certain words bold... I'm not able to figure out why... you have a French text where a word starts with a e with an accent like ê and that word is suddely bold... even though in the Word file it isn't.
This also happens with Italics... I once had a text that used transliteration for Ancient Egyptian that is in italic and often starts with a "Ankh" symbol:…

Dynamic spelling doesn't find repeated word with initial capital letter
It became apparent yesterday, unfortunately after a brochure had been printed, that InDesign doesn't flag repeated words when one of them starts with a capital letter and, in this case the company has ended up paying for a reprint. Although several people had proof checked the brochure, nobody had noticed and I only had time to view with dynamic spelling, rather than reading the whole thing. Is this a feature for some reason? Personally I'd rather it be flagged with or without caps and be able to make a judgement myself if time is short.

Embedded graphics from Word-doc have comma-extension instead of dot-extension in Links-list
On a Mac: when I place a Word-file with embedded graphics, they all appear in the links panel as embedded graphics. But they have a file extension with a comma. So image, jpg instead of image.jpg. The same goes for other extensions. When you need to unembed them in order to improve the image, the comma is preventing my computer from opening the file. When I change it to a dot, then I can open the image. But then InDesign has lost track of the image and I need to re-link it.
Iit doesn't occur when I change InDesign…1 vote -
Right to Left direction select opposite direction
When we want to select a character or word by using cursor key in Arabic text, it select the opposite direction, i.e. Ctrl + Left arrow key, Shift + Left arrow key, Ctrl + Shift + Left arrow key, or Ctrl + Shift + Left arrow key, will select a character or word on the right of cursor, even if already set to "Visual" in preference for cursor movement.

"View PDF after exporting" previously opened acrobat, now my computer switches between opening Illustrator, Mircosoft Word, rarely Acrobat
I've set my computer to use Acrobat as default, yet perhaps you could add an Application of choice to use when view exported PDF.
Not sure if it's just a bug, but any fix would be welcome. Thank you!

Khmer Script Punctuation Line Breaking Is Broken
Regression Bug (used to work in InDesign CS 5.5)
Adobe InDesign CC 15.03 currently will break lines between Khmer script and its punctuation even though no space is present (Khmer Unicode Punctuation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khmer_script#Spacing_and_punctuation ) as pictured in the attachment.
Desired Result: Khmer punctuation should stay with the Khmer script preceding it (just like an English period, comma, question mark, etc. does). The whole word should line break with the punctuation (currently Khmer uses zero-width spaces [U+200B] to indicate a word-boundary).

spell check in tables
See attached document.
The mis-spelled word "tiime" is addressed correctly in column 1 rows 1 and 2.
The mis-spelled word "paarty" is addressed correctly in column 2, line 1.
The mis-spelled word "partu" is is underlined correctly in column 2, line 2, but right-clicking on the word does not bring up spelling correction options.
"partu" will, however, be treated correctly using Edit -- Spelling -- Check Spelling... .2 votesHi
Please can you send a sample document with which the issue is reproducible? Thanks

Logical error: searching words in selected text with Find/Change unselects text
When using the Find/Change dialog to find text, there is an option to only search in a "Selection" of text. When the word is found, Indesign will mark that word, which would also unselect the text and no further search in the selection could be done. This is a logical bug.
