In the latest update 15.1 - text and graphics of previous files display pixelated
>>I ran the latest 15.1 update to InDesign. I opened several existing file all with text and graphics (images and placed EPS files). In each file, either the text appears aliased and the graphics look ok, OR the graphics display pixelated and poo quality but the text renders correctly. Changing the "display performance" slider make no difference.
>>I opened a brand new document and typed in some text and imported a graphic and all displays correctly. But if i create a new file and copy and paste text and graphics from one of my previous files that does

Crash on save, all work lost
>>>Version 16.0.1 x64
>
> Working on an existing document. Nothing out the the norm. Just basic single-user InDesign. Upon save, it said the "document needed to be repaired and some unsaved changes might be lost". Well it lost everything and I lost 2 hours of work. I think InDesign is becoming like the old Quark XPress where you had to hit Ctrl-S like a rabid monkey to save your work from loss.>The other thing is lately InDesign crashes on startup.

Pasting Word tracked changes text keeps the old text as well as changes
>>>When 'Text Only' is selected in Preferences/Clipboard Handling, pasting from a Word doc that has tracked changes results in the old edits (such as deletions) being retained in the pasted text in InDesign.
>>If this isn't a bug, perhaps there's a way to make these ramifications more obvious to the user.

Endnotes are out of sequence in captions and sidebars
>>>I work on books that often have endnotes in captions or sidebars. The captions/sidebars are always set up as separate frames (and sometimes as anchored objects). Any endnotes in separate frames end up at the end of the endnote list, regardless of where they fall in the page order.

Can't type letter "n" in text boxes
>>>For some reason I can't type the letter "n" in text boxes in indesign v 17.3 on Windows 10.
>>In some text boxes, typing "n" does not generate the letter. In tables, typing "n" can sometimes change the cell style or paragraph style, and does not generate the letter.
>>I don't have caps lock or a stuck control / alt key ... Everything else is working fine.

Import Word file - cannot set 'Import as Static Text' as Default Preset
>>When I import a Word document I want the option 'Import as Static Text' ticked all the time.
>>The problem is that if I tick 'Import as Static Text' and make it a new Default Preset, InDesign remembers this until I quit InDesign and then relaunch it. The relaunched InDesign doesn't remember it - it remembers the Preset name, but it doesn't remember to tick 'Import as Static Text'.
>>This happens in CC2019 and CC2020. Could you please fix it so that the Preset you make remembers to keep 'Import as Static Text' ticked all the time,

InDesign CC2019 - faux bold text issue when exporting pdf.
>>Only the pages with text+jpg are exported properly.
>
> The pages with any other image type with some transparency, i.e. psd, ai, even png, have bold text after exporting to pdf.>It's an old issue, coming back every now and then in many InDesign editions in the past. So we all should know how to deal with it, shouldn't we? Well, here is the rub. The trick with the text placed on a separate layer on the top doesn't work anymore. Nothing works, actually. It's a major bug. A reason to downgrade to the last correct version. I

Bug with world ready composer when use space like thin en or em space in Thai language. And bug in text wrapping in 2020 version.
>>After updated to 2020 version that added support to Asian languages (include Thai), it look like Indesign force user (in my case Thai) to set language in Advanced Character Formats to Thai. After set the language Indesign also require me to use World-Ready Composer to set all tone marks in place.
…
> .
> Before the latest version, I always avoid to use World-Ready Composer because it combines a word to single object, not just locks tone mark and float vowel to character in the right position. By which it impossible to navigate with text tool to the position6 votesThe fix for this issue is now available in the latest update of InDesign – that is, InDesign 15.0.2.
Please update your InDesign application to get this fix.

Paste in place behaves erratically for Word document import
>>I have a layout created from Placing a Word document with some vector graphics frames (originally pasted from Excel as a WMF) and text/table frames. These graphics need to be replaced with updated versions each month.
>>If I Place a new Word file into a temporary document then try to copy and paste new graphics one-by-one into the older version of the document, it looks like the graphics are updated if I stay on "medium quality" display setting. However if I change to "high quality", the graphics revert to previous versions.

Unable to apply multiple character styles after last update
>>I used to be able to select a piece of text, then open the Character Styles panel and select multiple character styles using the control key. I can successfully click. However, the styles selected are not retained. Only the first style I had selected is still applied. This is a huge bug affecting my impending book publishing.
>>I even cross confirmed it with two simple character styles - one [embolden] and one [italica] (aka bold and italic) expecting to be able to select both.
>>This DID work around October 2017 - we just did not notice that
