ID crashes inserting a symbol as index reference.
>>>ID crashes inserting a symbol as index reference.
>>Not a new problem by the looks of it.
>
> It doesn't matter whether I type a reference, copy and paste it or highlight text and use shortcut keys. ID always crashes if a symbol is the first thing in the index reference.>however, if 'Sort by' is used and that doesn't start with a symbol it is okay. But this is only 'useful' when that is relevant, which is not always.

Crash on pdf export
>>>We do a lot of sometimes large presentations in Indesign that have other external Indesign documents in them, that pdf fine, yet when I add pages to them it crashes when I export and there's nothing I can do to fix it other than removing the pages I've added.

Images pixelated when published online, if the frame is scaled
>>>Images inside scaled frames can be pixelated when published. It looks like the frame scaling is applied to the resolution i.e. a 10% scaled frame will have 10% of the desired resolution. Reproducible if 'Adjust scaling percentage' preference is set. Setting a higher export resolution in the 'Publish Online' dialogue doesn't fix it.
>>InDesign CC 2018, probably older versions with Publish online.

Layout options for multiple records from data merge
>>>I have recently discovered Data Merge and it works great for most things. However I need to output multiple records per page set out head-to-head. This is so the output can be printed and folder in half with the text on both side the right way up. More detailed controls would be big help.

Alignment of text box ignores anchored objects
>>When I have an anchored object (lets say an image) hanging at the bottom of the text box, aligning the text to the bottom of the text box will align the text only, and cuts off the image at the bottom.
…
> I imagine this also happens to images at the top of the text box, when aligning to the top.
> I think that by design, anchired objects should be calculated as part of the text box's content, and should be aligned to the bottom, as text would.
> If not, it should at least be an option1 vote -

InDesign CC2023 forces paragraph in overset
>>Since the update to InDesign v18.0 (CC2023) the first line of a Paragraph with custom Bullet (Numbering) text, gets forced in overset when the first word is longer than 8-9 characters. They don't flow to the next paragraph and there is still enough space to keep the word in the Text Frame.
…
> In the example you'll see two Text Frames with one with the word "Duurzaamheid" cut in two and the second in overset with no space between "Duur" and "zaamheid" wich forces everything in overset. InCopy: Notes in text shifting randomly when exported as PDF.
>>>InCopy version 18 and 19.
>>To recreate the issue : add a note to any point of a text paragraph in InCopy and export the document as PDF. This results in the note (yellow sticky note) shifting randomly within the PDF document.
>>What should happen is that the yellow sticky note should be in the area of where the note was initially anchored in InCopy, after you export it as PDF.

Honor Word Break Boundaries for Overflowing Text / Line Breaking for Non-ZWSP Text
>>>Lao (SEA Asian) text that doesn't already have ZWSPs included, doesn't automatically line-break, even though double-select word selection shows that the ICU/HarfBuzz engine is finding them. It would be nice to be able to set for paragraphs the ability to use non-ZWSP text and have ID automatically line-break based on the ICU/HarfBuzz word boundaries.
>>Not all people will want this, should it should be made easy to enabled/disable, because some people use ZWSPs to manually control layout features, and don't prefer automatic word-boundary analysis.

This is due to the bug fix of the issue: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180/suggestions/32251567
Text composition will now change whenever you open an older file with text wrap applied alongside text with bulletsThanks

QR generated by text variable
>>>Would be great if you could generate a QR Code from a text variable. Just for automation purposes. For instance on datasheets or brochures, where a single URL is used throughout in text, but also as a QR code on the last page.
