Switch primary text frame's Text Frame Options for multiple pages
>>>Switch primary text frame's Text Frame Options for multiple pages. See this item on forum: >https://forums.adobe.com/message/11180092#11180092>. Using 14.0.2 x64. You can't use applying a new Master Page to switch Balance Columns off and on on a Primary Text Frame, though you can use it to change number of columns. Thank you for your attention to this likely bug.

Text variables consistently break export to fixed epub, resulting in crash.
>>>When there are multiple text variables (say in a running foot, or TOC) the export to fixed epub causes InDesign to crash. When the variables are resolved to actual text, the export works fine. I tried this in InDesign 14.0.2 and also in the Beta Build (14.0.3.407) with the same (crash) result.

InDesign crashes when highlighting open Acrobat comment text
>>This is a wild one that has happened multiple times now. InDesign will crash on my machine in the following specific circumstance:
…
> 1) I have a text box selected in a file that I want to copy text into,
> 2) I navigate to an ultimately unconnected PDF in Acrobat that has text I want to copy from,
> 3) the PDF has an open comment box with currently highlighted text,
> 4) I try to highlight other text within the comment box in order to copy that instead,
> 5) and InDesign crashes hard (closes completely).3 votesTo identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

Auto-sizing text frames not working
>>>When I try to auto-size a text box in "Text Frame Options," nothing happens. I generally click on the text box, open the text frame options panel with command-B and click on the auto-size tab. Once inside that panel, I attempt to auto-size. Nothing is grayed out so it appears as if it would work, but when I click on "width only" (or any other option), nothing happens and it just stays on the original selection. And I can't seem to find a work around either.

Text frames in Object Libraries won't retain style settings
>>Version: InDesign, version 16.4 on Mac OS Big Sur, version 11.6
>>I am encountering an issue involving text frames that do not retain their object style settings when inserted and/or saved within object libraries. Font/paragraph styles are unaffected, but object style attributes such as vertical justification, text wrap, fill, stroke and inset spacing are all lost (revert to defaults) upon being added to the library. The same is true for settings made while editing the library items directly.
>>This problem only involves individual text frames, and does not seem to affect any other type of graphic added
…1 voteAfter setting the desired properties for the Text Frame, select the text frame object and in the CC Libraries panel, click on the ‘+’ icon at the bottom of the panel – here you will see various options like Fill color, Text, Character style, Paragraph style, and Graphic.
You can also choose to Add all.
Choosing ‘Add all’ will add separate items in the CC Libraries – you will find Fill color, Text, any Char/Para style, and a Graphic. Use any of these according to your needs.Hope it helps.

Multiple copy paste functions
>>I have been using the Indesign program for a long time. He has made very good progress. This is what I expect from you. We can only paste one copy with the copy paste command. It would be great if it could copy multiple texts separately. For example, when copy-pasting 3 or 5 different texts, you need to do each one by one. It would be much more practical if we could copy them all and name them like copy 1 copy 2 copy 3 and paste 1 paste 2 paste 3 options while pasting. I wish you

Auto-Size Frames create Overset Text when scaled or embedded
>>Indd 2022 (German), v 17.4.2.77
>>A recurring Bug: when auto-size text frames are embedded into each other and then placed from CC Libraries into a document and/or the included paragraph styles are updated, the frame collapses and creates overset Text.
>>Similarily, the frames sometimes expland to ridiculous sizes. Usually, this can be "fixed" by typing in a new character and then deleting it, causing the frame to reevaluate its size. However it severely impacts the usability of our standard assets.
>>Another issue: if a text frame is set to "auto-size" and there are borders set within

Based-on Master Pages don't inherit Primary Text Frame
>>When we create new documents with facing pages and Primary Text Frames on, new master pages are then created based on that original master page.
>>I would expect them to inherit the same threading and Primary Text Frame designation as the original, but they don't. Only the text frame on the right hand master page is designated as part of the primary text flow, and the frames are no longer threaded. Designers have to check every based-on master, re-designate the primary text flow, and re-thread the frames.
