  1. Broken layout in review panel

    Using InDesign 16.4 - Windows 10 21H1 19043.1237

    The layout of the review panel is broken, apparently since the 16.4 update.

    Clicking on a note sends all the content on the edge of the panel, hiding most of it (as shown on the attached image).

    Changing the size of the panel (even slightly) puts everything back in place, but clicking again on a note breaks everything again. And so on.

  2. Darstellungsfehler in der neuen Review-Funktion

    Problem: Platzierung einer (sehr einfachen) nativen Illustrator-Grafik mit einigen Deckkraftmasken funktioniert in InDesign prima, aber in der Review-Darstellung sind plötzlich Elemente halbtransparent zu sehen, die ganz bzw. gar nicht dort sein dürften. Offenbar ist diese Voransicht deutlich weniger präzise als ein erzeugtes PDF ... ?!?

  3. "Share for Review" lost for documents accessed via UNC paths

    Indesign 16.2.1 won't maintain the link between the indesign document (on a server) and the "Shared for Review" online file if the Indesign document was opened via a UNC path when you make the "share for review" link.

  4. Share for review automatically loads when opening a file

    I have am using version 16.4. Every time that I open a file, a Share for Review pops up on the screen. I have NEVER shared an InDesign document for review with this feature. Even if I click it away, as soon as I open another document (2 files now open), the Share for Review pops up again. How do I stop this from loading every single time? I just want to get to my documents without any slow down, and am frustrated that I can't find anything in any of the menus to turn this off.

  5. Share for Review – Filename for the reviewer

    I am loving this relatively new feature, but struggling to get full buy in from my reviewers because the filename displayed in their email notification is an Adobe generated random name and not the name of the actually file you are sharing. How can you make sure that the review filename is the same as the name of the actual Indesign document?

    The attached is an example of 3 such emails.

    I don't understand why the filename is not replicated.

  6. Share for Review Bugs

    We recently piloted using the "Share for Review" feature and have encountered a number of issues. Any help to solve these issues would all me to use this feature.
    -Login - a number of our pilot users had to log in twice in order to open the link (organizational accounts - one on firefox, one on chrome). Does anyone else see this issue? Are there any solutions?
    -Comments seem to be organized by page by time comment was posted. This not like Adobe Acrobat which organizes comments by page by location on page the edit/comment exists (I believe it…

  7. When I share to review, weird things happen

    I have InDesign 15.1.1 and I've been using the new Share to Review feature often. I've noticed that my text and tables would completely disappear on random pages and the Table of Contents became messed up as well. To make the text reappear, I had to adjust the size of the frame by a pixel or two then it would return. It didn't matter if I made the frame bigger or smaller.

  8. share for review comments are unmapped

    my editors are able to add comments to a share for review pdf in a browser without choosing a tool. they highlight text and add a comment, click submit, and the comments come up as unmapped. i'm on InDesign 17.4.

    i was able to replicate this problem myself by opening the share for review pdf in my browser (both chrome and safari) and adding comments without selecting a tool. there should be a bubble tool or something for general comments. as is, users believe they are leaving comments on specific words.

  9. Share for Review - Scroll bars in Safari are invisible

    InDesign 17.0.1
    Safari Version 15.1
    Mac OS 10.15.7
    iMac Retina 5k 27in 2017

    When viewing shared review files in Safari, there are no visible scroll bars. This is present in every file I share for review. Scroll bars are enabled.

  10. Share for Review access settings - Public Link not available

    I am trying to use the new Share for Review option. As outlined here, I should be able to switch the access options from invitation only to public which should give me the option to have people without an Adobe account review the content by simply inputting a password for access. However, I cannot switch from invitation only to public as I simply have the invitation only option as a fixed option and no dropdown to choose from. Is there an option somewhere that I need to enable first so I can publicly share these files for review? As…

  11. Share for Review broken in Chrome for Reviewers InDesign 16.1

    InDesign 16.1
    MacOS BigSur M1 Chip

    share for review worked for me in Chrome from my own account, but when I shared it with another user, the link did not allow them to open the review in their version of Chrome. Firefox and Safari worked fine.

  12. Share for Review is showing files in low res very blurry

    I'm using PSD files linked in my InDesign, they look blurry like low res even the fonts used in the PSD https://assets.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:4e60c8e1-8ba1-46f0-af66-23ef2b71ac21?view=published

    Is there any option to share for review low res or high res please let us know, but I don't remember this happening to me before, they were shared always clear.

  13. Share for review is not working properly

    I've seen other people comment on this, and have had this crash several times in several different docs, but the Share for Review tool in InDesign is basically broken on a regular basis. Update content constantly just gives me a spinning wheel. The image quality is extremely lo res when reviewing (which was "resolved" by an Adobe team member saying "it would slow down load speed" which in this day in age is frankly absurd. Fix your "Share for Review" feature, I've almost lost two clients to it who thought we sent them garbage and who also needed…

  14. Review is good start but needs a lot of work

    Intermittent issue with review panel appearing blank, needs restart to refresh it.

    Document and panel comments jump around making it painful to use in a long document. Panel seems to constantly refresh which appears to be causing the issue? Today can't see any comments or update from my side (see screenshot)

    It would be nice to have comments panel work as the pdf review

  15. It takes forever to update the link for review.

    When I go the Share for Review menu and try to update the link, it starts to "think" and nothing else happens. It lasts for more than 10 minutes and I just give up. Indesign version 16.1

  16. Share For Review, only getting shape tool and pin tool.

    In share for review, I only see the pin tool and the shape tool. All of the other reviewing tools that I should be seeing are missing. They appear briefly and then disappear.

    If the Share for Review was created using the previous version of InDesign – InDesign 2020 (v 15.1/v15.1.1/v15.1.2), then only 2 Tools are visible in the browser – Pin and Draw.

    The new Text Tools in Share for Review – Highlight, Strikethrough, and Replace are available ONLY if :
    1) Share for Review is initiated from InDesign 2021.
    2) Opening a document that was created in an earlier version and initiating Share for Review from InDesign 2021.
    3) For Share for Review created from InDesign 2020 (v 15.1/v15.1.1/v15.1.2), you click on the Update Link button in the Share for Review panel in InDesign 2021. (You may have to hit the Refresh button in the browser if the Review was already open there).

  17. Share for Review Comments Sign In Bug

    My idea is to let people comment on Share for Review for Indesign even if they don't have an Apple, Google, or Facebook account. Not sure why Adobe wouldn't allow people to enter their email as a guest to make comments? Makes no sense to me.

    As a ‘Reviewer’, you do not need to have Apple/Google/Facebook account. You can Review as a Guest.

    The ‘Designer’, when he creates and sends the link to you (the Reviewer), has to create a ‘Public Link’ in InDesign. When you as the reviewer open that Public Link, you can Review and Comment as a ‘Guest’.

    Hope it helps and you will be able to use Share for Review feature and find it useful.

  18. Share for review annotations not showing up in InDesign

    In using the new Share for Review this morning from today's update to v15.1 we did a test document that included some drawing annotations. The comments showed up as expected in InDesign but not the drawing annotations. I have tried toggling on and off the eye in the review panel and nothing happens like it does in the web browser.

  20. Share for review Icon is hiding content.

    The share for review icon is hiding my text in InDesign.

    Often I get text updated and users place the icon on top of the words.
    When I want to update the text, it is very difficult to see the text to update as the icon is placed right on top. Would be nice if I could move the icon a little.
