InDesign 2019 Fails to open properly and freezes.

I recently updated to InDesign 2019 and had no problem using it last week.
Today it is not opening properly, taking around 10 minutes to open a file, then freezes the second I try to do anything in a text box.

It has occurred with every file I've tried, multiple times.
I have also tried ending all InDesign processes and restarting my computer.

Not sure if anyone else has come across this issue?

I'm on InDesign 14.0.1.209 - starts to open then hangs. I've reinstalled several times. Even reinstalled Creative Cloud several times.

I'm having nonstop issues with InDesign CC 2019. I have been rarely able to get it to open, and often it just sits and spins. Then I can't force quit it. It'll look like it's not operating, but it won't respond when I try to reopen it and Finder thinks it's already still open. I've had it crash repeatedly today and have restarted my computer many times just in hopes that I can get some work done, but then it freezes up when trying to open another document.

This is absolutely ridiculous! Last week while using the trial InDesign app it worked great! I signed up for it, etc. and this week it does not open! Just sits and spools. I have uninstalled and reinstalled; checked for updates, etc. and still nothing. I am going to cancel.

I am experiencing the same issues. I have updated and Uninstalled and then reinstalled the program without improvement. Mac OS Mojave. Judging from the comments posted on this page, the issue is clearly not fixed.

Hi there, Indesign 2019 (latest update) is still crashing on Windows 10. Causing so many issues and ruining workflow. Constantly keep having to convert huge files down to earlier versions which takes 5-10 minutes each time. Then it gets edited on a Mac with a newer version then I have to convert again. Adobe there is no excuse for this - please fix it.

Still crashing and freezing when I open a random document. This can't be happening with a subscription-based service like yours Mr. Adobe. Please fix this, a lot of people have strict deadlines like ourselves!

This issue is still happening as of today. I just updated to the latest version and having problems opening, editing, and saving files. Indesign will stop responding, and repeats the same issue after restarting or force quitting and reopening the application. This is an absurd issue for such an expensive subscription.

In a situation of emergency to meet a deadline I downloaded 2017 to finish a project and it seems to be working for now. Hopefully this is resolved soon.

Within the past week I've been unable to open InDesign files in 2019. But since I was still able to use 2018, I carried on doing so. Now I can't open InDesign files in 2018 or 2019. I've tried uninstalling 2019 hoping that it would help, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Crashing repeatedly even though I have the most updated version. ID worked properly 4 days ago. I've not done anything different. HELP. I can't use ID at all and need to.

Problem presists. For me when I try to open older documents with lots of fonts. I am using the Suitcase Fusion font manager on Windows 10. I guess here lies the issue

Still have the issue after updating to latest version. Freezes when selecting multiple text boxes then text tool. So frustrating to have to select one text box at a time.

Exactly the same problem as everyone else here. Holy cow this is frustrating.
