  1. "Publish Online" change viewer language

The default language for the viewer is English and can only be changed from the viewer. As our clients are germans, it would be very helpful to set the language to German (or any other language) while publishing online.

  2. Publish Online - Shared Access

For companies, it would be very beneficial to see all online published documents from everyone in the organization. This would help to still maintain one external link to open the published files, but in the case of employee(s) leaving the company, the file can still be updated.

As of now, it is not possible to see or update links/documents that other people published online.

Please rework, much needed feature. Please upvote!!!

  3. Have a trash can function in Publish Online

If documents are accidentally deleted from Publish Online, they are gone forever, which if done in error, can cause a huge problem. It would be so helpful if deleted documents could be placed in a trash can, even if for only a week or so, to take away the risk of accidental deletion. Thanks

  4. Publish Online should include a print option + spreads with Two-Up Continuous (Cover Page)

Published Online files should include a print option that sizes a page to a printable option. Currently if I upload our publication (a coupon book) to Publish Online and we try to print the page shown on the screen it crops most of the page regardless of the browser used. You can shrink your window and sort of get the desired result, but we don't think most of our readers will know how to do this. Also it would be nice to be able to select a page range of what to print. I know you can include a…

  5. Make Publish Online Autoplay and Loop

I am preparing a presentation for a museum. I already have it set up in InDesign, and have shared it to stakeholders via Publish Online. However, it needs to run on a loop and flip slides automatically – because of COVID, viewers can't touch the screen. Adding a feature to time each slides's appearance and set to infinite looping would solve this, and avoid me having to recreate it as a video – similar to exporting an interactive PDF. Thanks!

  6. Publish Online one and two pages in the same document

When I Publish Online a document, I want to see 1 page of my published Indesign document while my device is in vertical condition and 2 pages while I have it in horizontal state.

    Thanks.

  7. Publish Online

Option for making navigation button NOT ANIMATED, maybe even larger. I recently had a huge project rejected because client did not know how to navigate and assumed others would have the same problem. (URL to project was embedded in button in email campaign--works great!)

  8. Predetermine Adobe .pdf settings for Publish Online Documents

I post interactive documents in a double page spread with Publish Online, but when it is downloaded, all the interactivity is stripped out and it downloads as single pages. What is the point of posting an interactive document in a spread format if you can't download it, as an interactive document in spread format!

I would like to be able to predetermine the .pdf download options before publishing online ie double page spread with (cover page) and choose the interactive elements to be included. That way when they press download .pdf it is downloaded with all the interactivity…

  9. Include Spread Rotation in PDF Export and Publish Online

When exporting/publishing as spreads, allow us to "include spread rotation" and display those properly in the online viewer and PDF export.

I have a calendar layout with most of the spreads rotated for proper viewing. I've always exported as spreads and rotated manually in Acrobat for the client but I can't do that when publishing online.

A simple version of this would apply only when exporting spreads ie: where the result of 2 8x10 pages is a single 16x20 page which is then rotated per the ID view settings.

A truly complete solution would need Acrobat/Reader…

  10. extend publish online to live outside Adobe servers

would be great if publish feature allowed the same presentation to be hosted on another site (Company X,Y,Z internal network) but keep all formatting the way it is

  11. Publish Online: comment mode

It should be possible to comment on specific parts of the page. Like in www.invisionapp.com So it could be possible to discuss an artwork with my client. Like I'm doing with PDF-comments at the moment. But in this case I could reply and discuss more. (show more than one versions of one page would be excellent!)

  12. Publish Online & Right-Click

I frequently use the feature in InDesign that allows direct online export. However, as an artist and creator, I find it inappropriate that anyone can easily right-click on the artwork and save it as an image. For example, Google Drive doesn't allow viewers to do that. Can InDesign implement a similar restriction?

Password protection isn't good enough; sometimes it doesn't work, and we need to make editors' lives easier. I want full control over my images and don't want anyone to save my images to their desktop so easily. It's true that many images are online, but not all…

  13. Publish Online iPhone view Disappear the URL Search Bar

When we publish a document online, the chances are it will be 16:9 or a double page spread. Many client may wish to view this on a device such as iPad or iPhone.

We have found that when we try to do this and turn the device (iPhone, Safari) to landscape mode, the URL search field bar can appear and NOT disappear again. This takes a lot of screen space and ruins the effect and view of the page.

Is there a solution to this?

  14. InDesign Publish Online Available Offline

Would it be possible to create a PublishOnline PDF that supported all the features and functionality of a PublishOnline document but without browser restrictions.

Currently we love the PublishOnline and use it for professional client work but it is limited due to cross browser compatibility issues and limitations.

  15. Reinstate the Publish Online button in the top bar please!

This shortcut button to the Publish Online function was one of my most frequently used, and for some strange reason, in the latest version 18.5, it has been removed.
I can't see any reason why it can't remain where it was, very conveniently situated in the top bar beside the Share button.
The new option slows down what was one of my most frequently used functions... I do hope this isn't just 'change for change's sake'??
Anyone else find this change unecessary and annoying?

  16. Fix Javascript errors on all Publish Online documents

Every single Publish Online document throws a Javascript error. The error code seems to be the same for every document. The below was taken from 'Five Days from Nowhere', an Adobe example document used on the Publish Online documentation. The issue is that this Javascript error makes it impossible to add any custom Javascript as any subsequent code will not execute when the document is embedded in a different environment. This is a big issue for example for implementing Google Analytics Tracking codes into iframes.

  18. Publish Online Download Counter

Please add a download counter for how many times your published document is downloaded to the Publications Analytics. This would be so useful as part of counting metrics of user engagement!

  19. GDPR regulations demand that data collections turned of on the Publish Online feature for my client upload to their website.

Even though Adobe claims to be up-to-date with GDPR regulations, I need to know how to turn all data collections off in InDesigns "Publish Online" feature, for my client to actually use the asset that was created for them. With the new GDPR regulations, they can not publish anything online that collects any kind of data.

Please explain how I do this?

  20. Undo Delete or "Trash Folder" in Online Published Dashboard

We were so happy to find adobe online publishing so that in these times we can reach our customers digitally. But i am sad to see that the options and features are very limited. Today it happened that i accidentally deleted a published document, that was also sent to my 6000 customers per newsletter. After a very long chat with CS, i was told to write here. Nothing can be done, i cant reactived to undo my deleted document.
