text box resizing causes document to shift in window
>>>I have an issue now that has never come up before I updated to 20.5.1. When I try to resize a text box or image box, the document shifts down and the content box is shifted up. The video shows it better. I then discovered that if I create a new text box, delete it, then create another new text box and delete that one, the issue goes away. I closed and re-opened the document, and the issue was still gone. Have not had it happen enough to know if it will recur at a later time.

Allow InDesign to retain local formatting when updating linked text files.
>>>When using linked text files in InDesign, any local formatting changes made directly in InDesign (such as font size, color, bold/italic, etc.) are lost when the external text file is updated. This is a significant limitation for designers who need to maintain complex formatting in layouts. Please add an option to retain local formatting when linked text files are updated.
>>Suggestion:

> “Preserve Local Formatting” in the Links panel or File Handling preferences.1 vote -
graphic frame corners not rounding in publish online document
>>operating system: Catalina (latest update 10.15.5)
>
> Have generated online published file in both 2019 and 2020 Indesign> To obtain evenly rounded corners on tables in my document I copied the table into a graphic frame and then rounded the corners of the frame. This renders fine when I create a pdf but for some reason when I generate an online publication from indesign one side of the graphic frame edges aren't rounded anymore. The rounding issue only happens with these graphic frames, objects with rounded edges render just fine.

CC Libraries Saved Text issue
>>In CC Libraries I have pre-set headlines text set with font and kerning. When I drag and drop desired headline into page layout, the font is changed out to something completely different. I've double check the save CC text file is it's as it's should be. I'm not sure what happened or how to fix it. These headlines I use on a daily bases have have hand kerning needed to each, which is time consuming to do each time.
>>Screen shots are with a headline what I'm looking to change from "All you need." to "The real deal."

InDesign freezing when pressing backspace in a text box of more than 500 or 600 words
>>>This only seems to be a problem when using long text boxes more than a few hundred words. InDesign starts to slow down while I'm typing, but if I then select text or press backspace (mostly the latter) then InDesign freezes for 10 to 15 seconds.
>>I've searched the problem, but the only solution I have found is to try closing the info panel, but this seems to be a CS3 fix and doesn't work.

Press del to delete the pdf file. At this time, the indesign cc will crash. After the crash, restart indesign cc and repeat the operation. The probability of crash is much smaller.

overlapping text on paragraph break in INDD
>>When formatting text using a parent page element that's been activated (by using Shift + CMD + Click) on a page, and forcing a paragraph break so that the text goes from two lines to three, the first of the now three lines "hides" behind the second line. The current fix to this issue is to make an edit to the first line so it "pays attention" to the change and goes where it's supposed to.

Type tool still deselects itself InDD 15.0.1
>>The bug has been already reported, it's been claimed to be fixed in 14.0.1, but actually still persists and never was corrected.
>>Typing "T" just selects the type tool very briefly, then changes back to the previous tool. Clicking inside a text frame has the same result, even if you get to select some part of the text, it just changes back tot he previous tool in most of the cases. The only way to get it work, is to select the tool in the sidebar, however even there it takes several seconds to become active.

nonprinting text boxes disappear in normal view. Create a text box and type text into it. Select Window/Output/Attributes, and tick the box.
>>>InDesign 18.2.1, Mac Mini Apple M2 Pro, Ventura 13.3.1 (a). Create a text box in Normal View and type text into it. Select the box, then Window/Output/Attributes, and tick Nonprinting. The text box on the page becomes invisible, although you can still select it if you know where it is. What should happen is that the box and text remain visibile but do not print. This makes the nonprinting feature useless. This was OK in my last version of InDesign, CS6 on a PC.
