  1. OPTION TO: turn off share for review????

    turn off share for review???? I HATE IT DON'T USE OR NEED IT. IT INTERFERES with constant popup window (lags, freezes, stalls, empty frame takes up space & time) so intrusive. I should be able to TURN OFF!!! IF I EVER NEED IT, toggle back on.

  2. Text margins don't change when master pages are applied

    Version: InDesign CC2019
    Steps to reproduce: Apply a new Master page, with different margins, to a document page with text frame
    Expected result: Text frame should resize to fit the new margins of the master page (as before with Layout Adjustment enabled)
    Actual result: Page margins change but text frame stays the same. Useless! I have to manually adjust the text block to fit the new margins.

    Hello All,

    Thank you for reporting the issue to us.
    We have fixed the issue in the latest version of InDesign, Id 14.0.3

    Please upgrade your InDesign application to the latest version to try out the fix.

    If you are unable to see the update yet, go to Creative Cloud desktop application, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right corner and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    If you face any problems with the new update, do let us know in the comments.

  3. Unable to package a file to a server after upgrading to Mojave.

    Dear Adobe,
    Yesterday we upgraded to 10.14 Mojave and I am not able to package files from windows server. Indesign freezes every time.
    I can make packeges from my MAC or from external hard drives. The network is working correctly. On High Sierrea everything worked properly.

    Indesign CC 2018: 13.0
    Mac: 10.14

    Hello All,

    We have concluded our investigation into the issue and found that the issue is specific to few versions of MacOS 10.14.×.
    As a part of our investigation we had reached out to many of you, where many of you have confirmed that the issue gets resolved after upgrading to MacOS 10.14.5.

    Note:
    If you are NOT using MacOS 10.14.5 and still facing this issue, please upgrade your MacOs to 10.14.5 version.
    In case you continue to face the same issue after the upgrade, you may reach out to us at sharewithid@adobe.com.

    For any other problem related to packaging workflows please create a new thread.

    Hi
    Since the last update of InDesign to 19.0 version, every time that I don't have any document open the workspace changes to [Aspectos esenciales], my system is in spanish, and open a window to create a new document...
    This is more anoying...
    How can I fix my workspace permanently and closed permanently too the create new document window...

  5. Drop-down menu options not highlighting

    Visual feedback of selected item works when moving down through list using Down Arrow Key. Visual feedback does not work when moving back up through the list using Up Arrow Key. It will select the correct item, it just doesn't show that the correct item is currently highlighted.

    The fix for this issue is now available in the latest update 14.0.2 of InDesign 2019.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.
    Once the update button is shown against InDesign, click on the button to update to Id 14.0.2.

  6. Dialogue windows doesn't stay where you last put it

    On older versions when you resized/moved dialogue windows they stayed where they were, now, when I'm relinking multiple items for example, I have to move the window out of the way so I can see my links pallete. Every. ****. Time. This just ruins my workflow and is a basic bit of functionality that's been broken for a while now. Please fix!

  7. InDesign 2019 Fails to open properly and freezes.

    I recently updated to InDesign 2019 and had no problem using it last week.
    Today it is not opening properly, taking around 10 minutes to open a file, then freezes the second I try to do anything in a text box.

    It has occurred with every file I've tried, multiple times.
    I have also tried ending all InDesign processes and restarting my computer.

    Not sure if anyone else has come across this issue?

    Hello All,

    Thank you for your patience all this while.
    This issue is now fixed in the latest update (Id 14.0.1) of InDesign CC.
    If you are unable to see the update notification yet, open the menu (three dots) from the top-right of Creative Cloud desktop application and click on ‘Check For App Updates’.

    Once the update button is shown against InDesign CC, click on the button to update your InDesign to Id 14.0.1 for the fix of the issue.
    Do let us know in the comments, if you face any problem with the new update.

  8. Relink all Instances

    New update does not allow you "Relink all Instances" if the link is broken.

    1. Excel sheet is placed / linked in file
    2. Excel sheet is updated
    3. Right click on broken link and select "Relink all Instances of [...]"
    4. Relink pop up window appears where it is "loading" file
    5. Window disappears but link is still broken and nothing is changed.

    Only happened after installing CC 17.4

  9. Indesign display refresh WORKAROUND

    If you have an Indesgin 2021, Catalina, Big Sur display problem where 1) scrolling, zoomin and/or refreshing does red or other strange artifacts 2) opening 2 dokuments in tabs corrupts display and results option 1 type of refreshing problems you could try this:

    Open every document into their own WINDOW not TAB.

    It looks so far that the bug disappeaars.

  10. When Application Frame is Turned Off, News Windows Size Behind GUI/Tools

    I'm one of the many users that doesn't like the Application Frame in either Illustrator or InDesign because I usually like to drag&drop things or switch between applications on my Mac as I work creatively.

    I hate that when a new window is generated (opening a file or creating a new one) it is sized beyond the size of my laptop screen and always BEHIND my docked tools in both Illustrator and InDesign software. Photoshop has the sense not to do this so whats going on with these other tools???

  11. History panel erases undo option and history steps (behavior different from previous version) and

    The history panel seems to be limited to 5 actions. Additionally, with the latest update (20.2), if you access the history panel at all, it overtakes the Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z function for undo/redo as it has worked in the past.

    When the history panel is opened, it selects the most recent action. Even if the panel is closed, whatever is done after this point erases all the other actions, so that you are left with "open" as the previous step. Edit>Undo (Ctrl+Z) is disabled, and you can no longer undo work.

    Additionally, steps will sometimes combine themselves without any user…

  12. Handtool Spacebar not working (CC2020)

    When ending Sleep Mode on my MacBook Pro, the Handtool via the spacebar in InDesign does not work nor in any other Adobe Application. No other Application open besides Mail. Restart Applications doesn´t help. Just a whole Restart of the Computer.

    Happens with macOS Mojave (10.14.6)

  13. Indesign opens on wrong screen with multiple monitors (Mac OS)

    This issue has been going on for years now. I recently updated to inDesign 2025, but it's still not solved for me:

    Expected result: I've assigned InDesign to open on my external monitor, just like all my other Adobe apps.
    Actual result: It completely ignores this, and just opens on my Macbook screen. The window resize buttons will be hidden behind my menu bar, so I have to alt+drag the window to make the buttons appear again. Then I can drag inDesign to my external monitor.
    I've seen posts going back to 2019 about this issue

  14. [ID-4257732]CMYK color specified in MathML does not match the set value

    InDesign 20.0 (2025)
    Windows /macOS

    When I apply a preset or a newly created CMYK swatch to MathML, the color does not match the value.
    It appears to be CMYK via RGB color.

    Thank you for trying out the MathML feature in InDesign! The math objects created using this feature are placed as SVGs, and hence they exclusively support RGB colours.If you try to apply a non RGB colour (CMYK/LAB/HSV-based), then by design it is converted to RGB before it is applied to the math object. This conversion is designed to enable users to continue using document colours that are not RGB-based for the math object SVGs.

  15. Can't edit bookmarks

    Ver. 14.0.1 - The interactive Bookmarks window doe not allow me to edit an existing bookmark. When I delete the bookmark in InDesign and then create a PDF it continues to exist in the PDF. Why am I unable to edit the bookmark?

  16. Searching for GREP in long documents (hundreds of pages) = crash of ID

  17. Publish Online Dashboard Fails to Show Analytics

    The analytics information will not load for individual documents or in the overview tab for documents published online from InDesign. I have found this to be a problem on macOS Mojave and Windows 10 using multiple web browsers including Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

    When attempting to use view analytics or delete the online document, nothing occurs on the Document Trends page.

    Documents published from InDesign 19.0 onwards will no longer support integrated analytics from the dashboard. You can integrate Google Analytics to track insights into your documents.

    Analytics for documents published from the previous versions of InDesign will continue to be collected until November 30, 2024, after which no new analytics will be collected.

  18. Id CC 2020 pdf export failure

    I get an error "Failed to Export the PDF file" when exporting file previously created in Id CC 2019.
    Id does not give any details about the error. It simply stops exporting. I've never seen such a message before (I've been working with Id since version 1.0).
    The same file is exported from CC2019 without any problems.
    Windows 10 with all updates.

  19. Activated Fonts Don't Load

    I created a graphic with Minion Pro Bold font but when I reopen the file to do more work a pop up window says I need to activate the Bold. Only when I shut down the software and reopen it after activating does the Bold font appear as originally designed. This happens over and over and seems like an unprofessional bug in the software.

  20. InDesign doesn't display files or any kind of Interface I can work with.

    InDesign doesn't display the files I want to work on.
    InDesign Version I use is 14.0.2
    Steps to reproduce:
    Open InDesign by clicking on the app icon or double click an InDesign file, none works.
    Expected result: To see the file I want to open and be able to work on it.
    Actual result: InDesign window seems hidden and doesn't display my file which means I can't edit it.
    I tried to clear preferences & cache but there's no InDesign file in the cache folder.
