InDesign doesn't display files or any kind of Interface I can work with.
InDesign doesn't display the files I want to work on.
InDesign Version I use is 14.0.2
Steps to reproduce:
Open InDesign by clicking on the app icon or double click an InDesign file, none works.
Expected result: To see the file I want to open and be able to work on it.
Actual result: InDesign window seems hidden and doesn't display my file which means I can't edit it.
I tried to clear preferences & cache but there's no InDesign file in the cache folder.

Two years later, this problem is still not resolved. How can it "display" on the external monitor, if the said monitor is not attached?

InDesign app opens on my Mac (Running OS Mojave). Thumbnails appear in pane but actual layout pages of document will not display. I've closed app, rebooted and even deleted and reloaded InDesign but no change to the problem. I'm paying a subscription but not getting an app. Not at all happy.

I use a MacBook Pro for work and use an external monitor in my office. My issue is that whenever I quit InDesign while using it on my external monitor and then disconnect, I cannot open it again on just my laptop. When I launch the program, the menu bar shows up but the program window is nowhere to be found. This is problematic when I am trying to work on the go (which happens often) and can't access my work until I hunt down a monitor to connect to.

High Sierra - 10.13.6

I have InDesign open and when I click a file to open or try to open a file from the program it expands as if it were about to open but then all I see is my desktop. When I ctrl click on ID in my dock and click "show all windows" that attached screen shot is all that I see. Please help!
