publish online full screen support on iPads
Hi,
i am using the great "Publish Online" feature on several documents.
My docs are ok everywhere...Except full screen browsing :
• working perfectly on desktop browsers, when clicked on the icon in the inferior bar.
• working perfectly on iPhone (recent os) when switched in landscape mode.• not working on iPad (recent os, iPad 2, iPad Air and iPad Pro), none of the gesture will work, and none of the browsers neither…
I've tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Opera.Impossible to obtain a full screen viewing, which is really required for a presentation. The upper bar will remain…

EXPORT JPG NAMED BY PAGE SIZE
Dear Adobe,
it would be very usefull if we could export jpgs from indd. file (contains different page sizes, 1200x628, 760x600, etc..) named by different page sizes like you did with export PDF files.

visibility of the Colorsetting in menu bar
I often work in different color settings for newspaper printing or offset printing. It seems convenient to me if I can see the current color setting as a notification in the menu bar. Also usefull for other applications as well like Illustrator and Photoshop.

Batch Single Page PDF Creation
Please add an option to export ranges of pages as single page PDF files from Indesign like Illustrator(save individual artboards). This would simplfy sending pages to assembly station for imposition and corrections afterward.
12 votesHi All, this feature is now available in the latest version of InDesign i.e. InDesign 13.1
Kindly update InDesign to get access to this feature.

Please expose a PDF's page count to scripting
To place a PDF in InDesign, you have to know the PDF's page count. The main point of the PlaceMultiPagePDF script is to show how you can place a PDF without knowing its page count, but it's slow business and get very tedious when you want to place part-ranges that include an open-ended range, such as 10-20, 30-
There is a hack, but it's ugly and unreliable.

Artifacting Master Page Items—accessibility
Within the past year, Adobe InDesign changed the way it handles items on a master page when the file is exported to accessible PDF.
We used to be able to control each MP item and designate whether it was artifacted or kept live and tagged in the PDF reading orders. BUT, in recent versions of InDesign, EVERYTHING on the MP is automatically artifacted and we have no control over this.
This fowls up workflows where some MP items must be kept live, tagged, and in the PDF's reading order, such as the project I'm working (series of fact sheets for…

Duplicate page along with new swatches
Would love it if i was able to duplicate a page along with its swatches and the new page would now be linked to the new color swatches. This way i could change all the colors on the page and it would only apply to that page.
Alternatively, perhaps i would be able to create new swatches from a page, and the page would now automatically be linked to the new swatches so i could globally change a color but only for that particular page (because it created and linked new swatches for the page).
I would…

next page doesn't work
Hi there,
When inserting Type=>Special Characters=>Marker=>Next page InDesign inserts the CM marker which is the current page. Consequently where I need the next page number to appear it displays the current page number.
Kind regards
Mike Howell5 votesThe text frame containing the Next Page Number Marker has to just touch the text frame and the correct page number gets picked. No need to link the text frames together. Just the fact that it touches the text frame will make it automatically pick the correct next page number that the text flows to in the document.
Hope that helps.

Assign paragraph style depending on odd/even page
It would be nice to assign a paragraph style automatically depending on the “value” of a odd or even page? So you can for example make some styles have more margin at the right or left side, depending on odd or even.
Of course you can apply this with different paragraph style, but when a new page appears in the middle of a large document it would be very nice if this can go automatically.

Change to using ribbons instead of the old style menu bar.
My wish is to see the menu bar replaced with Ribbons and tabs (as in Microsoft Office 2016). It is so much more efficient than using menus.

Allowing 2-automatic page numbers/per page.
I work on proposals and we are usually limited to the number of pages within the document. It is often stated, that when we use an 11x17 page, this page counts as two pages in the proposal. It would be an amazing new feature if you could set up the option to have an additional automatic page number for these cases. Perhaps you could have an option to insert a second automatic page number on the master, or a feature that skips a number, starting the next 8.5x11 spread on the proper page number after counting the…

Automatically create page hyperlinks from page. numbers entered to the page in the document
Have an option so that when typing an index and I type in a page number on the index page the program automatically creates a hyperlink to that page - it would save me hours every year. Even if you had to create a column within a table or something to do this.....
Of use the chapter heading at the top of the page to automatically create an index

Absolute page numbers as a text variable
I propose adding "Absolute Page Number" as a text variable. Similar to Last Page Number, "Absolute Page Number" would allow the document creator to place the absolute page number of the layout onto a page while also using another page numbering system (sections, roman numerals, etc.).
With long documents now both being used in whole or separated into parts by clients, this would allow InDesign users to fulfill the issue of having a page carry two numbering schemes at the same time.

Print page
Please consider changing the default setting on the Print Page setting from "Print All" to "Range". No one wants to Print All the pages every time you go to print pages. I cannot tell you how many times i hit print, thinking i am printing one page in the document and then realize i did not toggle "Range" and wind up running to the printer to cancel a file that is going to waste 25 sheets of paper. Please, please please change this default setting. Since i found this feature request site, I will now continue to send…

Convert Page Guides to Spread Guides
I would like to suggest a small but highly useful improvement for a future update of InDesign.
Currently, when guides are placed within a single page, there is no built-in way to convert them into spread guides (guides that span across the entire spread), unless they are re-created manually while holding Ctrl/Cmd during placement. This becomes especially frustrating when a layout contains a large number of precisely positioned guides that need to be extended to the full spread — for example, after a reorganization of pages or when switching from single-page to spread layout.
Feature suggestion:

In InDesign, you cannot directly customize the right-click context menu to add specific commands like 'Corner Options' or 'Relink Image...'
In InDesign, you cannot directly customize the right-click context menu to add specific commands I use often — Object functions like 'Corner Options....' or Links functions like 'Relink Image...'. Customization to the right-click context menu like this would help to increase workflow speed for users.

Bookmarking files on home screen
I'm often working on 10+ projects and probably 20+ files in Indesign at a time. Whenever I restart the computer or switch between projects, it takes time to navigate to the folder where I've saved the project and look at various collateral involved with the project as well as open the Indesign file.
It would be great to have another section on the home screen under the Recent files to have Bookmark files. The logical place to put the bookmark function would be in the Files menu when you have the file open, but you can also put a shortcut…1 vote
