   "Go back to a specific page" - meaning if I have text links in the file and move from page 10 to page 110, give me an easy way to return to where I came from. In this case, page 10. Like a back button navigating through webpages. This is for PUBLISH ONLINE

   In Photoshop, the keyboard shortcut settings include a search function that facilitates quick navigation through extensive menus. Implementing a similar feature in InDesign would streamline workflow efficiency.

   1. Improved Font Menu Navigation

   The current font dropdown menu displays a limited number of typefaces, necessitating extensive scrolling. Expanding the dropdown to utilize the full screen height would allow more fonts to be visible simultaneously, reducing the need for excessive scrolling.

   Additionally, when searching for a font, the cursor defaults to the top of the menu, highlighting the last used font. Positioning the cursor directly at the searched font would enhance usability, especially when frequently switching between similar font families.

   Implementing these enhancements would significantly improve the user experience in InDesign.

3. Full screen mode while in portrait view on iPhone and other devices

   It might just be my olddd iPhone 6 but portrait view always leaves navigation bar and footer bar on screen when viewing.

   Now until responsive layouts become a feature (wish), then if we want to create a portrait layout publication/document for viewing on a device, full- screen doesn't happen for me and others. It would nice to be able to enable this, as in landscape view.

4. Opentype + Glyphs UI Menu Preview

   The UI for Opentype is extremely difficult and time consuming to use. The entire thing needs to be set up like Illustrator, with one addition: PREVIEW TYPOGRAPHIC FEATURES (especially the stylistic sets).

   This UI feature should behave just like the Fonts Menu: When you open the font family menu with text highlighted, each font you hover over previews on your selected text.

   This needs to be replicated for Opentype and Glyphs. So once you open the dropdown for stylist sets or glyphs, each style you hover over, will preview in real time on your selected text or in a pop up menu.

   Not only will this SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVE USER EXPERIENCE by removing all the clunky impediments, it will also IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY! As someone lightly vision impaired, it is extremely difficult to see small details in the font + glyphs menu.
   Having the ability to preview the changes on highlighted text, allows me to see the styles at a visible scale!

   Please Adobe team make these changes!🙏 It will make Opentype and Glyphs easier to use and more accessible to all. 😊

   Also sorry if this request already exists - it's extremely hard to search and navigate posts. 😞

5. Add custom labels to page thumbnails in the Pages panel

   As someone who regularly works with large, multi-page InDesign documents - especially project-based packages - I’d love to see the ability to assign custom labels or names to individual pages in the Pages panel.

   Currently, when I need to go back and edit a specific project page in a large qualifications package, it’s difficult and time-consuming to locate the right page. Using only numerical page numbers doesn’t give me the context I need, especially when each page represents a different project.

   While section markers and visible labels on the page help somewhat, these don’t make navigation faster within the Pages panel. What would really help is the ability to:

   • Add custom labels (e.g., "Project Name, Client Grouping") next to or beneath page thumbnails in the Pages panel

   • Use those labels to search, sort, or jump to specific pages more easily

   • Keep things organized when working with 50+ pages of unique but visually similar content

   This feature would make InDesign much more efficient for designers managing complex documents — especially in architecture, marketing, publishing, and design studios.

6. Make mini-icons easier to see

   I am running InDesign 2017.1 on a 1920x1080 monitor. The toolbar icons are quite small, but still usable, except for the ones dealing with color and stroke (lower left corner of UI). The mini-icons are trouble for old eyes and hands. I have tried changing the Windows text size setting to 125%, which improves the mini-icon situation but bloats the whole UI, reducing the work area. All I really want to do is make the color/stroke jumble easier to navigate and use. Everything else is fine as is.

7. Stop flashing when changing next, previous page.

   When pressing navigation (arrow keys) publishonline is flashing or clearing the page. Please stop that and just display the next page!

9. No transition effects to assist loading pages with identical backgrounds.

   By default Publish online introduces a fade on page load even when there are no transitions applied in InDesign. This interferes when you use multiple pages to spoof the appearance of navigating within a one-page environment.

   When I export to PDF the background isn't redrawn so the appearance of the linked page appears smoothly. Publish Online is clunky when loading the next page as it momentarily goes black and then fades-in the page items.

   A bit of background .... I've created a page with a number of rollover buttons, then a duplicate of that page which is navigated to (x10) upon click release, to act as a navigable table of links for sections of a company assessment with one of our clients.

10. Import images linked locally to creative cloud library from within any CC app

    Currently if I want to use a new asset that I've downloaded or saved to desktop the process looks like this:

    1. Navigate to CC desktop app
    2. Navigate to existing CC library or create a new one
    3. Drag and drop assets from desktop into library
    4. Go to InDesign (or whichever app)
    5. Navigate to appropriate library
    6. Drag asset from library to working document

    What I'd like is:

    1. Place item from desktop in document
    2. Select the asset in the Links panel
    3. Click "import to current library"
    4. Asset is imported directly to the library and the link is automatically updated to the library version of the asset

    Currently if I want to use a new asset that I've downloaded or saved to desktop the process looks like this:

    1. Navigate to CC desktop app
    2. Navigate to existing CC library or create a new one

12. Show description text when choosing existing document to update.

    The Publish Online feature has been really useful for my company--we create brochures for specific clients or potential clients, and provide them access to the electronic version of the brochure.

    Most of our brochures are based on a single template, but are altered slightly to meet the needs of the specific client. We always enter a fairly generic document title in the Document Settings fields of the Publish Your Document Online window, because that title is shown at the bottom of the page when the document is accessed by the end user.

    We then use the "Description" window to capture specific information about the document--like the name of the client it was personalized for, or whether a specific section has been edited from the standard, etc. for this particular document. This means that I have a large number of documents with the same name hosted on Publish Online, but they are all slightly different.

    The problem comes when I want to update a specific one of the hosted documents. In the Publish Your Document Online window, when you choose Update Existing Document, you are asked to select an existing document to update, and are presented with a dropdown window listing all of the documents hosted on Publish Online. However, this window does not show the description information, so there is no way for me to differentiate between any of the documents that have the same name.

    Without this information, in the majority of situations, I simply cannot use the "Update Existing Document" feature. Instead, I have to republish the edited document, and then navigate to the Publish Online Dashboard (which does show the descriptions) and delete the existing version of the document that I just updated.

    This is inefficient, makes the publication analytics inaccurate, and changes the URL of the final document. If our client bookmarked the URL in order to return to the document at a later date, they will now get an error message when they try to follow that bookmark.

    I have attached a jpg that shows the information that I can see when I access the dropdown menu in the "Update Existing Document" window. I have attached another image showing my Publish Online Dashboard including the document titles and descriptions.

13. Adding interactivity for Windows 10

    Interactivity is not yet available for Digital Publishing on Windows 10 OS. Until it does, it would be great if inDesign had a panel where you could write code to create hyperlink and button navigation.

    Please provide the ability to save a user preset File view. I am constantly having to click on List view and setting it to sort A - Z this is becoming cumbersome when trying to quickly navigate my files saved to web in InDesign and other CC applications. I've provided two screen shots. The first one is in grid view which is what adobe always defaults to. The second screen shot is how the view I always use that would be so awesome if it would save which view I am using so I don't have to change it every single time I am navigating file/folder structure.

    The field LayoutWindow::activePage does not change when the user navigates to another page until another insertion point is selected. I would like to be able to track the page that is currently displayed.

17. Find/change return to where you started, like Word

    When you're done Find/Replace, InDesign leaves you at the last occurrence, and you have to navigate to where you started. In Word, most of the time the screen returns to where you started, saving you time. Any chance of adding this to InD?

18. The ability to flick between pages on imported Indesign files

    Self explanatory - The ability to flick between pages on imported Indesign files without having to go to relink then navigate to the file, then to the page you want. A simple forward/back page button next to the link would speed up my workflow immensely.

20. Add a setting to make horizontal scrolling / zoom with mouse wheel match operating system

    In Windows, holding shift while scrolling scrolls horizontally and holding ctrl while scrolling zooms in / out.

    I would like to be able to the same behavior in InDesign so I do not have to consciously change how I navigate documents when using adobe products
