Is Interactive Video Wall Display Shaping a New Future?
If anyone said that the majority of a person’s day time will be spent in front of a screen, then no one would have believed that. Presently, an average human spends almost half of their awake time in front of some kind of screen; be it in their home or office.
No doubt, the quality and the projection of these screens have improved drastically. Starting from TFT screens to AMOLED or even foldable screens, technology has helped in changing how we look at the screen.
Recently, there has been a new breakthrough in video wall display: The Laser Phosphor Display…

Set Solidity of Spot colors
We have HP Indigo's that can print white ink. For example, printing white ink on a golden paper, it looks great, and if you have a picture, just slab some white ink below it and it looks good.
However in InDesign, if you set the colors accordingly (Paper color to gold, and add a white spot color), and you enable overprint preview, the white ink just disappears. This means, we're desining with paper set to white and white ink set to Cyan to see what we're doing. Tbh we'd like to see what we'll eventually get.
We need…

Calendar Wizard!
So this is a cry for help! I've been using the Calendar Wizard script but when I go to populate the calendar, I'm unable to access some controls because the window that pops up does not give me access to the options at the bottom (save, etc). I can expand the screen to full-size and the options do not appear. I even had my computer service remote-in and look and they said it's likely a programming error. Can anyone help?
This last time I used it, I manually added 4 custom calendars and the window re-tiled to the right and…

Allow object styles to be applies to all threaded text boxes
I have a couple of threaded text frames. I would like them to all have the same object style, which also includes a paragraph style in them.
As of now, indesign officially states that threaded text boxes can't share these settings. I can see why this makes sense in certain conflicting situations, but it is definitely required in many situations (just as I'm really needing it now).
I think it's fair for indesign to at least have it as an option that can be turned on or off - the option to apply object styles (e.g. paragraph styles) across…

Reopen color theme floating palettes
I have a workbook/training document that has sections, and each section uses a different color scheme. I used the Color Theme tool to create the different color themes for the various sections. But with each new theme, I lost the preceding floating palette. It would be so helpful to be able to reopen a color theme floating palette that is based on a theme you saved in the Swatches panel. It would be more convenient to drag the floating palette around the screen (near to the objects where you want to apply fill or stroke) than to have…

Enable importing of comments from PDF Review in Document Cloud
Importing of comments from a review being shared via Document Cloud makes perfect sense, this would make a seamless process. The new share for review feature looks great but is too buggy to use at the moment with clients (I have tried)

Export Adobe PDF > Create separate pdf > Suffixes options (looking for Page Master suffix)
Exporting pages as separate PDFs, I want to ad the Masterpage-names in the PDF-file-name as an Suffix. (Perhaps followed by the pagenumber if necessary.)
Example:
Making single-page flyers, I've got Masterpages (Which contains a footer.) for different languages.
I make the same flyer on p1: UK, p2: FR, p3 DE, ...When exporting all pages to a separate PDF I would like to ad the Master-page-name (or prefix) as a Suffix to the filenames like:
FlyerUK
FlyerFR
Flyer_DEOr if the Master-page is used on multiple pages:
FlyerUK-p1
FlyerUK-p2
FlyerFR

Cover page for printing book should have their own setup by default to reduce confusion
I having issue seriously with page numbers. If its 38pp but in my pages box, shows 34pp example. Why do i need to get confused here?
I think indesign perhaps should have an option where I can right click and say page 1 and 2 is the cover, than the last two page is also a cover. Page number doesnt change, instead, right click and select it as book covers and boomz.
So confusing when i exported it shows 34pp in pdf preview, and indesign shows 32pp. So yeah. That could be one feature adobe team can seriously look into.…

Improve the preview quality for effects like drop shadows a.s.o.
When applying an effect like drop shadow to an item, the preview is always bad - even in high quality preview. I have to write a PDF to see if the shadow looks like I want it to. Especially with very small/thin shadows, the preview is always pixelated. Please improve that

Functionality for Properties Panel - similar to Illustrator Properties Panel
I love the properties panel in InDesign. It's fantastic for beginners. I have them set up the interface to look a lot like PS and AI. I think it makes it easier to learn and feels more familiar if they have experience with the other apps. The properties panel in Illustrator has fantastic functionality. The panels are all there so you don't have to open the floating panels. The ... allows you to open the actual panel if you need more. I would like the InDesign Properties panel to work the same way. There are commands hidden in the paragraph…

Auto size headshots in frames based on a "key object" frame
Similar to how Photoshop has facial recognition, a lot of the time in my job I have to place many headshots in a grid of frames, etc. and they're not all the same resolution, crop or size. It would be awesome to have a feature that lets you select all of the frames with face photos, then click one of the frames like setting the "key object" and then InDesign will size the headshot images within the rest of the frames to match the cropping of the "key object" so everything looks consistent.

Smaller CC Packages please
Why do I have to include loads of programs I don't need if I upgrade to CC? It's bad enough making us pay this expensive subscription but as a graphic designer I only use InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro. Can't you fashion more selective packages? I'm holding out with CS6 but having been coerced by Apple into upgrading to High Sierra it's all looking wobbly. Adobe are the vanguard of the Tyranny Of Upgrade.

mobile application
I have been looking at switching to a mobile first workflow for a while now and technology is starting to catch up, which I am super excited about! One thing that seems to be missing is a replacement for InDesign so that I don't have to rely on my Macbook for creating the kinds of documents that you can create in InDesign. It would need to be modernized and have an improved workflow that would be enhanced by the nature of mobile computing devices. I would love to see Adobe get something like this out there soon!

Remove plug in
I used an add-on module for years that I will not need anymore. Without the current version of this plugin, I can not package the files anymore. Therefore, I would like to permanently remove the plug-in from the file. For that I can not find a solution, except to first create an IDML file.
I'm looking for a simpler solution, because I have several hundred files that are equipped with the module.2 votes -
Make it easier to find the option for 4-page spreads.
The User Guide needs to include information about creating 4-page spreads. For book editing, seeing 8 pages at a time is great (on a larger monitor screen, which as a book publisher I use.). The Page function allows a 4-page spread, or more, when the user disables the Shuffle setting and drags and connects 4 pages together horizontally in the page view. Fine. I found this out on some non-Adobe graphic design forum by luck. This wasn't anywhere in the Adobe InDesign help or user information that I could find. Include this in the User Guide! Improve it so it's…

Library panel: Pop-up preview on focus
Thumbnails, even large thumbnails, in the Library panel are often not enough to know which object I’m looking at. I often have a lot of similar items in one library. How about a preview that appears when the mouse hovers over a library item? It would work like tool tips.
While I’m on the subject, how about letting us name items in the panel instead of requiring a dialogue? Most panel work this way.

Automatic drilling-down in index preview when new entry is added
When I use the key combination Ctrl-Alt-Shift-[ to add a new index entry, I can't immediately tell if it worked. I have to scroll to the right spot in the index preview and drill down through the alphabet and layers of headings and subheadings to find the new entry and see that it looks as expected.
This really slows me down. I find myself doing this over and over again. And I have to do, it, because if for some reason the key combo didn't work (say, because one of the keys wasn't depressed enough) and I didn't notice,…

Change character in default font
I'm looking for a way to change a character in my default font. I use the font family Proxima Nova (an Adobe font, what I have activated). In InDesign you can choose between two character for the letter 'a'. There I can change the font with find glyph en replace it for the other one.
It would be awesome to set that letter 'a' as a default 'a' in that typefont. Because this is an extra action I make for all my designs. Is there a way to change a character and set it as my default character in…
