Allow Webp files to be used.
I know .webp is a web based format. webp should be a fuctional supported file format in All Adobe products without an aftermarket plugin.
If I am missing how to do this I would appreciate any info that can be provided.
Thanks

InDesign does support WebP. You can link and embed files.
What it can't do yet, and I would love to see is being able to choose WebP in the an Adobe PDF Preset for export. When exporting large projects as a PDF for review, the files sizes can get out of hand, and JPEG compression just doesn't help much when the quality suffers so immensely.

We effectively use our website as a PIM system for our catalogue, except now the website converts all the jpegs we upload to .Webp and its a ball ache to convert them all back. 2 years, come on Adobe!

Photoshop can open them – it's high time that InDesign can import them without first converting via Photoshop.
