1. Dialogbox "Fileinformation" nor correctly displayed

   When opening the "Fileinformation" dialogbox , the box is displayed, but too big and can not be resized. When trying to moved it, it can suddenly disappear and Indesign can only be closed via Taskmanager.

   This seems to be a bug existing since many years (since 2016 !!!) affecting HighDPI monitors and also being present in other Adobe CC apps:

   In my case it happened with latest Indesign (18.5...?), latest Win11 on a Lenovo notebook with a 15" HighDPI screen.

   this makes it also imposible to read the "About Indesign

2. PDF Export displays grey box

   Adobe InDesign CC 2019 on macOS High Sierra

   Currently working in a layout where I'm exporting a PDF, but one image in the document shows as a missing link (grey box) in the export.
   I've tried saving the image as a png, relinking from a different location, changing the display to high quality, checked my preferences, preflight errors, and display settings, and nothing has fixed this.

3. Effects / blending mode

   InDesign 16.4 x Windows 64: Cannot scroll the list of blending modes with arrow key(s) and preview the results in a selected box. I've always been able to do this in the past (InDesign CS 2, 4, 6). New laptop, new Adobe subscription. I can 'scroll,' but no preview. Window closes each time, so at least 30 clicks to re-open and select through the list.

   Hi everyone,

   The behavior mentioned here has been there since InDesign CC (that came out more than 8 years ago in 2013).
   Behavior in InDesign CS6 (and earlier) was different.

   Please confirm if you were seeing different behavior in any of the CC versions. Illustrator also behaves the same way.

4. Filenames and Thumbnails on the Home screen are on top of each other

   Version of Adobe InDesign, InCopy or InDesign Server: 16.0
   Steps to reproduce the issues: Go to Home Screen
   Expected result: See recent files
   Actual result: I see the recent files but I can't read the filenames properly because they are on top of each other. The thumbnails are not aligned as well. Please see attached screenshot.

5. Updating to Mac OSX Mojave, Indesign now behaving slow and shortcut make new document does not work anymore

   Drawing a box, moving it around etc is now a kind of laggy. Moves but slow and kind of stuttering.

   The GUI overall, menus etc, behaves a bit slower as well. Not much but not as quick and responsive at it was in Sierra.

   Have tried de-activating GPU but that has no difference at all.

   I have the latest version, 14.0.2.
   Updated to Mojave because the Adobe chat support suggested that would help out some other issues I have had.
   One reason was that command + new shortcut stopped working. And now it stopped working again...

   Same thing happens in Illustrator so it seems to be something of a Mojave comparability?

   Other software (non-adobe) seems to be just fine though.

   Using a Imac 2017, i7, 32 ram, 1 tb ssd.

   I'm a big fan of technology but in Adobes case it seems as going back a few years actually was better having a lot fewer issues in the software.
   (For me it all started with the bloody CC subscription thing.)

   osx 10.14.6 with 2 rounds of recent Mojave updates / total nightmares/ debacles caused by apple and apparently has lingering issues/bugs.

8. Indesign so slow with certain files

   I updated to Big Sur and CC21... now a lot of my indesign files don't work, super slow, lagging, any links display as pixelated... I can't use files that have taken me hours upon hours to create. I have been on phone calls and screen sharing with Adobe for over 4 hours and no solve. Have had 2 hours of screen share with Mac, no solve. Help!?

9. Shortcut CMD + S increasing the file size.

   Files created within InDesign are increasing in size dramatically with every CMD + S.

   It is not the files linked in the document which are 100 % to the ration they are seen and resetting the cache ~/Library>Caches> Adobe Indesign does not have any effect.

   macOS Mojave
   Version 10.14.5

   InDesign CC 2019
   14.0.2

   To test this we have created a quick document with an Adobe Support Technician Saptam (see image-01). This document is 1.5 MB and when the design elements have been deleted and the file saved CMD +S you can see the file size doesn't go down (see image-02).

   It remains at 1.5 MB and only when you go File > Save As through the navigation menu does the file size drop again to 1 MB.

   For illustration purposes this is was only a small test whilst on the chat feature to Adobe. The files I was originally working on were for a point-of-sale suite

   Totem
   3.55 GB (CMD + S)
   644.8 MB (FILE > SAVE AS)

   Wobbler
   1.49 GB (CMD + S)
   279.8 MB (FILE > SAVE AS)

   A1 Poster
   2.46 GB (CMD + S)
   281.1 MB (FILE > SAVE AS)

   This is just a few examples and there was no difference between the files or image quality/size changes. Just File > Save As. Whilst CMD + S just added to my file as if it was embedding all the document history.

   Hope you can help on this issue.

    Not an idea. a bug.

    Come on guys this is basic stuff - can barely layout info like this.

    This is constantly happening. I'm on the latest everything. M1 MacBook Pro.

    I have to zoom in and zoom out to fix. This is unworkable. Just get the basics right guys... Adobe is impossible for reasons like this. If you can't get the basics right - don't bother developing new features. No wonder Apple think you develop below par software. This is your job to develop software that works. Not have arsed software that can barely do the basics. Don't release a 1000 new features when you can't even get the basics right. Two more months and I leave Adobe for good.

    Plus your feedback form is just ****! look at apples feedback form. Simple! No wonder you make it difficult to feedback - because you probably get constant complaints. Idiotic software!

12. [ID 17.2.20] Import xlsx spreadsheet: formatted numbers are truncated

    MacOS 10.15.7 (19H1824) French localization
    InDesign 17.2.0.20 (17200)
    Excel 16.58 (16.58.22021501)

    When importing an Excel sheet as a table, every number is truncated before the first thousand separator (which is a space in French).
    1 457 will be imported as 1
    21 457 >> 21
    (21 457) >> (21
    -210 457 >> -210
    621 457 >> 621
    and so on…

    After a lot of tests on several configurations and discussions on the Adobe forum, I can say that the issue will only occur on French macOS systems, starting with Catalina. No matters what version of InDesign is used (15.0 thru 17.2).

13. Running very slow

    InDesign CC 2023: no matter what settings (I.e. how many times I change the display performance to fast or turn off a lot of features) there is still a 5-7 second delay on every single keystroke, every cursor movement, every selection, etc. etc. That is, if it doesn't just freeze altogether. My document is only 21 pages with minimal text and the images shouldn't be displayed at full resolution anyway, so there's no reason it should be this laggy. No other adobe program has this problem for me at the moment. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program, that didn't work. I tried to clear the cache, but the keyboard shortcut didn't do anything. No matter what I do it doesn't even get faster. It's genuinely unusable at this point.

14. working spaces are not shown correctly after sleep mode

    Adobe InDesign version 20.0.1 (Mac OS): Problem: after sleep mode, the saved workspace is not displayed correctly. The tool palettes are no longer on the second screen after the Mac has been put to Sleep mode

15. Workspace dissapears when selecting objects

    When selecting objects with the mouse cursor or selecting text, the workspace disappears and everything becomes white. Once the process is finished, everything appears normal again.
    I use Adobe Indesign 19.1, macOS14.2.1, Apple M1 Max 32GB.

16. fontproblem – strange ligatures – invisible font

    Hi there

    In InDesign CC23 we have the problem that we sometimes have some issues with ligatures. We have the font Minion Pro activates in the Library. and somehow have the problem, that the ligatures appear to be a completely different character, see the screenshot.
    the problem could be resolved by deleting the Minion Font from the application folder > Ressources > Required > Fonts. the Ligatures changed back to the correct character. Or i deactivate the minion regular in the finder. But i need the font for other apps as well, so i need to activate the regular font as well.

    Other Problem as well with Minion. We accidentally activated the Font through our Font Tool as well through Adobe Cloud. That brought us the problem, that the complete Font isn’t visible in InDesign or compressed as ****, so a complete Textline is less than 1/2mm in width.

17. zoom scroll pan

    Make it so Windows version of Adobe programs are capable of all gestures such as zoom and pan/scroll. This works perfectly fine on my MacBook, but on Windows I'm only able to chose if I can scroll/pan or zoom, but cannot zoom and pan. This makes working with the program extremely difficult and infuriating when it's such a simple feature that works in every other basic program.

18. Can't access free templates

    If you create software, and have templates that are labeled free. There should be no reason why I need a adobe stock account to access FREE TEMPLATES!!

    If it requires said license, it should say, REQUIRES ADOBE STOCK LICENCE

    If you are going to offer a product and put a paywall subscription behind it, that you can't access. What is the point of paying for a product that you can't access FREE content or basic options to try out.

    Who ever designed that, needs to re-word it.

    As you can tell, not a happy client.

19. Try to export a small file size pdf but get error message everytime

    The previous InDesign document exported to a pdf no problem but for some reason next updated version will not! INFURIATING...I'm on a magazine deadline too!!!

20. Publish Online documents have become very slow to load

    Since the dashboard update, analytics 'since published' will NOT load.

    We're also noticing publish online documents are very slow to load initially.

    I'm presuming this is all server side issues at Adobe and would like to know if its being fixed.

    Are you forcing browsers to cache online publications before loading?

    These are both major issues that might force us to see alternative solutions if not fixed soon.
