Extend conditional text
>>>Conditional text is a nice feature, but only applies to text parts or paragraph. It can be used to show/hide images and tables in flow text, but it also be nice to hide single rows in a table being marked as conditional.

The numbered portion of a heading in its own frame cannot be included in conditional text
>>Windows 10 InDesign version 13.1 x64 (CC up-to-date)
…
> I created a sequentially numbered head using bullets and numbering in Style editor. Placed the head in its own frame at the top of a page (# mark at the end of the head). Selected the head (variously using click-drag and 4-click) Only the directly entered text highlighted - not the numbered portion, not the # symbol. I applied a text condition. When the condition was made invisible, the directly-entered text disappeared as expected, but the numbered portion of the text ("Section 9:") did not. Numerous attempts to select the1 vote -

Crash on HTML export when notes contain hyperlinks, and messed up HTML

Adjust Layout: add an option to ignore objects anchored in text or bring back legacy (2018) layout adjustment
>>I always made extensive use of the old layout adjustment feature in 'margins and columns', yet the new 'adjust layout' gives inconsistent and confusing results, resizing objects that never used to get changed.
>>It's gone from being very useful to a liability.
>>For me it was great for resizing the main text frame on multi-page (100s+ pages) books, but leaving the objects pasted into the text frame alone (figures, etc). Also moving page numbers aligned with margins, but not changing the sizes.

Ongoing Overset Text Error
>>>No matter where I paste the over-set text in whatever sized text box, that text box will then carry the exact same over-set text error. I click once to paste the text on a page so that it will automatically adjust for space, but still it carries over the same error.

[ID-4261011] In Find/Change, search for font style (eg "Book") incorrectly selects "Regular" style text, even if "Book" style isn't present

Drive File Stream causing InDesign to crash

GREP styles make UI drastically unresponsive in CC (while still fine in CS6)
>>Indesign 14.0.1, german, win7
>>For comparison in Indesign CS6 create a fresh single-page standard document, DinA4. Create a large textframe with 2 columns on page, fill frame with blind text. Have some styles with GREP styles looking for charactercombinations... (I know GREP styles are computationally intense, that's not the point.)
…
> Click and drag the the textframe with the mouse. The text gets greeked/switched off, the frame border is refreshed/re-drawn like 80 frames per second silky smooth WITH the grep styles. Save the document. Open that document in Indesign CC. Click and drag the frame - it's slow,5 votes -
Text engine buffer breaks if text contains diacritics
>>I regularily edit pages with fairly long text in Icelandic, a language which uses diacritics quite a bit. If the text gets to be more than a few hundred words, the text engine buffer starts acting up, especially when using accents. It will enter two or more accents in addition to the intended accented letter, sometimes mangling the order of letters too, always being laggy too. This is NOT a new problem, but I feel it has become much more pronounced in CC 2018.

Vertical Text Alignment not working correctly in InDesign 2020
>>>I recently upgraded to InDesign CC 2020 and find all the text in circles not aligned vertically center. Document was last opened in CC 2019 and these were fine. I haven’t modified these since. Rectangles are fine. See attached example - clearly not right and inconsistently so. I have tried every setting and I can’t get them to line up. Thanks!

Text glitch in paragraph following uneven 2 column text
>>>This is from InDesign version 17.3 but it's happened in earlier versions of InDesign CC. Text paragraph after an uneven 2-column list is overlapped onto a single line. Happens only when the right-hand column is longer than the left. This error was from a 500-page hardcover book where the author printed 100s of copies!
