Selecting object defining box appears only after leaving area
Since 2025 installed and object or text box, once selected, does not show selected until mouse is moved away from selected area.
This is not the case in 2024 application.

At first, I thought it was a lag, but text frames will only show as "selected" by the direct select tool if you click to select and then move your mouse. This has never been an issue before.
Update: I figured out how to fix it. I have to change my workspace. If I have a default workspace, my own or an Adobe default, I get the behavior until I switch to a different workspace. Once I have made at least once switch, I can then use any workspace and this delay behavior in selection does not happen.
