1. right click on the REVEAL in BRIDGE

   When I go to the LInks Panel and right click on Reveal in Bridge, both the 2021 version and this beta take me to the CC App screen, Not Bridge. Bridge is installed and is current

2. eye dropper tool missing

   Return the eyedropper to the tool panel. I rely on this tool daily and suddenly, it is gone. Why would Adobe take this away? I'm really annoyed. It looks like other people posted this same question a year ago, but mine was here on Friday and today it's not.

   When i want to open a new document/artbort etc. in Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign the following pop up appears.

4. Adobe Caslon Pro: Glyph as bullet does not function

   InDesign version 18.2.1 (Windows 10 x64). I would like to use a glyph as a bullet (the opentype digit 3 of Adobe Caslon Pro - an acorn). In the paragraph style box for my "Bulleted list" style, I am trying to add the bullet. When I click "add" and then click "ok," a standard round black dot appears in my list of bullet characters to choose from. If I try to add my preferred glyph (or any of the other opentype glyphs from the font's set, for that matter), the program tells me: "The selected bullet already appears in the Bullets and Numbering dialog box with this font and style association. Specify a different font or style, or select a different bullet." I also cannot add the glyph as bullet manually in the lists window. In short, adding a glyph as bullet is not functioning. There has been extensive discussion of this issue on the Adobe Support Community. Many people have suggested numerous solutions, but none have worked. One user has pointed out the encoding of ornaments in the most recent version of the font as an issue. I hope that you will consider remedying this apparent bug. Thank you.

   keep the option to remove the share button as long as it not working.
   It is the 4th major update it it still does not work at all!!!!!

6. Preferences won't fully show text

   Preference menu truncates the preferences option so it can not be read. Unable to resize window to see the text.

7. hand tool stuck after sleep

   Almost always after computer screen sleep, InDesign is stuck with hand tool selected. Switching tool appears to work (changing in the panel), but cursor is still showing (and working) as the hand tool. Works after restarting Indesign. Sometimes it also resolves itself after a while, if I go working in other apps.
   The problem has been present for several versions of both InDesign and macOS, so it's not a recently appeared problem.
   Data: MacOS Ventura 13.0.1, iMac 5K 2017 4.2GHz QuadCore i7 + 27' Apple Studio Display

8. "GREP Load Find with selected text" is incomplete on macOS

   version: any OS: any macOS
   Edit menu > Keyboard Shortcuts > Text and Tables > “GREP Load Find with selected text” also “GREP Load Find and Find Next instance”

   If the selected text contains meta characters that are escaped with a backslash, such as "End of Paragraph" (\r) or tab characters (\t), they are all captured as ¥r and ¥t.
   I’m forced to retype the ¥ into a \ before starting the search.
   On Windows, it works without retyping.

   “Forced line break" (\n) is not a problem as a function, but the display is corrupted, which makes me uneasy.

   It is a pity because it is a very useful function.

10. IDML Saving Stuck at 95% in InDesign 2022 - v 17.0.1x64 - Windows 10 Pro x64

    Idml Export Stuck at 95% for Indesign file (604) pages mostly text , i tried many times and resave the file in different indd file name and location, and still stuck in 95% when saving to IDML, even in exporting to IDML or Packaging the Project, the problem is the same

11. InDesign crashes when adding Cross-Reference

    Adobe InDesign CC 14.0 (Macintosh)

    I click Window > Type & Tables > Cross-References. With my cursor in a text box, I click "Create new cross-reference". Sometimes it crashes here; sometimes it opens the dialog.

    When it opens the dialog, there is nothing in the Cross-Reference Format dropdown. I can click the pencil and open the Cross-Reference Format dialog and create a new format, but when I click OK the whole program crashes and closes out.

    I am not experiencing freezing where I need to force-close -- it closes out completely, immediately.

    I created a blank doc and am able to use cross-references there with no issue, but that doc doesn't have all of the fonts and elements and other work from my main file -- which leads me to believe it's something about my file which is contributing to the issue.

    I tried saving as IDML which did not correct anything.

    To identify the cause of this issue, we had started our investigation with the aim to resolve it. You might have also received an email from us seeking more details to help in our investigation.

    We’ve concluded our investigation and came up with the finding: Either the issue is fixed in the latest release of InDesign or the issue was intermittent in nature at the time of its reporting and is not reproducible now.

    We recommend you to upgrade to the latest version of InDesign 2020 (if you’re not already on it). It contains a lot of stability fixes.

12. layer order

    InDesign is not honoring the layer stack. When I Select All and Create Outlines, some layers are moved to the top where they should not be. I have tried various configurations of the "... Remember Layers" options in the Layers panel, and this has no effect. This appears to be a bug.

    document.distribute() doesn't allow aligning of pages.

    doc.distribute (doc.pages.everyItem(), DistributeOptions.HORIZONTAL_SPACE, true, 0)

    RESULT:
    Error: Invalid value of parameter "alignDistributeItems" of method "distribute". Expected array of PageItems, but received (Page,Page,Page).

    Expected: I can align pages in the UI via Align panel so I expect I can do the same in scripting.

14. collapsed panels on the right side won't open

    version 21.0 ME
    collapsed panels on the right side don't always open when clicked on, it may work for a while but then stops until I reset my workspace, then it works for a while and then stops again.
    I tried creating a new workspace but still happens.
    The same thing happens to my coworker.

15. collapsed palette panels on the right side don't open

    Collapsed palette panels on the right side don't always open when clicked on, it may work for a while but then stops until I reset my workspace, then it works for a while and then stops again. Clicking icons (sometimes) does not open the palette panels. Resetting the workspace fixes it. We are using Windows 11 Pro. Coworkers have the same issues.

17. InDesign performance issue: Slow on documents present on server

    it's not an idea, but a problem. Indesign creates problems on the network and is very slow with server documents, as never before. The media told me to work locally, but I ask Adobe to solve the problem. Windows 10 64 bit - Intel processor 32 GB of ram.

18. library panels display

    the background color of the library panels in Indesign and Illustrator take on the same color of the interface (as from the latest version of indesign CC 16.1) As I have the dark interface selected, the icons and other assets are almost invisible. There is no way to change it, switching to the light interface is the only thing that helps.

19. InDesign and Acrobat accessibility conflict

    Adobe InDesign version: 2019 CC

    We are currently trying to establish the best workflow in creating fully accessible PDF's for screen readers and I believe we have come across a bug in the communication between InDesign and Acrobat.

    Quick summary:

    H1 elements on multiple lines read as separate elements unless assigned manually in Acrobat
    The Structure and Article order does not transfer to the PDF

    To explain the issue clearly I have numbered the images in the process order.

    2. I have setup ‘paragraph styles’ and used the correct ‘Export Tagging’ tags for each style.
    3. I have added the content I want to be read in Articles and put them in the correct order
    4. I have created tags and assigned all the content correctly
    5. I have reordered the ‘Structure’ to be in the reading order too

    Please note - the order of the ‘Structure’ and or ‘Articles’ does not transfer to Acrobat (after selecting the correct export settings.

       ‘Use structure for Tab Order’

       You can see the reading order does not match either the ‘Article’ or ‘Structure’ order from InDesign which I have set up.

    You can also see that the elements are ‘Spans’ not H1, H2 and P tags.

       You can see the screen readers reading order by the numbers shown on this image which again does not match the order I set up in InDesign.

       The tag order doesn’t match the structure setup in InDesign
       Also there is another bug when reading H1 tags on multiple lines.

    You can see how the H1 tag is broken by 4 lines. This has been tested and you have to swipe 4 times to listen to the full H1 header.

    1. 6 Initial PDF review - tag h1 splitting - fix by order assigning.png In Acrobat I have then gone into the reading order and manually set the main header to a H1 tag. This then groups the text in the tag order window and fixes the issue of it being multilines. You can then also see the tag has changed from Span to H1.

    The same thing needs to be done for the other multi layered heading tags.

    I hope this is clear enough to understand.

20. BLUE LAYERS ON ALL THE PAGES

    Every document I open, new or Existing file -
    there are blue layers on all the pages at the window 'pages'.
