Persistent graphics issues
There are STILL graphics problems in Indesign 17.2. Things disappearing off the screen that don't reappear unless you try and move them (zooming in and out doesn't work), streaks appearing across the screen.
I am so bored of the constant bugs in this app.

Temporary file not working
In the company I'm working at we have our files on a server that we share. When a customer have some edits requested we get an email in our system with the changes required. Me or one of my colleagues dive in to the job and fix the things in InDesign and then send a pdf back to the customer.
This works really great and it's usually small changes here and there in quarterly and annual reports we work with.
But now it seems like the temporary file saved on the server isn't working like it used to.

epub and mp3
To adobe,
I am an InDesign user, to create the e-book for the publish.Today, I face a serious problem and hope to find out a solution.
It is the problem, I insert mp3, each page around 4, the similar page around 30-40 page.
The mp3 maybe not the same on each page, it’s may different, test in the InDesign app, and all is fine.
If exported to PDF, also it is fine and could sound normally.
However, if exported to EPUB, the first 16 of the mp3 file, also means the first 4 pages can work, the rest of…

Eyedropper doesn't pick up the correct color
I'm trying to select a color in a pdf that was placed in an InDesign document. The eyedropper won't pick up the correct color. It's consistently choosing a color that's darker than the color I want. I have zoomed in all the way so I can click on individual pixels, but that doesn't make a difference. I'm clicking on a light gray (almost white) pixel and the eyedropper is choosing a dark gray.
The layer with the pdf is the active layer and it is unlocked. I'm using InDesign CC 14.0.1

3 Bugs one Update > Edge smoothing doesnt work correctly > Effects previews and use doesent work correctly and shredderesd text >
After the last update, the following things no longer work properly:
1. CC Libraries
(Crashes and shows either a reduced or enlarged section of the library and is no longer usable. Only a program restart helps ... short term! see screenshot 1. the bug was already in Illustrator!)- edge smoothing! (Not only since the update): ... Does not work properly for quite some time! 2.1 Completely covered areas, lines and graphics have a slight contour due to the edge smoothing and become minimally visible (although these would actually be invisible and not visible in print) or form minimally soft edges,…

Interface not accurately displaying position of objects.
This has been happening ever since CC was released, and it drives me nuts.
Example: I have a rectangle perfectly aligned to the grid, but the frame edge does not share the same screen pixel as the grid line when zoomed out. Check the image examples:2 votes -
Red shapes appear on Indesign Pages
• Indesign 18.3 (but problem has persisted from earlier versions)
• Mac Book Pro with M1 Max running Ventura 13.4.1 (but problem has persisted from earlier versions)This bug has persisted since I upgraded to my current MacBook. When dealing with (usually large) documents, strange red shapes appear on the pages in . Zooming in or out or changing the view or Display Performance settings can get them to disappear, but they eventually return. They are not actual objects and I have not had any issues with crashes or with the resulting files. See the attached screen shot for…

What if I could double click the application title bar to minimize a window into the dock?
Dear Adobe,
Double-clicking a title bar to minimize a window is Mac behavior that goes back to the first release of OS10 in 2001. It is based on an even older behavior from OS9 where double clicking a title bar would "windowshade" the window like a roller blind rolling up into itself.Apple and Adobe train us all the time to adapt to new technologies and interfaces. Some behaviors we learn are easy to shake off and adapt to the new ones, especially if we haven't done them for very long. As a creative professional who has obviously done this…

Objects won't snap in digital document (video provided)
Whether I'm moving or resizing my document, the object boundaries refuse to snap. Video is provided showing the issue. In this video, I'm zoomed in as far as I can go:

InDesign CC 2020 lagging between actions
Upgraded from InDesign 2019 and now I have an annoying lagging issue between actions like zooming, page scrolling, selecting objects, etc. Searched and many seem to be experiencing the same thing. I did everything mentioned... deleted, reinstalled, deleted cache, deleted preferences, etc with no luck. I'm on a late 2015 mac using Catalina.
I Reinstalled 14.0.3 and and there is no lag on that version and works great. Seems to be only in v 15.0.x
FYI, I temporarily resolved the lag issue in v15.0.1 by disconnecting the computer from the internet and work offline. Doing so resolved the lag…

Preview glitches.
ID 17.2.1
Zooming in/out in a document sometimes displays glitches/artifacts that block the view of the actual design.
Moving the window or dragging the document around the pasteboard fixes the issue; still, it's annoying because it blocks one from working properly.1 vote -
[GPU Performance issue] ID 16.2.1 introduces GPU lag and stuttering on macOS
The InDesign 16.2.1 update for Mac introduces a general lag when panning, scrolling, or zooming in and out, using either the trackpad or the hand tool.
In the previous version of InDesign, when the Application Frame was active, each one of these actions was completely buttery smooth and GPU-accelerated.
Now, it's stuttery and choppy, and an overall unpleasant experience (although this was the default level of performance for many previous years of InDesign; however, now that we've seen much better, with software that actually makes use of our powerful hardware, we'd like not to regress).
The issue was found…

ALT key results in stall
Pressing the ALT key - be that for zooming out, using a fitting option, or any other shortcut, slows indesign to the point of non-performance, sometimes for 20 seconds or more. Happens primarily when I'm in a document with more pages/items. Have uninstalled all adobe programs and reinstalled, hasn't fixed.

type shifting
Type in indesign 13.1 constantly shifting - it as though there is a text wrap that causes it to "bump down" a space. There is no rhyme or reason to it - it is happening every time I pace a text box. SOMETIMES zooming out will fix it, but is is a real drag to not have WYSIWYG. Annoying
