  3. Data Merge Issue with Chinese Characters in Adobe InDesign 2025

    Adobe InDesign 2017 (English version)
    Adobe InDesign 2025 (20.0, Traditional Chinese version)
    Steps to Reproduce the Issue

    Open Adobe InDesign and create a new document.
    Prepare a CSV file with Traditional Chinese text using UTF-8 encoding.
    Use the Data Merge feature to import the CSV file into InDesign.
    Place the merged data field into the document layout.
    Preview or finalize the merge.
    Expected Result

    The Chinese characters in the CSV file should be displayed correctly in the merged document without any distortion or encoding issues.
    Actual Result

    The Chinese characters appear as garbled text (random symbols…

  4. Adobe InDesign Server 2021 has stopped working

    With some documents to be (automatically) processed by Indesign Server, InDesign Server stops working - and we get the Windows message "Adobe InDesign Server 2021 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program".

    As after a while our automatic system is picking up the same (possibly questionable) document again, we end up with a system where all InDesign Server instances are hanging, and no further processing happens (until a human being goes to the server and clicks the messages away).

  5. Bugs with Whitespaces in Justification’s Composer when work with Thai language and other issues

    As my report on bug with text wrapping in 2020 version (https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/38998636-bug-with-world-ready-composer-when-use-space-like). Many of issues were fixed, but some still remain.

  6. Pdf export and Adobe print to pdf gets image errors in prints from InDesign 19.3 x64

    The pdf looks correct in the pdf but lines looks very different after printing the pdf. Both export in different qualities, and Adobe print to pdf different qualities gets the same results. The image is a map and the errors are desturbingly big. Microsoft print PDF works so the errors are Adobes. The map itself is from ArcMap GIS and printed as pdf with Adobe pdf printer and linked to InDesign.

  7. CUSTOM URLS FOR ADOBE PUBLISH ONLINE BROCHURES

    <> Custom URL, so it looks more professional to clients rather than it saying "Ind.Adobe" with loads of numbers following it.

    <> While on the subject of the URL, it would be fantastic if we could customise the cover photo/thumbnail rather than it showing the adobe logo, I'd like to show my brands logo. It would be a great feature for when we send the link in WhatsApp

  8. Type library is not automatically created by CC2020 installation. Error 104705: Unable to load Adobe InDesign Type Library (Version 1.0)

    Extensions and scripts halting or crashing after installing CC2020, due to a missing type library.
    Our customers report errors after updating to CC2020, and I got the same error when I tried. Our script make a halt at a DoScript call, with this error: 104705: Unable to load Adobe InDesign Type Library (Version 1.0)
    After starting InDesign CC2020 "AS ADMINISTRATOR", a missing type library is obviously created: the message and error disappears after doing that once.
    It was not enough for my user just to have administrator privileges on my computer and in the domain, I had to explicitly start…

  9. Adobe Indesign 2024 - frequent "Hang" issues & "error report" messages.

We recently purchased Adobe Indesign 2024 and we are frequently facing "hang" issues where the screen gets stuck on opening an indesign file or while adding few lines of texts while editing a file. we are neither able to perform any further action nor close the indesign program. Only if we end the task we are able to exit.

  10. Mark positioning (GPOS) went wrong for text on path

    Khmer rendering has been working well on most of the Adobe products. InDesign is one of them, especially after the fix: https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/36534535-khmer-script-justification-is-broken.

    However, I've just noticed that there is another bug with GPOS for Khmer (or maybe other scripts), when the text is on a path.

  11. Unpinning of Adobe Cloud Folder in Windows Explorer is not working

    The Adobe Cloud Folder at the Windows Explorer can not be removed. The instruction on https://helpx.adobe.com/de/creative-cloud/kb/remove-cc-files-folder-shortcut-navigation-panel.html is not working.

  12. Powerpoint document links don't work in Adobe Publish

    When I create a button that links to a Powerpoint document stored on my company OneDrive and publish via Adobe Publish online, the link brings up a black tab once clicked. The buttons work fine for any other document type, such as a PDF, but not with Powerpoint.

  13. Hanging Indent plus Left Justify makes words float out of text frame

    I often use bulleted lists with the commmand/backslash (hanging indent) tool. If the text is aligned left, no problem. But when I use left justify, it sends some of the words off to the right — outside of the text frame! Please see examples below.

    The text samples here were using Adobe Paragraph Composer. But when I switched it to World-Ready it fixed it!

    I've been having this problem for a while. Before I updated to InDesign 2018 and after the update as well. I'm running El Capitan 10.11.6 on a Mid 2011 iMac.

  14. Adobe InDesign 2020 Super Slow

    InDesign 2020 is super slow. I cannot have two files open at the same time anymore (a problem for me). The response time between mouse clicks is up to 10-30 sec! I have moved my files to an external drive (off of the network to eliminate VPN as the problem), still no improvement. It has crashed, and when prompted I have sent a report. My program is current 15.0.2.

  15. Printing a document with variable fonts garbles them

    (I sent test fonts to Josh Hadley at Adobe yesterday, i.e. Aktiv Grotesk VF)

    1. Select variable font from the menu (e.g. Aktiv Grotesk VF)
    2. Select world-ready composer
    3. Select a couple different instances from the drop-down or select an instance via the slider (e.g. Black, Bold, Regular, Light) and set some text in each
    4. Print the page from InDesign on a PostScript printer

    See the attached image. What should happen is that the repeating blocks of text should be set in the different instances you selected in step 3. They are replaced by a random font instead, only the first instance…

  16. Copy and Paste - Adobe InDesign 2021 v 16.1.0.20

    I am using Adobe InDesign 2021 v16.1.0.20. Every time I try to copy and paste the app completely crashes. Then when I try to restore the file I was working on, as InDesign prompts, it completely crashes again. I am using a MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020) macOS Big Sur 11.2.3.

  19. Adobe Review: automatic adoption of text suggestions and incorrect filter behavior

    When I receive comments on replacing text or deleting text sections via Adobe Review and these are displayed in Adobe InDesign 20.0, the display switches to comments with the status clarified. After each correction, which cannot be accepted with approval but must be made manually, I have to set the filter in the control panel back to unresolved comments to work on.
    It would be desirable for a filter to only be set in the control panel when I activate it. I would also like options for inserting, replacing or deleting text to be applied with a click and not…
