Logical error: searching words in selected text with Find/Change unselects text
>>>When using the Find/Change dialog to find text, there is an option to only search in a "Selection" of text. When the word is found, Indesign will mark that word, which would also unselect the text and no further search in the selection could be done. This is a logical bug.

Creating New Hyperlink - doesn’t copy the full selected URL

Workaround: User can copy the URL to the Clipboard and paste it into the URL field when creating a Hyperlink.—

Text anchors in alternate layouts break
>>>If I create a document with text anchors and then make an alternate layout, InDesign gets confused as to where the links should go. I would love to be able to create the alternate layout and have InDesign understand that those links go to the locations in the newly created layout.
>>Apparently, the broken text anchors in alternate layouts have been an issue for a while. Here's a thread on Creative Pro (>https://creativepro.com/topic/text-anchors-in-alternate-layouts-broken/>) from 2013 about it.

Text not active after clicking on pdf markup comment panel
>>>After clicking on the comment in the pdf comments panel, and applying the comment (or selecting the comment after auto-applying), sometimes I have to click again in the actual text frame to start typing any adjustments i need to make. It would be great if I could just type in the text frame after clicking on the comment, without having to again click in the text frame.

CC2021: Alternate text for hyperlinks
>>I am reposting this from >https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/38972206-cc2020-alternate-text-for-hyperlinks>
>>Because despite Adobe's claim it is STILL NOT FIXED IN 2021 16.2.1
>>"In CC2020 a new function for writing alternate text for links was introduced.

The alt text in PDF is presented by alt text, which is forbidden in the PDF world, where alt text only should be used for non text elements, e.g. pictures. By presenting only the alt text the accessibility is lost – this is against the goal to hav a better output!>A

text
>>>My text changes to alternating capital and lower case letters throughout all typed words. It does not change if I have caps lock on the keyboard but will be all caps if I select it on the menu bar. But it still shows red spelling errors with asking to add the work to the dictionary. It is shown in alternating caps/lower case letters there too.

Flipped text in PDF created from Canva
>>When placing a PDF with certain stylized fonts, the text is being flipped and enlarged. Seems to be specific to Mac OS.
>>PDF docs have been created in Canva. They appear correctly when opened in Adobe Acrobat Pro, both on Windows and Mac. They are being placed in InDesign, and at that time the text titles being flipped and enlarged. I am working from v. 16.0.1. This was not an issue in previous versions. When I use png docs instead, and place those, I have no issues. I have been an Indesign user for about 3 years.

Bug: Conditional text not shown as underlined when text is marked otherwise
>>>Version: Indesign 17.x on Windows 10
>
> Problem: Sometimes text is being marked in bright yellow by Indesign. This is something related to character spacing and hyphenation and set. If that text is also set to be conditional, the underlines are not shown. In the attached picture you see it. This is a continuous conditional text.1 vote -
[ID-4275284][Windows][KB5074109][KB5073724]InDesign encounters Error 2 while saving files or crashes during the save process
>>Abruptly files that have been edited on a Mac are corrupting when opened on PC and a save is attempted - often crashing InDesign repeatedly. Can normally eventually save a copy to 'Downloads' - rather than the shared Dropbox folder and then overwrite but tends to take several restarts and recovery attemps / saving as idml. Gives a variety of error messages - sometimes error 2, sometimes unable to do this process, some times tried to save but couldn't... any ideas?!

Jumbled Text
>>>I'm having an issue with catalogs I'm working with. When I open the most recent version of an INDD file, there is jumbled text in the headings and subheadings, even though the PDF exported fine when the file was last opened. Advice?

Text originated from MS Word yields problematic results when exported to HTML (excessive <span> statements)
>>I’ve stumbled upon a bug evident in text originated from MS-Word, which affects the HTML structure when exported from InDesign. Originally I encountered it with Hebrew text in heavily-style-driven paragraphs, however I re-created it in a completely “clean” style environment as well:
>>(1) Create a new file in MS-Word. Type some text into it (as “Lorem Ipsum”).
>>(2) Copy the text and Paste into InDesign.
>>(3) Reset the Paragraph Style; then apply a Character style to the text (it could be a Character style with no attributes).
>>(4) Paste the same text into Notepad, then
