Unable to drag & drop images into Indesign 2021 Open File
- Set-up a new document
- Have added text and images as normal.
- Command + D is successful when placing an image, however, drag & drop does nothing. No image shows in the thumbnail near the cursor either.
This is an issue as it is much quicker to drag & drop than placing the images from different locations.

I have the exact same problem, with InDesign v. 17.4. Ctrl+D works, but it's very impractical in many occasions.

I have the same problem - any ideas how to fix
