disappearing text paragraph style
>>I am using InDesign 17.4 under macOS 12.6 on an iMac Retina 5K, 27", 2017 with a 3.4 GHz i5, 32GB RAM, and a Radeon Pro 570.
>>When I attempt to create a new paragraph style with an active text selection and check 'Apply Style to Selection', any change I make to the new paragraph style, including simply naming the style, renders the text invisible.
>>The expected result, of course, would be to have visible text.
>>The actual result is invisible text.

text box link
>>>This is a bug affecting my Windows 10 version (18.3 x64) that has been happening for the last week or so, presumably with the latest update. Text box links will break for no reason leaving the content displayed in each text box as its new content. I actually watched it break the connection between the text boxes while I was doing nothing to my document.

Pressing letter "2" changes text layout / format, but only in one document
>>>Pressing letter "2" changes text layout / format, but only in one document
>>Hi, I've had this issue with one InDesign file. Whenever I press letter "2", text formatting in that paragraph changes, and the letter "2" won't appear. Copy+paste works, but that should not be the answer. This problem occurs only in this one document (and been here over several version updates), so I assume it might be some sort of quick key setting, and I don't know how or where to fix it (already searched through quick key listing). Please help?

Ghost hyperlinks can't be fixed
>>With placed Word text, I often have 'ghost hyperlinks', meaning I need there's no active hyperlink in the text but I'm not allowed to select that text and add a hyperlink – 'New hyperlink' is greyed out.
>>Double-clicking the paragraph inspires this message: "all corrupt hyperlinks in the selected text have been removed," but I'm still unable to add a hyperlink. The only fix I've found is to cut the text, paste it in another app, copy and re-paste it into ID as fresh 'uncorrupted' text.
>>Cutting all relevant paragraphs makes ID crash.

Cannot delete empty pages
>>>I have empty pages at the end of my chapter. There are text frames on them, because they got created automatically. There is no content in the text frames. If I delete the page, it's gone until I scroll, then it re-appears. If I delete the text frame, the page duplicates itself. I've seen the issue described in the forums, but the solution is such a hack.

Multiple spaces between words
>>>No idea just a simple bug report, but first your system places multiple adds in the process of getting to this point. Second I'm not interested in playing games with your process, I do not have time. NOW, here is the problem:
>>While copying text from >https://www.easa.europa.eu/sites/default/files/dfu/EasyAccessRules_for_AirOperations-Oct2019.pdf> on the while on the internet and pasting into InDesign I get one or two spaces between the words. I then have to remove the spaces manually. I'm working with a lot of information and do not need to take the time removing the spaces.

PDF Export causes Acrobat to crash
>>>I am having trouble exporting InDesign files to PDF.
>>This is what I'm seeing:
>
> Exporting PDFs from InDesign works fine if no PDF is open. If you have a PDF already open or are exporting a 2nd PDF with the first still open it crashes Adobe.>I have updated Windows to a later version, checked drivers, the event viewer logs. I looked for similar issues online, repaired Acrobat from Control panel and from within the app.
>>Please share any advice.
>4 votesHi,
Please let us know if it the InDesign application crashing or Acrobat?
If it is Acrobat, please post it here: acrobat.uservoice.comThanks,

Underline disappears when paragraph shading is used I have a paragraph style for text that needs shading and a character style for text wit
>>Underline disappears when paragraph shading is used
>>I have a paragraph style for text that needs shading and a character style for text with a hyperlink. The underline disappeares when shading is used. This happens when the height of the shading of the next used paragraph style is touching the underline in the previous paragraph.
>>The text remains on top so I would expect that the underline (which is part of the text, in my opinion) should also stay on top.

crash font style
>>>Unfortunately, the Mac crashes when you want to create a new character format in Indesign. I deleted the default settings and restarted Indesign -Mac. But unfortunately that didn't help.

Find command highlights text in background
>>In long INDD documents with text flowing from one page frame to another, the text often does not refresh properly when the page is turned. Using the Find command then often highlights text that is in the text story but is not visible on screen when highlighted by the Find command. The attached JPEG shows an example of the problem. The JPEG is a screenshot of an INDD page showing a Find for "Brown" but with random text highlighted at line 15. "Brown" is there, but it is in the background, and it cannot be selected, edited, etc. The

indesign 16.0 - new bug - text-wrap with image not correct
>>>If i place an image into a frame and set text-wrap on that frame, it works correct and text breaks fine. If however i set the same text-wrap on the image (double click image or select content) instead of the frame, it will not wrap the text at the correct width. See attached screenshot.
>1 voteThe values that are shown in the Text Wrap panel & also the Frame Fitting Options dialog for Crop amounts relate to the inherent image size, not to the size it appears within InDesign – that is, they refer to the image as though it were placed at 100% scale. That means it’s based on the image resolution and the scaling at which it is placed.
To see how this works, when you place an image, just click on the document – it will come at its 100% scale. Now select the Image contents, open the Text Wrap panel, and input 30mm in one of the fields, the value will be correct. Now scale down the image contents to 50% of its size – now measure the text wrap – it will be roughly 15mm in size.Hope it helps.

Crash of InDesign CC25 resetting the settings to default
