Inserted Images appear distorted under macOS High Sierra (Version 10.13 (17A365) and Adobe InDesign CC (Version 2017.1)
In InDesign is a Problem with inserted Images. Sometimes the inserted Pictures appearing distorted when u switch to preview mode.
Please update InDesign to the latest version, InDesign CC 2018 (13.0) for the fix of the issue.

I'm hzving this issue as well and turning off GPU does not work

When the preview-mode is in use, one of a bunch of pictures gets messed up. Once you return to the "work-mode" (by pressing "w" again) the picture looks as it should (see attached screenshots).
The PDF written is ok, yet it is a annoying thing to deal with when working on layouts.

When images are moved, or changed size, indesign crashes most of the time and sometimes after moving the images, they go weird (pictured in file) or it does the same when scrolling down
When I open Photoshop image in Photoshop, the image is sharper (less pixel) than if I open Indesign your image is linked. The indesign image becomes more pixel both on screen and print (printer Epson 4900) with kind regards Ake Westin mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
