Opening file in Adobe InDesign CC 2018 prevents same file from opening in InCopy CC 2018
InCopy CC 2018 users get kicked out of file if file is opened in InDesign CC 2018. InCopy CC 2018 cannot open files create in InDesign CC 2018. See attachment.
The issue has been fixed with Apple’s MacOS High Sierra 10.13.4 Beta (17E139).
Thanks,
InDesign Team

I updated InDesign today 12/12/17 and we are having this issue. running El Capitan and confirmed 13.0.1 release is running. What do I do, we use InCopy A LOT with multiple editors, it is our workflow.

Yes, the InDesign CC 2018 file lives on a server within our organization. We've been producing a publication this way for over 2 years. We've had no major problem with CC 2017, but 2018 does not allow for the InDesign file to be open and InCopy to be open at the same time.
Keep in mind, editors are accessing this file from their InCopy CC 2018 on their Mac Book pro laptops. This file was created on a Apple MacBook Pro (retina) in macOS Sierra version 10.12.6
