  1. BUG - Text wrap around image ok in 15.0.1, broken in >= 15.0.2 when changing text color

    1. InDesign 15.0.1 (ok), 15.0.2 and higher (broken)
    2. Change text color in document
    3. Expected result: change of text color

    Additional info: the same document is working perfectly well in 15.0.1 but broken in 15.0.2 and higher, running on macOS 10.14.6.

  2. [ID-4257733]The amount of “Indent to Here” in a paragraph with a “Text Wrap” object at the beginning of the line is wider than usual.

    1. Version of Adobe InDesign Windows CC2023-2024
    2. Steps to reproduce the issues Place an object with "Text Wrap" at the beginning of the line and insert "Indent to Here" in the paragraph.
    3. Expected result Wrap at "Indent to Here"
    4. Actual result A gap is created where the "Text Wrap" is added to the wrap of "Indent to Here".

    I suspect that the issue mentioned in the post below may be related to it being fixed in 2023 (18.0).

  3. Text Anchors For Hyperlinking Keep Changing To Different Anchors

    After manually changing every single text anchor back to the proper destination and saving, the text anchors have now changed to different locations or have been removed completely. This is a huge bug that has caused me to waste a week of time.

  5. Import Word file - cannot set 'Import as Static Text' as Default Preset

    When I import a Word document I want the option 'Import as Static Text' ticked all the time.

    The problem is that if I tick 'Import as Static Text' and make it a new Default Preset, InDesign remembers this until I quit InDesign and then relaunch it. The relaunched InDesign doesn't remember it - it remembers the Preset name, but it doesn't remember to tick 'Import as Static Text'.

  6. InDesign CC2019 - faux bold text issue when exporting pdf.

    Only the pages with text+jpg are exported properly.
    The pages with any other image type with some transparency, i.e. psd, ai, even png, have bold text after exporting to pdf.

    It's an old issue, coming back every now and then in many InDesign editions in the past. So we all should know how to deal with it, shouldn't we? Well, here is the rub.   7. Type is shifting inside text box upon moving.

    I've been noticing when I use the type tool, I can fill it as normal. Style things with the appropriate fonts/colors but should I move the box it self to a new location the spacing above the font will grow or shrink and shift everything inside that text box. It almost acts like it is adjusting like it has text flow around an image feature selected. Sometimes remove all the styles then re-applying them will fix it but this is issue had been annoying me for maybe the past 2 months.

  9. Scroll bar disappears in Pages panel, swatches panel,Layers panel and background task panel loses its boxes on the right.

    2017.1 Release, 12.1.0.56 x64 build

    The pages panel loses its scroll bar and doesn't display all pages. Panel needs to be opened wide to display anything. This cuts off easy access to document's later pages.

  10. Copying text frames results in pasted PDF

    Copying text frames from older versions of InDesign (example 2022 to 2025 – v.20.1) results in a pdf frame, meaning the text is uneditable. The only workaround I have discovered is to copy the text itself, paste it into the new document, and reformat the frame. I believe the discussion posted here - https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign-discussions/indesign-locking-text-frames-with-old-id-files/m-p/15147987 – is referring to the same issue.

  11. Better Text Box Controls

    Could the in port and out port boxes be shifted slightly away from the bounding box corners? They’re currently positioned very close to the resize handles, which makes it harder to resize text frames — a much more frequent action than linking text.

    While you're at it, please expand the interactive area around bounding box handles so the cursor stays in Scale mode slightly farther from the corners, reducing accidental switches to the Rotate tool when resizing objects.

  13. IOS picking up URL in plain Text

    Creating a QR using the "Plain Text" option, to generate a note when scanned. There are a few URL's within the plain text. Android phones are picking up the QR code as intended, opening a note on their phone. However, iPhones are picking up the first URL in the plain text, despite it being 1/3 of the way down the text. It doesn't matter what the URL is. Third party cameras and Android cameras work fine, iOS cameras don't.

  14. Fit frame to content creates duplicate text boxes

    Indesign 16.4 on Mac 10.15.3
    Selecting multiple text boxes and hitting "fit frame to content" causes all text boxes to duplicate.

    An inline text box anchor immediately before a word makes the text break out of the column margin. It doesn't happen if the anchor is embedded in the word

  16. Text to Image (Beta) pop-up comes up CONSTANTLY

    This won't go away. He keeps popping up and then dominates the mouse/command prompts. The 'got it" button is hidden below the my icon dock and it disappears before I can hit it and if I do hit it, it keeps popping up anyways.

  19. InDesign 2020: crashing, undo doesn't work, missing fonts, text wrap is broken, so many bugs

    The Undo bug is back. I tried to undo some text (in a table) and it reverted the document back to the previous save and then crashed.

    On re-opening, ID complains that it can't find my installed fonts that I used in the document. They show up in the document, it just complains that they are not there. These are fonts that I bought and installed, so I know they are available.

    I have also been having problems with text wrap not working half the time. I set a box (I've tried both image and text boxes) to text wrap…

    As per the customer, the issue got resolved by uninstall and re installation of InDesign 2020.

  20. Thaana text properly composed in 14.0.3 messed after converting to 15.0

    Weird changes in the text after converting file to 15.0. (Upon opening a file with Thaana text) see attached images.

    Diacritics completely messed up AFTER recomposing (change alignment or reapply World-Ready composer) See attached images.

    Cannot use double/triple-clicking to select text composed in the new composer. (can select paragraphs already composed in the previous version, if no changes are made to that paragraph.)

    To see it in a new document: create a new document, copy and paste Thaana text (ex: Dhivehi Wikipedia), apply World-Ready composer.
