InDesign 2018 crashes when I update the links in the links panel
InDesign 2018 crashes when I update the links in the links panel. It does not matter which size they have.
I'm using Indesign 2018 since yesterday. Running on a power Mac 2017.
To finish my document I had to install indesign 2017 again and start all over! What can I do?
Fix of the issue is now available in InDesign’s latest November’17 update.
Please upgrade to the latest version InDesign CC 13.0.1 for the fix.
If you are unable to see the update, go to Creative Cloud application and click on the context menu on the top right and click on Check for App Updates.

I am having this same issue - latest version of Adobe InDesign CC. I cannot export a file, so I went through and checked my links, found the one that seems to be causing the issue, go to replace it, InDesign replaces the link, bottom bar shows "checking" and then it crashes.
I still have this problem that Indesign crashes after relinking a document, using the newest update of Indesign CC (it's now 2019). Adobe please fix this error it is very annoying!
I'm running latest 2019 inDesign - and it's doing the same thing. Really inconvenient.
I did the update and even uninstalled and re-installed and it just hangs when it asks me to update the links. Do you all have another patch.
13.0.1 is the version I'm working on. And we're getting crashes. Just updated in December 2017.
InDesign crashes after relinking a missing Incopy-Text-Link
Yes, this solution helped.
When updated modified linked files, latest version of InDesign completely crashes. I am on Mac, running High Sierra, and am able to replicate this across multiple machines. Reverting to 2017 fixes the issue.
Works for us. great!
I had the same problem after I enabled the "ICC Profile" column. I wil disable it and find out what happens. I'd like to receive the information as soon as it is resolved for I need this column in certain cases.
On a Mac under macOS10.12.6.
I am trying to re-link it from the links panel. In German it says "Erneut verknüpfen..."
It is not a specific image, it is with all images on all occasions.
thanks for your questions.
1) yes! I tried it several times. Even after restarting the computer InDesign2018 was crahing.
2) I think so. The links panel showed: status, color, name, ppi, size ICC Profile and scale
It's not an idea, it's a bug report.
INDD CC 2018
When I try to replace an image in an existing document, CC immediately quits with an error. The only way for me is to empty the existing Frame and then load the new image into it, losing the size and position it had.
