Copy & paste within a numbered list can cause wrong numbering
>>>If you create a numbered list which runs over 2 or more columns and copy some text within the list from one paragraph to another the numbering changes. In my example you have 2 times 1 in the list.
>>To make it even more crazy this only happens when you use the Adobe Single-line composer. If you work with the Adobe ParagraphComposer there's no problem at all.
>>If you change the text frame from 2 columns to 1 column and back the error disappears as well.

Copy/paste creates <unknown> objects
>>>InDesign CC 13.1
>>When copying text frames from Illustrator to InDesign, type gets outlined, which is fine. For some reason, it is not recognized by InDesign as a compound path, but rather as a group of <unknown> objects. Having many of those in a document slows down InDesign greatly.
>>A fix is more than welcome. Thanks.

Indesign incredibly slow or crashes with more than one document open
>>InDesign (15.0.2) becomes almost unusable with more than (1) document open. Trying to copy text or images from one document to the next or just work in one of the documents while the other is open results in minutes-long wait times (or complete crash) to even select a text box, type a character, etc.
>>Steps to reproduce:
>
> Open INDD doc (either on network or desktop)
> Open second INDD doc
> Attempt to edit text in either doc or copy over text from one document to the next>Set-up info:

> InDesign 15.0.2
> Windows26 votesAs confirmed by a customer over the thread that the issue is fixed in InDesign 2020(v15.1.2.226).
We recommend you upgrade to either InDesign 2020(v15.1.2.226) or to the latest InDesign 2021(v16.0.0.77) for the fix.

Text Variables using Running Headers don't show up in Table Header Rows when table is threaded across multiple pages
>>>I have a table running across multiple pages. In the Header row I want to have a Text Variable using Running Header to pull the text using a particular paragraph style. The text variable doesn't show up. If I unthread the table so it's just a single frame, it appears.
>>My workaround is to unthread to one frame, convert the text variable to text, then rethread. It works if I do this at the end, but defeats the purpose of using them if customer wants last minute edits.

InCopy Assignments Updates Crash InDesign
>>>I have an InDesign book file housing several InDesign files that are news page documents with InCopy assignments. When I open the .indd files from the .indb file and a story has been updated (update links dialogue) when I click on "update links" InDesign crashes. I've clicked "don't update links" and it doesn't crash. However, when I go to the page that needs updating and I click update in the assignments panel, InDesign crashes.

Adding anchored frame to the text corrupts the text

spellchecker causes InDesign to crash
>>>I've had this occur across multiple files; some new, some old.
>
> I cannot stop the behaviour from happening despite cache and com. dumps, prefernence resets, etc. - whenever I run Spellchecker InDesign disappears/crashes. I'm losing money constantly as I'm a designer who outputs a lot of multi page brochures, books, magazines, etc. and my efficiency has ground to a halt.8 votesThe issue has been fixed in the latest release of InDesign – InDesign 2021.
Please update to this new version of InDesign to get the fix.—

Better Text Box Controls
>>>Could the in port and out port boxes be shifted slightly away from the bounding box corners? They’re currently positioned very close to the resize handles, which makes it harder to resize text frames — a much more frequent action than linking text.
>>While you're at it, please expand the interactive area around bounding box handles so the cursor stays in Scale mode slightly farther from the corners, reducing accidental switches to the Rotate tool when resizing objects.

Text Frame Issues
>>>Can't find this so hopefully this is new, but every time I nudge a text box with my arrow keys it ends up somehow shrinking the box or something because I get an arrow saying there's text outside the frame. It's fine... I nudge it once with the arrow key and I get the little red error box in the corner.
